  1. I must admit i do like the sound of a 5 cylinder, something slightly off beat about them
  2. No one abused you just said your wrong I'm never wrong so suggesting I am IS abuse There was no suggesting

  4. Just been trolling google images for exactly that, a tt rs that looks "special" and there isnt much at all. The gtr was reeling it in and passing it, it certainly wouldnt stay remotely close on a track and the one in the vid is tuned, put it up against the same in gtr and would be a different story imho Std 1/4 mile for tt rs is 12.6 (apparently), 1 sec slower than a Gtr
  5. Reality is, i guess this would be a lot of peoples answer, no need for justifying why, just no, especially at £25k plus!
  6. A buddy was talking about one of these the other day and was pretty surprised when he told me how quick they were, 0-60 etc,
  7. I thought that was spectacular personally, some of the things that kid does with that bike is breathtaking To change the subject slightly, did anyone catch the brief Fogarty chat on the grid, whilst i know he was an awesome talent i just hate his arrogance and particularly his poor excuse not to have gone to MotoGp
  8. I know It doesnt sport a Ferrari, Lamborghini or any other Italian exotica badge but its equally as good looking as any of them imho
  9. I watched some of the debate last week on tv, it certainly seemed the audience was more behind Salmond than Darling, whether thats relevant or not i have no idea. Is it still very much in the balance?
  10. Its a guesstimate based on the people I see that I know doing it who never donate. Do you donate regularly, should it take being nominated to do so, to any charity? Facebook is just an example, its everywhere. I have not said the donations are not a great thing, i am just bored to tears of seeing it, just donate and stop the attention seeking. Please dont preach about charities and the good they do, my family owes a lot to them, my father died when i was 3 of cancer, my uncle when i was 25, my cousin 4 years ago and my sister last year, my family inc me has given to cancel research and more recently macmillan for 40 years, my sister survived for 2.5 years because of the work they do, I dont need a prank/gimmick to donate.
  11. I am with Daveyboy on this, my whole news feed on fb is filled with people chucking water over themselves, all in the name of charity, yeah right, all in the name of being an attention seeker and feeling peer pressure because you have been nominated. Its great marketing and superb its earning money for charity and even awareness, i dont have to do this to donate money to charity though, which is where it will end for 99.9% of the people that do this. Suddenly the worlds got a conscience and smugness that they have joined in, just donate monthly to a charity if you feel so strongly!!!!! As I have already said, in one day, the charity has raised one sixth of what they would raise in an entire year. If it is attention seeking then it's clearly working for the right reasons and shows your 99.9% figure of people not donating is a little out I don't think the world has suddenly got a conscience, look at how popular race for life is, red nose day as well as the thousands of other events that happen day in day out to raise money. This is such a simple thing that pretty much everyone can contribute to it. I'm sure it will die down soon and your Facebook page will return to normality soon enough. I said 99.9% of the people who did the challenge wont donate until the next "challenge", you shouldnt need a challenge to donate, just donate regularly, its really easy
  12. And I just cant get my head around a pathetic 7%, if you went into Dragons Den and told them your net profit was 7% you would get laughed out of there.

  14. I have a new pet hate whilst driving: People who get in outside lanes of dual carriage ways at traffic lights or from roundabouts that then narrows to single lane, but then literally dawdle along and slot in behind the car they were alongside (at best) in the first place, or people who sit on the outside lanes of dual carriage ways well under the speed limit because at the next roundabout or the one after or even the one after that, they want to turn right!!!!
  15. I must be reading a different thread This discussion went on regularly on the Rx7 forums, probably does on every forum i guess, as smd will tell us (frequently), owners wear rose tinted glasses (whatever their chosen marque), no more so in what we perceive the "value" of our cars to be. The values are only going to drop more, on the most part, thats just the nature of owning a car, whatever it may be
  16. Anyone looking for a sports car will have zero interest in what price you pay for an economical run around and if your looking for a sports car you will expect the incurred costs and personally I dont think the Zed rates badly, mpg etc Its getting old Is the simple answer, all cars depreciate. Not all cars deprecate. take the Ferrari Dino as an example... And Delta Intergale, Porsche RS variants etc i meant on the whole as i am sure you know

  18. I guess its good for the charity, but i am am bored to tears of it being everywhere, even motoring forums , there is no escape it seems
  19. Not expecting a walk in the park, but most of the trades will be guys i already sub contract so confident with them, it will be fun, it will be stressful, it will be tiring but ultimately very rewarding
  20. Sadly nothing out of the ordinary, it needs to fit in with the existing houses so run of the mill, but do have license to get a bit creative on the inside to suit my lifestyle and living needs. I missed the housing boat a few years back after a nasty bike accident so this will get me back to where i need to be at my age. If i can keep the costs low using my contacts this will enable me to get into something else and may be the only time that i could justify spending that sort of money on a car.
  21. Its kind of my job anyway, i project manage home refurbs, extensions etc This would be the next progression, its a steep learning curve but one i would enjoy, will do a "build thread" as and when it gets under way
  22. Well after just about getting near to where i want the car to be, it may have to go I have a fantastic opportunity to build my own house, i have the land, planning permission but dont want to stretch myself to far on my monthly outgoings whilst i get it built. So the sensible option is to sell up, use/have the money in reserve to make sure my monthly outgoings are covered and once its built, get rid of the specialist self build mortgage, re mortgage and get another car. Also means i wont have to think were i can store the car as my current garage will go to make way for the new house, whilst building i probably wont get to use the car much anyway and it also cuts monthly outgoings. Worst case scenario, i get myself into another Zed once i re mortgage, better case scenario, i free up enough to get a GTR, best case scenario, i free up enough to get a Gallardo, which is something i always wanted. I have one last mortgage option to explore which means i can keep the Zed
  23. Been very lucky, caught the end of Spencers career, most of Doohans, Rossi and now watching history with this young fella. Personally think this is the best though as Marquez has humbled a lot of serious competition, Rossi, Lorenzo and even Pedrosa. My only complaint, just wish Stoner had hung around for another year, 5 of the best riders in the last decade would have been awesome.
  24. Certainly witnessing something special imho. The last few races have had some good action in and bar a serious accident it seems the title is decided but so long as there is some good racing, it wont get stale
  25. Didnt read the whole post, surely Nico admitting blame isnt meaning it was deliberate??
