  1. Because no one generally likes to touch it as chrome doesnt take well to ally, which is why yours are peeling/flaking. The process is lengthy and not many people will guarantee it.
  2. Choose very carefully who you use to re chrome, not many uk firms will do it
  3. I wonder just how much business is lost in the name of profit margin? Sure i saw a fan motor rrp is 800 odd quid, for a 12v motor
  4. Well unless we sign up to (maybe already have) Bt Sport we will struggle to enjoy next year. No mention of who their commentary will be but gather they will be devoting more time to it and a f1 style kind of show with a dedicated presenter or two, features etc etc Would actually love to go back to the days of Randy Mamola in pitlane and still Toby & Jules, would really enjoy hearing more from Neil Spalding, i find what he has to say about the bikes and their workings fascinating. Would also like to have Keith Huewen around. But please no Parish and Cox, i watched the BBC coverage once this year as was bored and didnt want to wait for Eurosport, never again.
  5. Any word on the shipping cost for the items i enquired about?
  6. Maybe just some stickies at the top as an option, track day prep/advise?
  7. Yes have posted in there, but just keep seeing regular questions regarding track days so thought a section might go down well, perhaps with some stickies, track day prep seems to be asked numerous times
  8. It seems there are quite a few general track day threads, advise on car prep, where to go, experiences etc How about a dedicated section as a reference point?
  9. Dorna, blah blah blah, Marquez very very talent then lots of snipes and willy waving because you work in a bike shop! Have i missed anything other than some more snipes to try and justify your opinion?? Enjoy seeing Dorna ride next year, sorry i mean MM, the youngest ever MotoGP champion. P.s No your not my buddy, i thought i was going to be able to have some sensible discussion with a fellow mature enthusiast, i apologise for giving you some early credit Night night, i have my armchair to go to
  10. I have ridden bikes since i was 8, road bikes since 16, watched Moto Gp since the Doohan days, i wasnt aware we were waving willies to who has the most authority, which is neither of us do He is just awesome to watch and if Stoner had still been there would have wanted him to win and actually wanted Danni to win. Keep the blinkers on if you think Dorna won him the championship and subsequent history!
  11. So what about this year, tracks he has never ridden, Laguna Seca etc Dorna isnt riding the bike buddy and regardless of whether the rules were changed to accomodate marquez on a factory bike he is still beating a plethora of extremely talented and experienced riders I am not sure how you can try and dimenish his achievement. I am not a marquez fan boy, i was gutted when stoner went, but appreciate what the boy has done and he has made this season the most interesting for me since stoner won on the duke!
  12. I liked Marquez little shake of the head as if to say, t*at! At the end of qualfying during the podium photo shoot lorenzo was also very close to marquez saying something to him, would have loved to know what It was as it didnt look friendly! Marquez for me, 20.5 years old, no experience of a motogp bike and he has a points lead, however hard lorenzo has ridden this year I just think what marquez has achieved to this point is stunning, possibly some history in the making and we have the priveledge of seeing it.
  13. So it all comes down to the last race, first time since 06 when Hayden beat Rossi. Marquez on pole by a third of a second, quite a lot on a 90 second lap. Just needs a 4th, cant wait!
  14. What turbo were you running on your 7?
  15. I would send one to sgs engineering and see if they can supply a stronger one
  16. You have a number 1 driver and its very apparent, the words, vettel is our number 1 doesnt need to be said, its obvious and has been for years, just because it isnt said doesnt mean its not true. Anyway, you have an awesome car and awesome driver, proved to be a lethal combination, the team must be proud Next year must be an exciting prospect with new engines and a new young driver and for most of us unaffiliated parties we would hope to see something much more entertaining, i am sure you can understand that along with "questions" surrounding cars/drivers.
  17. Would you really say there is on an open forum if you knew otherwise I dont think you would say anything different to the above buddy and i mean absolutely no offence by this, if there "is" anything different about Vettels car, the staff arent going to know anyway and yes i do like a conspiracy theory
  18. Its the same this year, its all part of giving them just enough fuel to keep weight down, they are often on intercoms telling the driver to switch maps.
  19. Relevant given the chat on here http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=28794
  20. Yes its a strange one but I agree seems to have lost his mojo! Something is massively wrong with the sport at the moment when one driver and one car can be so dominant. No way is Vettel any quicker than Hamilton or Alonso as a driver. The races are just so boring at the moment! I cant wait for Webber to leave Red Bull now, I expect some tasty morsels once he leaves the team. agree, I dont blame Vettel one bit. He is clearly very talented as he is clearly faster than webber in the same car. Adrian Newy does a excellent job. RB are just leagues ahead at the momoent. We want to see motorsport development at its best. The other teams need to catch up. I do think however that although pirelli have done exactly what has been asked of them, this for me is the first place where changes need to be made. I'm tired of seeing drivers not being able to race!!! To hear the race engineer telling his driver to slow down and look after the tyres is not racing, which seems to becoming mome and more apparent. Even this weekend hamilton was told to slow to look after the tyres on the right hand side. So basically no overtaking on which is already a boring NCP carpark race track. I want to drivers going at it hell for leather! It is also a first for me where I am hearing that dedicated fans are no longer watching it on the TV. Its too boring. I hope next season is a big change. It needs it. +1, dont like the tyre situation, also dont get the necessity for using both compounds, make the compounds closer and last just about race distance and let the teams use whichever tyre they get their car to work with Not sure i concur webber has the same car, in theory, yes, but in reality highly unlikely or he just has incredibly incredibly bad luck. Also worth a mention however fit Webber is, he is years older than Vettel, you only have too look at the legend that is Rossi, just hasnt got the edge he once had and that is down to age

I cant wait for Webber to leave Red Bull now, I expect some tasty morsels once he leaves the team. Sadly i have to agree with all the above, there is also no denying that Vettel is quick, but consistently a second plus a lap than the other top drivers in recent weeks, not a chance thats all down to him alone Come on over to the MotoGp, last race this weekend, be sure of some fireworks and good racing
  22. Try Jack Smith Trimmers in Swansea, they have a very good reputation on the mx5 forums, incredibly cheap too
  23. Something i find very curious, last we week we saw Vettel having absolutely zero problems getting past other cars, it was almost a breeze, but race on race (very apparent this one) we see Hamilton, Alonso, Webber and countless top drivers struggling to get past the likes of Force India, Williams, Torro Rosso etc How??
