  1. I always see other zeds who are NOT on this forum. So I never get spotted.
  2. that made me laugh " doddery old f*ckers " love that phrase. However, we'll all be doddery old f*ckers one day and maybe somebody will be writing a post about us.
  3. There's also the fact that driving conditions have changed so much over the years. I passed my test in 1969 when traffic was much lighter, there was no theory or written test and the test itself lasted 20 minutes. Pete That is a really, really good point. It is different. It's far faster and aggressive with a lot more to think about.
  4. I think it would be a nice idea if people of a certain age were obligated to take a driving test again, only to measure their abilities as an elderly person and if anything needs to be revised, it can be highlighted with advice from a professional. Whilst being old is not a disability, it can impede vision, reaction times and so on. it could only inform the driver of their weaknesses that could be improved. I don't think that could be a bad thing.
  5. At the time it was like slow motion dramatics. I suppose all that was missing was a beautiful women in the passenger seat, someone dangling off my bonnet holding to my window wipers while bombs were exploding all around us. Me, with a six pack covered in soot and oil with a fat cigar.
  6. I was once behind a women in a Toyota Hilux who hadn't strapped some sofas down in the back. lo and behold behind her doing 60 and off the 2 seater came!! Bounced over my car!!!!! I made this face then a poof I swerved to avoid it and thankfully missed it. She did pull over and so did I, to tell her what a massive penis she was.
  7. This^^ if you don't like it, then don't hit the like button. simple.
  8. I have a diesel burning daily and always wonder how diesel ends up all over the pump handles, its no different to dispensing petrol??? I've heard it's because diesel drivers are wrong'uns i've heard it's a conspiracy peddled by those pesky petrol drivers ( waves fist in irritation )
  9. spotted you (16:15) coming up to the round about just before the royal cambridge hotel. You turned left down the fen causeway.
  10. Did this thread start again? or am i going loco?
  11. It does state the proper bhp on the stats list. Although, someone has made a conscious effort to put 370 bhp in the title, what an utter tit. Still, confusing for a potential buyer who knows nothing about zeds.
  12. God, that fossil 505 was a car that once crashed into my car after some old crone didn't stop at a junction and ploughed into my near side twice ( don't ask). I'd say it's worth pushing off a cliff.
  13. I agree with Ekona. It'll be certain cars. Not any old Jap/Euro turbo tin. Punto turbo for example, pretty quick. Almost as quick as their failure with clutches. No thanks.
  14. You're right. EP82 glanzas, Pulsar GTi-Rs and GT-fours are starting to go up in value. A pulsar GTI-R was roughly 3.5k for a reasonable example a few years back but now they seem to be going for 5-6k!
  15. I think the 4G63 engine is stronger than most people think. Failure is due to poor maintenance and not enough cooling mods OR not supporting mods with other mods. My brother had an Evo Xii @ roughly 380hp for 5 years and it never had a serious failure i.e. bent con rods/ring land failure or HG problems. Had 1 turbo failure but I think that was it. 99% of the time it never missed a beat. Perhaps he was lucky?

    GT-Four

Looking good chief! The four is a great car. Mine always put a smile on my face.
  17. Agreed, Love the show and Bono is the world's biggest shite. Reference South Park if you're not sure.
  18. I'm sure you've heard of "education, education, education" So now get ready for "compromise, compromise, compromise" Congratulations BTW!
  19. Oh yeah, they're quick alright. I've got a 330d on a remap. 280 bhp with 550 pounds of torque. Yeah, nothing special too look at but, very comfortable, easy to drive and can munch up the miles on a the motorway easily with a proper thump of torque and power.
  20. Really??? I quite like it. You can burble along in 4th doing 30mph and put your foot down for 3.5 litres of torque to waft you along. Use the torque young Jedi!!
  21. I still have the album that track came off . John Hall the lead singer later became a congressman representing New York !!!! Pete I didn't know that. I like it
