  1. Even a small amount of road salt can rapidly increase corrosion if left standing. The paint is quite resilient but over time it will deteriorate. By the way its Ewen Thanks Ewen, lol
  2. Cheers Alex, will give it a go see what happens, its worse than what i would normally expect or experienced, its the hub too which surprised me as the gold paint seemed good
  3. Hi all, i got a pair of Dba front discs mid/late summer and although i havent been doing much driving of late, the rust build up is incredible, beyond a scrub off on a drive if you know what i mean, looking like i will have to get them skimmed. Anyone else had this problem with dba?
  4. I hope the judge has a happy and "wealthy" retirement
  5. Maybe a view we have been waiting for, "a whole new thing" and thats after driving the 918 http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=Kb8tGX-HPQE&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DKb8tGX-HPQE%26feature%3Dyoutu.be
  6. So lets go way forward into this season and although unlikely, this Redbull turns out to be a pig, how long before Vettel jumps ship?
  7. No, dull and uninspiring and yes i have driven one quite extensively, only the V8 though. With that kind of budget in my pocket it wouldnt even feature! TVR Tamora would be a box i would like to tick one day and fits in the ops budget, not the best TVR by any stretch but i think they are achingly beautiful
  8. Function over form i guess as said above, as a dedicated track weapon it wouldnt look out of place, but on the roads it just looks a bit ott imho. Most GT kits for jdm cars are all square and angular, i presume it must be aerodynamically better.
  9. I know its personal preference but for the cost of fi ing the renesis you would be better off putting in a 13b as the renesis motor is seriously restricted due to its extra ports to meet emissions, but then you have all the problems of tying up the electronics to work as its all controlled through the ecu, speedo, air con etc etc There are a couple of companies mid (maybe finished) conversions though, if they get it dialled, would definitely have one
  10. Always worth checking out Hayward Rotary as he often sells them rebuilt with 3 years engine warranty for not a lot of money. Or buy one needing a rebuild then you will have peace of mind
  11. If its a McGuard wheel nut, take a photo, email it to them and they will be able to match and supply the key.
  12. Someone immediately suggests a second-hand Boxster ‘like mine’. Pistonheads to a T Guilty as charged to some of the comments
  13. It was between the Rx8 and 350Z for me, especially after a series of Rx7's. I think they are cracking cars at a very attractive price and if i wanted something i would probably enjoy more on the track i probably would have gone for one. Sadly i think they have crucified the rotaries reputation with the masses, had they released it with a rotary that lasted (100k + miles) it would have been a perfect headline for a new Rx7, but in reality, it was just another nail in the coffin
  14. Wheel size makes no difference to traction control, so long as your tyre profiles are in range. I noticed these as there was a guy inquiring about them in the wanted section, doing a little digging though and even the 18's are heavier than rays, just over 21lbs. http://www.350z-tech.com/wiki/index.php?title=Wheel_Specifications
  15. If thats what a decent set costs are the budget ones free??
  16. I thought it was just one guy sitting in front of a pc on the web working out which wheel design they would rip off next As a business model you cant fault Rota and enjoyed reading the sales pitch. There is a reason why Rota got a bad rep, no smoke without fire and all that, having said that, it seems they have improved massively. But, they are still a cheap alternative and regardless of the pitch above, they are heavy and the finish can suffer (speaking from experience) compared to the wheels they have copied. They make perfect sense if your drifting or on track, if you smash one its not that much to replace and they are readily available, would i put them on my pride and joy, no
  17. Love this. Don't know if it will look too high on a 350z. How much is the ep racing one? If your looking for downforce it will probably have to be as high as the roof line to have any real noticeable effects
  18. loads on this dudes Flickr stream http://www.flickr.co...114248/player/" Now i'm not normally a fan of the BGW, but that does look nice and the leg spacing is spot on Tony find out where to buy it from Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Grundy will give it a go, got plenty of time at the mo as currently laid up after spinal surgery Tony is the man!!! - http://www.meganraci...id=609&catid=57 So now all we got to do is see if they ship, and what discount we can get You could try this also, Amber performance UK based seller APR Performance Carbon Fibre 67" GTC-300 Rear Spoiler - Nissan 350Z Not in defence of the price but APR wings are wind tunnel designed
  19. I think all you need to know is in question 8's answer in what can we expect from bt sports coverage, "i hope it will be "SEXY", blah blah blah. Eye candy and nothing more and to be fair, much better eye candy than Susi Perry these days The commentary is back to Ryder and Huewen which is a great combo although its a shame Moody has gone, mind you i noticed he is doing commentary for x games, so doubt he is that fussed Hopefully we wont have to listed to the droning of Neil Hodgson too much but the rest of the line up looks good. Guess i am going to have to switch broadband to BT.
  20. Bloody hell, you had hair! I cant see any doughnuts either
  21. Just remembered the guy for conversions: http://www.dynotorque.co.uk/
  22. So what is a UK Zed designed to run as there is some conflicting info: 97 or 98+?
  23. For every bit of date supporting opinions you will find some data against, thats just the way of the web! Its like for example, dont buy fake bride seats cause their dangerous, I would bet there Is not one person in britain who has been hurt from a fake bride seat. Scare mongering at its best which is perpetuated on the web. Rotary engines is another, sure they have a lifespan but you would be shocked by some of the comments I used to get during my ownership from people with no experience of ownership, just what they had read on the internet! Its also worth mentioning that unless remapped jdm imports will be designed to run on 100 ron, mine is a jdm and done some 40k miles in the uk with no ill effect!
  24. Would like to get a decent wing for trackdays but prefer something like the CWest or Ings that mount more off the back of the car, you would probably notice more effect
