  1. Awesome thing, so almost did this on mk1, but at that price you might has well have an Rx7 at half the cost imho, would also be dubious of 500+ hp on 880cc injectors all round, most guys run 1680cc secondaries minimum to get those sort of numbers
  2. no advisories is always worth a post mate Its all so new to me, haha, usually would be skulking back home with pretty much a hard backed copy of failings and some advisories thrown in for good measure Like the time i melted the exhaust probe tester into submission trying to get one of the B*****T things threw emissions, £95 later for a new probe and with the aid of a 2" piece of broom handle and an increasingly larger drilled diameter hole in the air pump tube we grabbed a green reading, and that was std twin turbo, at least with a single conversion you could use the trickery of the Apexi ecu to get it through, just
  3. Went in, passed: no advisories, no beads of sweat, no other cost, no worrying for weeks before! Whilst that may not seem worthy of a post, try owning a variety of Rx7's for a decade and you will know exactly how i feel
  4. Save you the trouble, there is one hanging in my garage right now
  5. because rota are replica? if so so are Axe Not at all, who rattled your cage?
  6. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=30900
  7. I say JC because he is the one coping the flack and your valid point is probably another good reason not to burn him at the stake
  8. I prefer the Axe, i wont say why
  9. Thought it was this, as Will & Codders posted, when i first glanced: http://www.pistonhea...aign=newsletter Have to say, the Ducati engined one sounds like a good combination
  10. I would be more inclined to say logically, i cant believe JC had the time, luck and good fortune to find a car for sale that he wanted, that just "happened" to have a numberplate that could be remotely read into something offensive for the country he was visiting or alternatively he was lucky enough to spot a plate in the 100000's of cars for sale that again could be vaguely similar to something offensive. I dont think he is that lucky or that intelligent, look at the plate and come to the 82 falklands thing without the prompting, not a chance imho, I wouldnt have even known what year it took place.
  11. Is it an import? If it is its probably the converter chip to change to mph, get rid and put some uk clocks in, if its a uk its most likely the white controller unit that the heater controls plug into
  12. Why would the beeb want to sort it out, the ratings are huge? I struggle to comprehend the argument that top gear is not about cars any more, as above, there is always 5th gear if you want to watch a programme about cars, i dont watch 5th gear for similar reasons to Stevo, i dont moan 5th gear should be more entertaining (respectively) like TG, i just dont watch it and if 5th gear had tg's viewer ratings they would be made up, TG does entertainment, 5th gear does cars, its a win win isnt?
  13. So Jeremy Clarkson trolled the for sale adds just to find a number plate that if you thought about hard enough you could just about get to something about the Falklands, sort of, possible at best. Some people need to get out more.........
  14. yes but how many innocent civillians have we killed over the years in the middle east? What have we gained from it? The only reason we interfere over there is for financial gain anyway, it's no wonder they hate us. It's scary how rife properganda is in todays age and how people still lap it up. I still think ISIS need stopped but you have to consider why they exist in the first place. No armed forces have started out with the sole intention of killing innocent civilians, unlike the above atrocities. I agree, in some cases financial or economic gain is the hidden agenda, most likely (i.e Iraq), but, what possible financial gain do we have from invading Afghanistan? Same if we were to move into Syria. Isis doesnt exist because of the West, they are killing their own ffs! I'm not saying they exist soley because of hate for the west. My point is the west have helped create the cess pool over there in which these extremists grow. We overthrew the dictator, armed them to the eyeballs and pretty much left them to it. I am not sure i agree, extremists want a cause to fight against, otherwise being an extremist would be pretty dull, the west is just a good target to address their hatred because our ways/beliefs/lifestyle is so very different to their ways/beliefs/lifestyle and pretty much everything they despise! The problem is as far as i can tell, in all of these countries, it is a "minority of extremists" which terrorise they own and set out to over throw the peaceful population in the name of Islam, so, can we just sit back and watch this happen when it would seem the majority (of whatever country) want peace? In reality it was no different to Hitler and his Nazis wanting a Aryan race (master race) and all others were considered undesirable and any opposing this were immediately suppressed. Would anyone now say, should have left him and the Nazis to it, its not our problem? Regardless, drifting very off topic, lay the blame at any ones feet if you feel blame needs apportioning (not aimed at you particularly), there is absolutely no excuse for beheading an innocent man who has only gone to offer his aid to a troubled country! If you dont like us, cool no problem, pick up your weapons and fight, cowardly acts show them up for nothing more than the scum they are imho.
  15. Very sadening but inevitable. Some good suggestions as how to combat these militants, sadly we all know it wont happen as we cant lower ourselves to their level, but, i do think governments should be very clear that they will adopt a zero tolerance policy with any support shown on foreign soil and our own. If your found supporting in whatever western country, out, no questions, just out and instantly. If your carrying arms abroad, shot etc, if their captured during battle, no trial, prison (not here) for life.
  16. When I first got my zed it had mixed fronts, a ns2 and falken 452, I did a trackday with said mixed fronts, bar a tiny bit of understeer if really pushing on, they were more than adequate, so much so I shod my current 19's in them, dont believe all you read, but the ns2r's are completely different anyway
  17. I had Federal Rsr's on my last Rx7 running 500hp, i was very impressed and i never lacked traction on track. On one of the days i did it got greasy with a shower and even then they offered good grip and predicable when they did start to slide. Sorry but cant comment on overall wear rates as didnt do the miles to find out. I got a pair of Ns2 R's for my 350 track wheels and used them on the road for about 500 miles, also very impressive grip levels, yet to get to the track. Great price on both Federal and Nankangs
  18. I am not religious but my mother found great comfort from a specific religion when my father died many years ago, if that belief in the specific religion got her through her darkest days, thank god for it (pardon the pun). I see religion as pretty much the same as anything in life, drug use, homosexuality etc, if thats their shout fill your boots and go nuts, but start enforcing it on others and my patience wheres thin.
  19. I particularly like the ones who hate us so much they move or live here, pop off for a little extremism adventure and then come home to their nice warm comfy houses and all the other wonderful things a civilised western society brings, not least of all, freedom of speech which they also seem to enjoy so much

  21. Dont the Americans have this already, Allstar or something like that?
  22. I would imagine once you have bought a 1 or 2 jz engine, fitting kit, ecu and all the other associated costs it would be the same as fi'ing the v6. http://www.ebay.co.u...A-/230950395528
  23. Might measure G Force on cornering too. To be really smart though it would have to have a built in GPS, one that recognises speed limits amongst other things. Pete I would guess it has that too or as you say, how would it know if your were obeying the speed limit.
  24. Its obviously an indicator of nothing more than than acceleration and braking and in my book that has no bearing on whether someone is driving safely. Typical stereotypical mentality from the higher authorities that driving slowly and cautiously makes you a "safe" driver opposed to the whole if you speed you must be high risk and destined to burn in hell for all eternity. Hence the general hatred for speed cameras, they dont address bad driving, just speeding, i wonder if there is any research to show a correlation between how many people that have been caught speeding have also had accidents and those that have had accidents but havent been caught for speeding? Would make for much more interesting reading imho!
  25. So does the little black box tell insurance companies if they pull out of junction on someone, same changing lanes on a motorway, hog the middle lane, jump red lights, dont indicate etc I am guessing not and presume it literally monitors their acceleration and braking, so effectively they could still be very dangerous but "smooth" drivers so thats ok then
