Dan, I think they are assuming the other party might claim, as said, he apparently has nine months to decide to claim so the insurers are keeping this open, I guess the op has not protected ncb which is why it is taken back to 1 year pending a potential claim. This sucks but see it from the insurers point of view, they have apparently said they would refund premium if no claim is made (at least that's how I read it)

Horus, In the short term, having the correct amount of oil must be far more important than anything, but I agree with others, if you arn't sure of the history get a mini service asap, just bought my latest car with full history and service stamped 1,500 miles ago- first thing I did was oil and filter change. As long as you have reported it and got a crime ref no. and make a note of the time reported you cant be held responsible for anything that happens as a result, it only becomes a potential problem if someone puts it on an identical looking car. Agree with Ekona, reporting it to insurance is an unnecessary step - it would never be worth claiming.

I have just spent half of today searching for tyres, Black Circles, Camskill, MyTyres, ETS, AA, ASDA, the list goes on Not one of them could quote for a full set for the 370, some had fronts and some rears and prices varied wildly In the end i have ordered Vredstein Vortis from Openeo for £568.00 for the set as they too were unable to quote a full set of MPSS Hoping these are as good as reports and reviews say - i will have to wait until next week to find out Looks like i will be driving down to Ace Cafe with mixed fronts ( one barely legal ) and ditch finders on the rear :scare: I hope it doesn't rain too much or i risk being overtaken by everything else on the road

Hi, As Nic is going M1 I thought it might be worth a separate thread... Are people going via M40 getting together and convoying? I'm hoping to get new tyres fitted today otherwise it will have to be Saturday first thing but if poss I am happy to meet up. So if someone wants to suggest a time and location I will do my best to be there otherwise see you all @ Ace Cafe.
