  1. Don't you mean which Christmas are we gonna see it launch?
  2. Thanks Nick, Actually I am getting used to the sound track of the 370, but fear Invidia is still calling Cheers Rob Hi Rob, only done 250 miles in mine since Wednesday but am inclined to agree about exhaust, it's rapidly going further down my list of "improvements" as I'm getting used to the relative quietness !! Glad you are still enjoying it.
  3. We don't need to know why someone has been banned or suspended. Some of us are just nosey and don't like to think we are out of the loop. However, a valid point was raised about what if you are in the middle of a trade, therefore, there is a valid reason to post "person x has been banned or suspended for"y" weeks". I am fairly sure something along these lines was in fact posted when a trader was recently suspended for a while. Anything additional to this is unnecessary and irrelevant.
  4. so now Bob has put his 350 up for sale i guess you have already started suffering 350 mod withdrawal - something for you to practice your hole cutting skills on
  5. solution for you Chris, as you have made two spaces why not two different lifts - best of both worlds
  6. Chris, there is only one word for it ....insane  Not sure if that describes the sheer size of this "garage" which looks like it could house my home AND your cars or if it describes the amazing work rate - when you get going there appears nothing to stop you - great work
  7. I never thought I would see the day you and the ginger would part company!!!! Hope you don't sell before 10th Oct -unless you plan on turning up at Ace Cafe in "the project" - makes me wonder what the project will be! Or are you going to build a new z from all the bits you and Chris have accumulated?
  8. Rob, I agree about the exhaust noise , Even when the sales guy went to get fuel in it before test drive Karen said the exhaust was too quiet but decent rubber on each corner comes first exhaust will have to wait until next year. Wendy, I think the car is platinum grey, look it up yourself cos both Karen and I think it's a mile away from grey or silver!
  9. Jonny, having just caught up with your build thread my other half says I'm not aloud to talk to you !!! Too many ideas spring from your thread and I haven't taken delivery yet! Sometime soon I need to see yours in the flesh
  10. Chris, no intention of swopping rims, just thought I might have got away with swopping tyres, in truth not much of a saving anyway as I would still need new tyres in a month or so. But I will now take the spacers off before Weds Thanks
  11. Daft question and i'm feeling lazy so... Are the tyres the same size on stock 370 rims as the 350? Thinking I would prefer my existing tyres than the unknown c@%@p that some idiot has fitted to the 370 ( just trying to save a few quid short term ) Also will 350 spacers fit 370? Thinking of taking them off the 350.
  12. Just don't talk about money!!! Went to Castle Coombe on Saturday for a mini meet and came back with the whole set of fitted carpet to replace what's left of the original as well as details of an upholsterer in Stafford, and prices on a set of stock rims - the spending has already begun and neither car will be here until Wednesday. Also in the process of buying a flat to let, in the last month I have literally spent more than I earn in a year, flat deposit, legal fees and two cars !!
  13. Just covering all options on the tyres ha ha !!
  14. Well, after nearly three years the time has come to part ways with the 350Z, nice drive out today then off to the garage and agreed a px for a 09 plate 370Z I call it bronze log book calls it silver! Picking it up Wednesday. With lots of driving planned for next year I felt 103,000 miles was starting to push things! Wales - if it's on, in May Scotland and Lakez in June Ireland in August And as much of Europe as I can squeeze into 10 days in Sept So - things on my list of items "not" to change as clearly I won't be modding this one!!!! New exhaust New head unit Refurbished rims in black Gloss black roof, mirrors etc Tint rear screen and rear lights Spacers mpss tyres ( why would ANYONE put cheap c@#%p tyres on a 33,000 mile Z Can't think of anything else that I "wont" change but I'm sure Mitz at Cougar Store will have plenty of ideas on how to part me from money !!!! Pics to follow later this week
  15. In fairness, with a fatal accident I would expect those involved to be arrested pending an enquiry and its rather difficult to arrest deceased people. Regardless of who turns out to be at fault, three people are dead and they will have left families behind !
  16. I believe the pads are now made out of a harder compound so the pads tend to last longer but the discs wear faster. I've just had rear discs and pads on my work Volvo both o.e. and covered 85,000 miles how's that for gentle braking, Z front discs blue after one weekend in Wales - clearly not so gentle braking !!!
  17. The other half and I will be doing a Euro trip next Sept shortly after the kids are back in school. In my head I expect this to be 7 - 10 days and cost approx £2k all in, planning on no more than 4-5 hrs driving a day but probably more on the first or last day. I am expecting to cover up to 2,000 miles with a mix of sight seeing and fun driving. Not planning on pre booking hotels except the first night. Personally, I would have thought 15 is to many, 7-10 I would have thought would be better unless you plan on splitting into two groups for the driving. Good luck with your plans
  18. Scary to see any car go airborne Glad to see the driver got out!
  19. Kia are building a new showroom near us, I swear your garage is bigger ! But also taking longer to build so much like the cars in question I guessing yours will last longer !!
  20. Flex, brillo obviously has a different sense of humour, even my wife laughed on reading that !!!
  21. The car is vinyl wrapped and he had magnetic L plates, he couldn't figure why they wouldn't stay in place !! Regards getting him to clean it - I like my car too much to allow that !!!
  22. Been down this road twice before with my two older ones, and yes insurance as a learner is quite reasonable, all I would say is it is cheaper to buy them a car and insure it in their name than to risk adding them to your own insurance. Insurers assume you are lying when you put a young driver down as a name on your policy so they load it massively. Going old mini hunting this weekend, should be fun... Budget will be limited cos it can't be allowed to affect my budget for a 370 ( got to keep my priorities !!!!)
  23. Looks like you're gonna have to fork out for a mini then! Strange you should say that, for the last hour all he has done is show me pics of classic mini's and tell me how cheap they are to maintain and insure (£400 in his name as a 17 year old learner)
  24. You don't think so!!! Imagine how I felt!!! I told him when hell freezes over would be to soon, so now he's count down the days.
