  1. That's partly true but, if you can't find something to live for, find something to die for.
  2. it is a bugger isn't it? should be a 30 minute job but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! i feel your pain .
  3. a cement truck has crashed into a prison van, the police are on the lookout for 12 hardened criminals. RIP Mr.Corbett
  4. isn't it a little pointless using bias media or "facts" as a basis? Surely everyone knows the Guardian is left wing and has it's own agenda? As does the Mail on the opposite side of the fence. The whole reason why there is this debate is because the information we are fed comes from the media. Who can really trust them? i think it's turned into a moot subject.
  5. god that looks tasty!!
  6. Crash for cash is old news, so spotting it is easy. Like Ebized has said, it's probably progressed into a more sophisticated set up due to it's easy to spot and well-known nature these days.
  7. Having a child is always difficult and no child is the same. I suppose i waited quite long time to have kids - until i was 35 - and while i had my younger years to bugger about and generally do what i want when i want, the prospect of having a child knowing you WON'T be able to do what you want when you want is worrying. But, i don't regret it for a second, it's one of the most beautiful things in the world. Yes, it's a compromise but it can be rewarding in a way that i can't put into words and in away i never thought i would appreciate but i do. If you don't have kids, then no matter. if you don't then you don't and who cares what anyone thinks. i don't think it's selfish, only a life choice. And, quite frankly, there are those who should never have kids.
  8. Cheers! now i know what it was like off the production line.
  9. After owning my 350 for just over 3 years and covering a grand total of 10k, i thought it was time to address the issue of the knocking and general crashing about over speed bumps and the like. So, without telling my wife about the full cost, i bought new banana arms, drop links front and rear, track rod ends, Tein lowering springs and pads all before friday last week. I asked a good friend of mine if i could borrow his workshop - which he kindly gave me access to - with a proper ramp. I got there @ 9am and started work. I managed to do most of it in 8 hours and packed up at 5. Came back the next day and spent a few hours finishing it off. The biggest problem i encountered was trying to get the bloody nuts and bolts to undo. Everything, and i do mean everything, needed to be heated up so it took quite a while. And of course after 80k, everything that i changed was well and truly knackered. One thing i noticed was that the previous owner had already spent money on new shocks which was a pleasant surprise. On close inspection they were in really good nick, so that was a bonus. But now it's all finished and i can happily say i have been blown away by the difference in the ride. It's like night and day! Feels far more planted and tight like a nuns knickers! Handling is just leagues better than it was. No squeaking or knocking, i'd almost say it's civilised. A big thanks to Mitz for his speedy delivery on the banana arms and also for his help in a quick phone call for some guidance. Many thanks for that! Now the 350 sits nicely on the drive and i think i have fallen in love with it all over again. Happy days.
  10. Same, I don't rate them. No discernable increase in performance in anyway. On one V6 I had it dropped performance noticeably. Pipercross are much better from my experience too. i absolutely agree. Perhaps it's different on the 350z, i don't know, but because of my previous experience with their products that fell short to impress, i won't be buying from them again. The throttle response from the pipercross kits i've bought have been better by a country mile. Including the roaring sound!
  11. ^ this is correct that's how you'll go faster if you were tracking a car and doing lap times. yes, it's correct. But tires do not add power. I want power, more power! tires wont give me that, and neither will a sticker on the back of my car. that's my point. i don't get more power in a straight line. Sorry you're all wrong. Mods lock this thread
  12. i didn't explain it well enough.
  13. NO, sorry, you're incorrect. tires still don't give a car more power, just delivers what you've got a little better to the road. POOOOWWWEERRRR!!!! i want more power!! Someone get me a round lolly the size of a frying pan and a kid's sailor outfit so i can have a proper tantrum on the way to tesco.
  14. No no no, people want their cars to go faster, not get a quicker lap time to work. New tyres do not make your car go faster or increase BHP. They make it stop faster.
  15. what really grates me is when you're coming off a slip road , get to motorway speed to filter in, and someone who could move over......won't. so, you either have to speed up and look like a tit by undertaking them on the slip road, or hit the anchors. i hit the anchors, and then im too close behind the pillock who wouldn't move over, so they hit their brakes. The level of inconsideration and utter stupidity is breathtaking. And all because i'm in a 350. it's never happened to me in any other car.

The 3S-GTE is a bit of an unsung hero. it's really tunable. On standard pistons, cons, rings, injectors you can push out 350 hp. But that is rinsing it a bit. You'd really need to change the fuel pump. After that you'd need to upgrade internals for reliable power gains. I know of a few who run 380 hp on standard parts but i'd say that really is pushing your luck, The big issue with these engines is the cooling. They get really hot. When i had mine i had a 3.5 inch thick FMIC with an oil cooler, HKS lower temp thermostat and cooler plugs. Mine was mapped on an MoTeC Mpro @ 315 hp. It never missed a beat, never over heated, never broke down. Fantastic car, especially since it was 20+ years old. Super cool thing i liked is, if you gave it the thrashing of its dear little life and got back home , provided it was dark enough, you could open the bonnet to see the housing and sometimes the snail on the turbo glowing orange!!!
  18. sorry, i was talking about the bottom ball joint.
  19. i only hope that the current technology for EVs and the like is better than it is for Wind turbines and Solar farms. Both are a false economies. Wind turbines - AKA - bird killers, do not get repaired due to the cost, which is apparently more than manufacturing one AND you still have to turn them on, i.e. you still need energy to get the buggers going. Solar panels use more energy in the process of manufacturing than they return in their 15 year lifetime. Dumb and Dumber.
  20. i'd change it all if you can afford it. New ball joints, bushes, drop links and track rod ends on both sides. It'll freshen up the steering and handling no end. You won't be disappointed.
  21. Spotted you today on Newmarket road @ 7.55 am. Looked like you had a go-pro on the wind-screen.
