  1. Same here!! A good few hundred miles after the berks were on and hey presto, there it was, in all its orange glory.
  2. Mine is in exactly the same condition. A flea's fart would turn mine into rust dust. Need to get one of those nice shiny white after market ones too. So thanks for that link GM!!
  3. Crickey, that must have been a sobering moment. Glad to hear you're o.k. Shame about the ol'corolla though. Hope it's sorted which it sounds like it's going to
  4. Second hand/reusable rocket are not words that should go together. There's no guarantee you'll even get to the stars. Maybe just over the north circular before you're barbecued with a great view of Hatfield.
  5. I think it's a job very well done. Really enhanced the looks of the car tastefully. Looks super street cool
  6. Wow! 5-6 years ago S14s were going for roughly 6k.
  7. I was waiting for someone to say that.
  8. Personally, I really like the wheels, they've enhanced the car. It does look like it's wincing for a pee a little bit but overall a lovely car with a hefty portion of clout. I love the understated looks. Whilst it's not something that sticks out like a sore thumb, it'll still blow a boy racer into the weeds.
  9. well, thanks to the dash cam you have got them by the balls IMO. Use it, get money from them and take it somewhere else to have the work done. OR get the work done, send them the invoice for the cost along with the dash cam evidence.
  10. This sounds interesting!! I'm going to do some reading on it. Thanks!
  11. Happy birthday fella. Have a birthday blast in that lovely R33 GTR of yours......... ya git!!!
  12. Yey!! Simple fix is always a relief.
  13. Soooooo jealous!! Done a sterling job. Lovely S14.
  14. Flat battery..... Lol.. that really made me laugh.
  15. I was going to say Titanic but I suppose that's more of a sitcom. Event Horizon
  16. Of course it's ugly, it's a convertible. Bring the rain!!!!
  17. Yes i know you want to see proof of it as i have seen from previous posts on another thread. I'm sorry to break this to you, but i don't think it's anyone's ambition to prove it to you. Nor does it make it any more believable if you give it the thumbs up after the proof has been provided. As per mentioned, if the ECU dials any gains back -which it does- here's what you do... it's a bit of a secret and i'm not sure if anyone has mentioned it but.... GET A REMAP.
  18. Thanks big G!! i really appreciate that but i agree, i wouldn't want to do it without the parts you mentioned if they really are essential to the safe running of the car's improved performance.
  19. Thanks tricky, you have pretty much answered my question with sound logical advice. i thought that may be the case. So it's possible to use chargers intended for other cars, but it's a ball ache And if i'd have to go as far as you say, then why not just do it all to get the best out of it.
  20. He didn't ask for advice, he was just sharing something that may be interesting.
  21. i'm sure many of you have heard how NASA spent hundreds of thousands on developing a pen that could be used in space due to its lack of gravity. The Russians just took pencils. Sometimes, a simpler option is just as, if not more effective. Maybe, just maybe, this small company might come up trumps. Nothing ventured nothing gained. If Nissan spent stupid money developing the air intake on the zed, i wish they had done the same with their rather restrictive exhaust system and that tossing dip stick too. But they didn't, which is why you can get something better/less restrictive aftermarket. Yes magic does cost money but perhaps it's not so out of reach if Nissan have done most of the work.
  22. Thanks for the replies. Of course, convenience and logic would point me straight down the route of vortech kit, something i could just bolt on and be done with, which is really appealing. i only ask out of curiosity though. I understand that a mini/jackson supercharger wouldn't give any serious gains but i'd be interested to see what would happen if i did manage to get one on with an FMIC and an uprev. I wonder if i could get away with not having to get larger fuel injectors, fuel pump etc. I'm not saying i want to do this on the cheap and risk damaging my zed, i'm interested what little can be done, properly, and get some half decent gains at the same time keeping as many stock components as possible.
