You mean like simply replying with a yawn smiley when someone gave you some decent info you might have actually wanted to take on board, because you actually dont know best? Stones and glass houses spring to mind Personally i think uprev is expensive. I can buy an Apexi stand alone ecu for £595 for an Rx7, a decent first map session will cost £300 on the rollers, less if you want to hunt about and subsequent changes at an hourly rate, i have never been on a dyno for more than an hour for changes, exhaust, fuel pump, intercooler etc etc, usually @ £110 per hour. It was always advised if the question was asked, "i want to learn to map", from various members, learn on a na car, unless your a complete ham fisted fool, its very difficult to get it badly wrong. Turbo cars are very different, get it wrong and it will go wrong badly and quickly, its a fine art on turbo cars, using boost gain on controllers, fuel pressure, water/meth injection etc etc if you want to get the absolute most out of the car. A couple of times a tuner had said to me, i dont think we can get any more even by upping the boost, but its your call, if it goes pop you have been warned. I certainly dont think there is any black magic in tuning a 350, a base map will be uploaded and tweaked, hence they all make similar power with the same mods, but imho there definitely is with turbo cars and mappers

Thanks all At least i can update with the finishing touches as they go. Headlight tint and hr bonnet are next on the list, but should be able to show some interior and engine bay shots as soon as i get a chance to get the parts on.

I always remember Jamie Reknapp discussing Luiz and describing him as an assassin when it comes to his defensive duties, its just his style, he is not a bad defender, just not orthodox in a classic definition of a solid old school defender like Adams, Terry etc

The last thing I read about speed limits were an increase to 80!!! Now a talked about reduction!! Agree with everybody else. Really dont think speed is an issue, driving standards are the root of the problem. Motorway driving, overtaking and other far more practical things should be incorporated into the driving test, including some form of car control, not just how to stop in a straight line quickly! Even if there was a bolt on test you could take just for motorways, but only after you have been driving for 6 months? Also think there should be some form of re testing, maybe at retirement age and subsequent 5 yearly gaps, if you have been banned from driving and if you have caused a major accident. Or maybe if you reach 9 points you can opt for a retest and have your points cleared? All this driver awareness courses and avoiding points is just keeping idiots on the road imho!

Ronal Teddies, if you could get the widths I would run them

I must admit the recent whines from some of the drivers is getting beyond ridiculous, behaving like spoilt children, get on with racing!
-
It will probably settle a bit lower as it had been up on trolley jacks, but no lower, needs to be semi practical

Side repeaters will be replaced with 370z emblem repeaters and having some thoughts about doing some accents in the brown, door handles being one of them

Sorry for the delay So, i have the car back and some quick snaps for the time being, till i can find a better location I wanted something i could use on the road as well as the track without sacrificing the overall ride. Opted for some Nismo S Tune shocks i found going for a great price, only problem was the owner had cut down the original S tune springs to give him a better stance, not really a problem as after some research apparently the shocks work better with Eibachs. I could have gone coilovers but in reality in previous experience, once you set the ride height it never gets touched and you very rarely make too many dampening adjusts and i must admit, these seem very compliant Also added some Eibach camber control arms to bring the camber back into line. Also managed to find a HKS true dual exhaust and berks hfc's! Coupled the shock set up with a 2nd hand set of nearly new Eibach anti roll bars and what a difference, the front end now goes where you want it, without that washy feeling like the front end is scrubbing out. My first track day last year didnt leave me to confident in the stopping department so added a front set of Dba discs and Ferrodo DS2500 pads as they needed changing anyway plus some Hel braided lines, rears to follow, i havent the chance to use in anger yet but you seem to get a better feel now on the road. I was pretty happy with the look when i got it, just added some headlight eyebrows and as of today, Chargespeed rear. Whilst all apart i took the opportunity to get all the rear lights tinted with film and the fronts will follow Few items for the future will be, hr bonnet and get the wing mirror backing plate sprayed black and also some 370z side repeaters. Also added some window tints as soon as i got it. In the original photos the car also came with a nice set of 19" Volks, most saw what they turned out like in their new colour (purple) but wanted something new this year and must say, after quite some messing about, i am so chuffed with the colour scheme of my Weds Kranze Borphes. House of Kolor Cocoa Pearl centres with a ltd edition Nissan black lip, it has a very very slight gold pearl in it I hope you like and if you dont, thats actual good to, as dont want to appeal to the masses I am in the process of a bit of interior and under hood refresh so will update soon as most just needs putting in

Can any traders get anywhere near this Nissan price?
Jetpilot replied to Arran's topic in 350Z General
Just checked the quote I got, wasnt actually as far away from that as I thought, they are offereing you more discount than my friends bodyshop gets though! Cant ever see you getting it cheaper, snap it up -
Just over a year and unless my budget increases substantially there really isnt much else that floats my boat enough to want to sell up for!

Thats cheap, got a price about a month ago using a mates bodyshop discount for more than that -
Looking at the images on google, there seems to be a couple of types, but either one looks like it would be pretty loud without centre silencer. Pending on where you live, you should be able to find an exhaust place that can make something up easily enough I am just too slow today

There should be some numbers on the jasma stamp which will tell you the manufacturer, but If its got Apexi, i guess its made by them, decent jdm brand! Missed Lex's reply whilst typing

Yeah just spotted them Need to know what material they are. I think the key words are, like any "frp", they are fiber glass buddy Didn't know that meant fibre Was hoping they were metal..... You probably wont find any after market wings in metal buddy Any particular reason you wanted metal? Always thought these were - http://www.showoffim...productid=44002 Not really sure tbh Will certainly go a long way to sorting your issues and cheaper than messing around with discs, brackets etc
