  1. There is a set of those Volks on ebay buddy, not sure if you knew or those are the exact ones you are looking at
  2. Which set of Volks & Dotz are you looking at?
  3. What sort of weight and size are you looking for, something in line with Rays? Ideally yes, but I'm open to most options right now. Will keep an eye out, took me a while to find something in the right sizes and weights without having to spend over a grand. You cant really beat Rays for the price, just a shame the rears arent a little wider.
  4. So now we have seen pre season testing and the first race is upon us, what are your predictions, mine are a bit out there but a difficult one to call imho: Hamilton Alonso Button
  5. Sure the bulb hasnt gone in the fog light (dumb i know but have to ask), if it illuminates and only works through the lighting circuit thats what it is most likey to be on a jdm, or possibly could have been front fogs which are now removed.
  6. Yesterday about 4 pm coming down from the Mountbatten Arms roundabout and headed down on to the dorset way past tower park, roof down and sounded nice, lady driver
  7. What sort of weight and size are you looking for, something in line with Rays?
  8. Why will he have to go lower because he is running 18's? Believe it's to do with the wheel arch gap. 19's would fill the gap better than 18's but to get the same look as the 19's you'd need to lower it more over the 18's. If that makes sense. @grundy ~ what tyre sizes are you planning on & makes? It makes no difference as you will want to keep the rolling radius the same by adjusting the tyre profile, 18, 19 or 20's you still end up with the same arch gap
  9. I had both auto and manual TT Supras, the difference is night and day, the slushmatic saps so much power, stick with a manual if you go that route! The only reason i can think some suggest to tune the na being a good option is the price a na can be bought for and plethora of 2nd hand parts to fi it, maybe its cheaper than buying an oem TT??
  10. The Garmin Virb is also a great camera, massive battery life compared to most others, with a bit of hunting they can be had for under £200. http://www.amazon.co...rds=garmin virb
  11. Depends what sizes he is running, 245 (if he has std) on a 10.5 is a ridiculous stretch!
  12. Might as well just get the real deal for what they will cost with tyres then buddy http://www.350z-uk.c...er-rare-wheels/
  13. brand whore or are varrsteon/cosmis/rota anygood you wont get s1 for under a grand but Tarmac will be able to help you out at end of march with the new varrseton es6 in 18" prices might just top £1k new but worth a look http://varrstoen.com...lver-pre-order/ brand whore or are varrsteon/cosmis/rota anygood you wont get s1 for under a grand but Tarmac will be able to help you out at end of march with the new varrseton es6 in 18" prices might just top £1k new but worth a look http://varrstoen.com...lver-pre-order/ Is that inc tyres?
  14. Thanks, you just cost me £1k Going to be ordering them in the next few weeks. good choice your going for 18s or 19's? width? I think they would look immense in 19 would down on coilovers 18's I'm afraid, no need to bankrupt my self even more just means you have to go lower i hope that's 10j too Why will he have to go lower because he is running 18's?
  15. The holy grail, properly fast, 350+ bhp to 400hp but reliable. I am not saying they are not out there but anything that nets that much hp in the cars your looking at means tuned and tuned to that extent doesnt often result in reliable, especially being used as a daily driver. Whatever you end up getting, do massive amounts of research to establish what mods will net that hp without issue, especially if your looking at 400+. Evo fq range are a good shout or how about rs4 something like that?
  16. Some great shouts on here: I have been looking at gtr's as an import recently, surprising what they can be bought for from jdm land especially with the exchange rate getting much better Supra = Safe money, great cars Rx7 = Best bang for buck out there imho, you can get a monster for under 10k and prices are starting to firm up and wouldnt take you long to get the hang of a rotary engine R32 = Yes please R33 = No thanks R34 = Yes please 370z = Probably the worst financially as they will just keep dropping in price RB26 is not as bombproof as people make out and to drop into anything would be a bad choice imho, 2jz is a much better engine but what would you drop it into that will justify the cost over what you already have?
  17. Surprised to hear they lacked grip, but maybe thats down to car set up or car, i struggled to get them to loose grip on my Rx7, road and track and for the money, i dont think they can be beat. Will be trying the Nankangs this year for sure
  18. What were your thoughts on the Federal and Nankangs track offerings when you had them, was it just track or road use as well, dry & wet conditions? What sort of mileage did you get out of a set?
  19. Doesnt hurt to explore options mate, there are plenty of good tyres out there, every tyre company has to start somewhere and not so long ago no one would have put lowly Federals on their car if they wanted any form of grip, but the rsr's are highly regarded, same goes for the Nankang's, another budget brand moving up it would seem, not read a bad report from anyone who has actually used them during some digging around yesterday. Obviously you get some usually moronic ditchfinder comments, on another well known forum i saw a lovely reply from Docwra to one such foolish comment.
  20. I was 90 or 92 db (not 100% which) static at Combe with a Hks dual, decided that gave me loads of room to get some hfc's, i will up date this year once i get checked. Bear in mind db has weird scaling, its something like every 3db is twice as loud.
  21. Keep them coming guys, very useful thread for people needing to know what works
  22. Been reading a lot of good things about these recently
  23. Most track days require you to have a roll cage fitted if your using slicks
