  1. Just renewed my insurance through yourselves, significantly cheaper than AXA and only £20 more than the cheapest online quote. £345.00 fully comp and protected no claims for a 50 year old. Good efficient service, and friendly staff, I hope I never have to claim but if I do I hope this service continues.
  2. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/af202/davehollands/GIF%20Maker/1453665970060_zps1ilb4h6q.gif Hi, Just to confirm these will fit the 370 with factory fit rays?
  3. All the blood, sweat and tears will be worth it the first time you drive her rebuilt out of your garage. You will be like a little kid who's Xmas' have all come at once. Good luck with the 2016 season.
  4. The first part of the story is never good to hear, but you walked away relatively unscathed and it appears a happy ending may be in sight although I have to say I'm slightly surprised with front and rear damage plus airbags that they are considering a repair. Good luck and I hope the bruises etc heal fast.
  5. If there's nothing wrong with your o. e. Discs why not just keep them and fit decent pads?
  6. Nic, With everything you have done you must give it at least one track session ! Insure it and enjoy it, even if only once! If you get the bug then perhaps a track car because you will enjoy the track more if you are not worrying about binning £30k each time, so follow brillo's lead
  7. Your right, the silver is Jan 06 so would be lower band, blue one looks far nicer and has the up rev engine I believe.
  8. Whatever you do don't base your decision on a couple of hundred pounds difference on V.E.D. Both the cars AMT found will be higher tax but look cleaner, are lower mileage and NOT from J17 The difference in tax is approx £4 a week or less than 20 miles in a Z
  9. 55 plate will be cheaper tax Plenty of Z's with that sort of mileage so as long as it's been looked after and fed super unleaded fuel that shouldn't be a major issue The roof issue would concern me greatly though with J17's reputation for NOT fixing things even when they say they will. If you have read up on them then you will know customer service doesn't seem to be their strong point but that doesn't make their cars bad just have your eyes wide open and don't expect ANYTHING more than you see for your money.
  10. That's probably the best outcome you were ever going to get and a pretty fast resolution so hats off to Eddie Stobart and good hunting, of course you could always take this opportunity to get another Z (it had to be said as you are on this forum !!!)
  11. I need to be tight this year!!! My wife wants a new kitchen £15k, new bathroom £5-6k and the stairs upgrading £4k all this year !!! I'm currently wondering what I can get for a kidney! and more seriously looking into a remortgage ! This is why I "want" to have a go myself, the budget is not there for Z "essentials"
  12. So, do I need the drop links as well ? Or would most just replace the sway/ anti roll bars ? If they are needed why are they not included in the eibach kit ? Also a bit concerned about Aidrian's comments regarding taking the exhaust etc off, that doesn't sound like the sort of thing I want to do on axle stands in January !!! Perhaps I need to wait for some warmer weather or save up for Mitz to fit !
  13. Mitz, I fancy at least having a look at doing this myself so can you pm me some prices, supply only? Thanks
  14. Thanks Dan, Definitely worth paying for a name then!
  15. Hi, I want to stiffen up the front end of the 370 a bit, I will not be tracking the car but do like to push it a bit when conditions allow. I don't really want to go to the expense of coilovers at the moment so I was thinking of a stiffer sway bar and drop links as a starting point then perhaps coilovers towards the end of the year. Without spending many hundreds of pounds can anyone suggest a suitable brand or are they all pretty much the same and you just pay for the name? Also should I do front and rear at the same time? Finally, is this a job for a relative novice with limited tools and no garage, I. E. Trolley jack, axle stands and socket set on my driveway. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  16. Hope the build goes smoothly now you have got started. There is no way I would attempt this myself !
  17. Welcome to the forum Keep your eyes open as the spring arrives for meets.
  18. Pete, It could also be incriminating in the event of an accident as well !! I have just bought one for the 370 but will only provide recordings as and when necessary in the event of an incident to support any claim. I suspect an insurer would request recordings for any and all claims and the police may want to view footage if they pull you over or attend an incident.
  19. This reminds me, my wife had one of many phone calls from "BT" the other day trying to remote access our computer to resolve a problem, the last one insisted if she didn't allow access they were going to cut us off! This should be interesting as we have a sky broadband and calls account bundled with our TV package and have done so for several years ! Good luck fighting this Dan, but as previously mentioned watch your credit score, this could go down as a default even before you get it resolved.
  20. I liked the earlier suggestion of wacky races but then I'm that little bit older and remember watching it! Dastardly and Mutley, penelope pitstop, anthill mob, the slag brothers and their boulder mobile etc. Look it up plenty of images on line!
  21. How much damage must that have caused?? Surprised it was still driving!
  22. Welcome, Enjoy the Z and look at the Peak District weekend, not to far from you.
  23. I had coilovers and spacers on my 350 and set the coilovers to a fairly stiff setting it also lowered the car 15mm ish and I really don't think I can justify them at the moment so probably fit sway bars as a first step. Continue to enjoy the sunshine and don't worry about all us mere workers and the rain & wind
  24. Rob, great to see old and new side by side. Never really saw the sense of a rag top in the UK but clearly a good choice with your weather ! I have to agree, after just a short time of 370 ownership I wouldn't go back to the 350 as much as I loved it. For me though I want to lose some of the body roll before I worry about the exhaust noise.
