  1. Problem for this kind of thing is technological obsolescence. I've got 3 generations of Philips hue lights each generation requires a different control method. How long does a fridge/cooker usually last v's how long is a communication technology supported for these days. You'll be looking at needing to replace all your household goods every 5 years or so to keep everything talking to each other. Look what happened to all the Nest customers in America, they brought into the smart home dream and automated their homes only for google to buy Nest and shut down the service with zero notice. All customers got was a single email.
  2. It's just a Lenovo tablet running a visualiser app isn't it? You could do with posting some photos of the finished effect, Its hard to see in the video
  3. Colour names mean nothing on their own especially if your buying from ebay. If you want a colour match you'd need to paint them. It should be simple enough to DIY though
  4. Have a search on here for posts that mention Jack at royalsteeringwheels.com. He's not a trader on here but plenty of us have used him and there are a few threads showing his work. The wheel in my build thread (link in my signature) is basically what you're thinking about. He's based in Aylesbury, so not that far from you.
  5. chrome silver (US) and blade silver (EU) are the same colour You can get your own particular colour code by entering the VIN number in here: http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/Nissan CS2000 pulled this together, its possible you could be universal silver or liquid aluminium
  6. For me what we should have is single transferable vote. This video does a good job of explaining it all. On a side note, I live in Sussex and haven't heard anyone coming out about the strikes, the fury is very much aimed at Southern rail and not the staff.
  7. Nice to see another blade zed on here. I spent 6 hours on mine yesterday. My elbow is killing me today!
  8. When you said drive thru I was picturing more guns'n'tings
  9. always best not to tell them about their own stupidity. They'll take the boxes next time!
  10. People usually keep money in the ashtray.
  11. You should have been their 218 BC, you couldn't move for them trying to get across the Alps.
  12. Maybe you've got an aftermarket set up rather than an OEM set up. We'd need to see more pictures to figure it out. Post a picture of the back box as I don't think many people would go after market and not change the back box. Is the front of the car to the left in that shot? it looks like the cats go direct into the flexi pipe, but i also think there might be a perspective issue. IF you've taken the shot from by the front wheel try taking one from by the back wheel so we can see both angles. FYI: its much easier to upload pictures onto Photobucket and then link to them on here rather than upload them direct to this site. You only get the space to upload a handful of shots here.
  13. Is your car lowered at all? if not thats far too low here a picture of mine taken from under the driver side door, but we seem to have different set ups,You flex joints to look to be 90 degrees different to mine!
  14. Mirrors edge an alternative viewpoint http://www.cracked.com/article_24333_wait-what-6-video-game-mistakes-that-need-second-look.html
  15. I've got a blackview dash cam with a power magic pro that stop the dash cam running if the battery volts get below a certain point. The dash cam is pretty much running constantly when parked, as its triggered by movement and I park on the street. I also only drive once or twice a week and sometimes don't even manage that. All in all that means most of the times when I start my car the battery only just has enough charge in it to start the car and a couple of times recently when I've not driven for more than a week, I've needed my battery pack to jump start the car. Is fully discharging the battery bad for it (i'd presumed so, fairly certain its not lithiu- ion ) How much driving does it take for the alternator to charge the battery back up to full capacity? Its a good excuse for driving from A-B via Z
  16. Mine is pretty bad, but its never failed a MOT.
  17. I've got 50 mm long 8mm winde bolts. I realised I couldn't get them in from the top so had planned to screw them in from the underside. I've created a template by fixing the mounts to the the spoiler and drawing round them on a bit of cardboard and then pocking wholes through where the bolts go. So it should just be a case of lining up the template with the middle of the boot.
  18. I've got one ready to go on next week (hopefully). Roughly how much did you pay for the paint job? I'm just going gloss black and presumed it would be somewhere under £200 but haven't got any quotes in yet. And how long did it to take to fit? I'm tempted to do it myself but if its a 10-15 minute job I might as well just pay someone as messing it up could be expensive!
  19. The CD player is paired to the ECU of the original car, its an anti theft device. You'll need to take it to Nissan (and i guess prove its not nicked) to get it unpaired. I bet a decent audio specialist will be able to find away round it though.
  20. Tiny back box Said the bishop to the choir boy
  21. Thats the wrong Fat max, you want the one from my build thread
  22. You could buy them a subscription to Waxybox. I think there's a forum discount http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68352-waxybox-my-guilty-pleasure/ However the website is down, so maybe they are no longer a going concern!
  23. No, the central pipe is still on my car. If I've still got in when I'm next in b'ham I'll give you a shout. Probably won't be for a few months, I'm only there if I'm visiting family (don't tend to do that very often!)
