Can't argue with GM's logic especially as it's out of evo. For me there has always been a love of the zed since I saw my first 240z so I just needed the spare cash to own one as a weekender ( can't afford 40, 000 miles a year in the zed no matter how gently i drive it) once I get bored I will look at the jag xkr but at the rate I'm going that will be a retirement prezzie to myself.

If I can make it could your friendly tyre firm check my geometry on Sat and what sort of time you thinking?

Ian, surely "lakez" and "wales" will be highlighted, underlined and circled already as they are far more important dates to remember than Easter, Xmas etc!

Just booked for Wales so now thinking I probably "need" a new exhaust in time for May. Doesn't need to be anything too mad but a nice noise and can't break the bank - still recovering from clutch, wrap, coilovers etc. Any thoughts?

At the same time you contact finance co I would also talk to trading stds. Warranty isn't always everything. Sale of goods act says goods must be as described and fit for purpose, and a test of reasonableness can be applied I.e. you would resonably expect the engine to last longer than "x" miles. Sale of goods act covers used as well as new although the requirement of proof may differ but i am fairly sure during first six months supplier has to prove they are not at fault after six months you have to prove they are at fault. I recently got a garage to replace a clutch on an out of warranty used car. They may not be able to help but in my experience businesses behave differently once you mention sale of goods act and trading standards. Get some advice, it will cost you nothing and could save you a lot of money.

Ekona, I've read enough of your posts to believe you didn't mean your comment the way it read, but teenage hormones and fast cars are never going to be a good combination and I agree this is totally thoughtless on behalf of the drivers. Reminds me of an episode of one of those police camera shows I saw recently where a young driver was pulled for driving like a prat and his passengers weren't wearing belts, turned out they had just come from the funeral of some friends who had lost control and crashed into a tree. Some people will only learn the hard way and that is truly unfortunate. But no one deserves to die like that even if it's at their own hands.

Don't slate me for this... but many of you posted on the Paul Walker thread. That car was traveling at approx 100 mph in a built up area with the same consequence, yey no one said they got what they deserved. Absolutely agree these kids shouldn't have been racing, they have paid the ultimate price for their mistake, as previously said, we have all made mistakes but most of us are fortunate to be able to learn from them. I've seen up close the carnage of a car crossing the reservation and it's not pretty, please think about the families of these kids before saying they got what they deserved.

+1 regarding CS in LeIcester, he's managed to clean my bank account for the last two months but the zed is sooo much better for it told my wife eating is so over rated, especially this time of year.

Yu guys are astounding the effort you put in to help other zeds whose owners may not be so technically able (or have the space!) Now all we need is you to move the zed shed to the Midlands so you are nearer to me hope you have a cracking xmas.

I've only got the bank holidays off as I prefer to use my holiday in better weather. That said been home all am waiting to see if office actually have anything for me to do. Keep looking out window at my zed on the drive wishing a. I wasn't "working" and b. The weather was better Hope everyone has a cracking xmas and your zeds all get good prezzies.

Spent the day at CS having coilovers etc, as always it's a pleasure dealing with Mitz (just wish my bank account felt the same ) seriously though as always excellent service, car looks great (will post pics as soon as i can) Felt the difference on the drive home but will have to play with settings over next few weeks. didn't have time for geo so will get that sorted this w/end. car starting to look sorted now (imo) will start on interior in new year
