  1. That sucks mate. Been there myself more times then I care to remember. Car can wait then. Good luck getting a new job and I really hope you get it all sorted quickly so you can enjoy some of that redundancy money.
  2. Congrats again on winning the best engine bay Ian. Always nice to receive some praise for all the hard work & even better with a trophy to put on the shelf.
  3. You could always do what I did to fund my s/c build and just start selling stuff you don't need or use anymore. Think I made around £1.5K+ on eBay this year in around 6 months odd just selling random stuff from my bedroom & garage. Not going to make you a millionaire but just might earn you enough cash for some new alloys, ...plus you can then sell on the old ones to recoup some more cash.
  4. Welcome aboard. Hard to say really, ...does high mileage bother you? did you want a DE, DE RevUp or HR variant? Import or UK? manual or automatic? roadster or coupe? FNSH or just a FSH?

    EPR nuts?

Lexx suggested this at 0858 this morning Nice one GM Lexx did mention Driftworks but I went that extra mile and found them so na na na na nah.
  6. Sorry Matt. Why not just write down your favourite three colours, put them all in a hat when you drop the car off at the wheel specialists for the refurb. Then the painter just pick's one piece of paper out of the hat and you get a surprise when you pick up the car.
  7. Welcome aboard and nice looking Opel, ...not to mention a great view too. Zeds for sale on here too if you're interested: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/51-zeds-for-sale/ Good luck with the Zed hunt.
  8. No probs. Also just grabbed this picture below from The Cougar Stores shop advertising the alloys I bought from them
  9. What a sh*tter. Sorry to hear that.

    EPR nuts?

These below any good? Link: http://www.driftworks.com/gt50-steel-wheel-nuts-with-key-5-colours-available.html Please check size/fitment before ordering. Hope that helps.
  11. Sorry to read that, ...wtf is wrong with some people. Is it deep or do you think some Megs Scratch X or similar will be able to polish it out?
  12. Some great pictures and the colour of your Zed is fantastic. Does the red really "pop" so much in person or have the pictures been tweaked slightly?
  13. Don't have a lot of pictures specifically of the wheels but will these below help? The one above was originally a bigger picture that I cropped so the qualities not great but you can see the colour well which is what I assume you're after. Thanks Sam and you're more than welcome a mention after answering so many of my little supercharger queries. Won't be long to the big reveal so to speak although the "ending" as such is no surprise with the thread title as it is.
  14. You dont get a spare wheel in a 370Z. Just a can of foam and a compressor. The back up plan is the AA Didn't know that. Well then that is an awesome mod. Should be like that from the factory then as that seems much more usable to me.
  15. Edited to reflect the real problem.
  16. Wound them out a bit with the ring spanner then used the tips of my fingers like mini mole grips to unwind them the rest of the way out. If you have fingers like sausages though you are screwed I'm afraid.
  17. Exactly why it will suit lots of Zeds these days You're right Dave because nobody ever "chavs" up a Jag do they, ....or do they?
  18. Genuinely interested and excited. Always wanted to get into it some how, but never knew how.So now I do, the project begins. - Get her back on the road - Get a 2nd car - Get new wheels - Get new suspension - lose all the weight -Roll on 2016 When you say "lose all the weight" do you mean you or the car?? If it's the latter then yes that should make a big difference, ...if it's the former then that's not going to help much I'm afraid.
  19. So do I. I just used this... Took a while, turning it out and I had to manipulate the bolt to get it out but worked a treat. I did it when I painted my plenum in situ and yes I like making things difficult for myself sometimes. Link: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/85949-thanks-lyndzzz-carling-plenum-painted/ Give it a go or just remove the strut, ...your choice.
  20. Welcome aboard Chris. With regards to mods and insurance: It's best imo to be transparent with the insurance company & inform them of changes as if they find out different & you've had an accident it may void your insurance meaning no payout from them. Every insurance company is different though so the best thing is to ring yours & see what they say ~ some will charge you a small amount like an extra £10-£15 a year for an aftermarket exhaust, some won't charge you anything extra especially as you won't see a difference performance wise (without a remap that is) but other companies will be harsher & may not even insure you if you start modding the car. There are also a good number of insurers (some of them on this forum) that specifically deal with modified cars so know the ins/outs of it and don't usually charge too much more than they would for the same car in standard guise. Good luck.
  21. Brilliant. Should have got a turbo washing machine though, ....comes with boost control as standard ^^.
  22. Sounds very interesting grundy ~ be interested to see how this pans out.
  23. I take it you've removed the spare wheel then? What's your plan for "if" you get a puncture then, especially if it's un-repairable with one of those "flat fix" cans? Just a thought. Great idea though and much more useful like that.
