  1. That is a very good read actually, one point stood out, we knew six months ago who we would be playing, yet we didnt know how to deal with them!
  2. I would also say its seems they are trying to play perfect football and almost trying to pass the ball into the net, i saw various moves down the wings, only to slow it up and invite the defenders on to them rather than fizzing one into the box, not that there every seemed to be many flying in for a cross! Everyone seems to want to play like Barca (over a year or so ago) at the moment, retain the ball, keep possession and then pounce. Fine if you have the talent of course. Good shout re the FA and their decisions, would like to see Harry get a chance, he bought the best out of @*!# teams/squads. Roy looked positively lost, as said elsewhere, no plan b.
  3. So without the help from other teams we are on our way home, lots of chat surrounding individuals, the team, manager etc but lets be fair even if we reach the knockout its not deserved etc so who is ultimately responsible! Lets keep it simple, if we want to discuss players, set up we can on the world cup chat!
  4. not sure are first game we played well but Italy played a bit better this game we played @*!# we were awake and on pace for what 5 minutes on total all game No prises for playing well, only winning, if we couldnt beat italy with that team and set up, something needed to change!
  5. If it came off Gerrards head its not offside. Sturridge made the goal with Johnson.
  6. I thought Cahill made some excellent defensive blocks. Enough about individuals, utter, utter dross! Cant beat a nation of 3.5 million. We need a manager who can think on his feet and play a team on their merits and how they set up and not be scared to make changes or leave under achievers on the bench!
  7. Obviously Roy thinks so, lost to Italy so the best idea is to field the same team, in the same poistions in the same structure! England managers are far to stubborn and narrow minded to field a squad based on the opposition squad and Its set up! Rooney, never scored a world cup goal, lets keep playing him, he Is bound to get one sometime! Outstanding!!!!
  8. 20b rotary, sounds like nothing else on earth
  9. Already happy with it as i drive an import! As mentioned early, i havent had a uk car for 10 or 12+ years or so and been driving around in the same car (on the most part) as uk owners but paid less and lost less, in most cases when i was buying from the jdm auctions at Southampton, selling for more than i paid, i think i will sacrifice that for a few random stickers that i never need look at or no one notices when they get in the car. If you can afford to loose the money and your budget is infinite i am genuinely pleased for you, i have mates who have done £100's of 1000's on cars, but they can afford it to be in whatever is en vogue, i cant, so if i was in a position to just afford a jdm import but not its uk equivalent (lets say there was a substantial saving), i would be insane not to enjoy it because of some stickers wouldnt I?
  10. And you say there is no such thing as badge snobery! I didnt know there was jdm sticker snobbery, lol
  11. I would definitely get the compression figures up on that advert as that is the first thing you will be asked, well maybe apart from, if you ever decide to break, i will have "x", lol. Good luck, lovely example, think you will need some patience though buddy
  12. Lovely if you are in that position, but what about if you didnt have the extra £5k and high £20's was a stretch, i bet my left nut you wouldnt say no and thats exactly why imports are/were popular, they bring cars some people couldnt afford into budget and eventually, prices between the 2 level off, hardly any difference between uk and jdm 350's these days but i bet there was when they first came over According to what you say re pistonheads ads there is no difference with GTR prices now (£35k uk, £33k import). It's nothing for a car that needs a service every six months, eats tyres and does 15mpg if you drive like a saint. If the uk car you mention needs tyres and the jap one doesn't they're virtually the same price. I agree if its £2 or £3k, but we are assuming on gtr prices out of jdm, i have asked a guy who imports on private request what they could be bought for, i will let you know. Assuming all things are equal condition wise, tyres etc etc and a saving of £5k or upwards and that puts it in someones price range, i stand by my point, there is no way someone wouldnt buy it because of jdm stickers I understand, but if you can't afford the extra £5K then you can't afford the car. This is why decent cars end up being run into the ground, because they get bought on the cheap and then maintained on peanuts, and then become teh sheds we all mock on eBay! But if its available for £5k cheaper, playing devils advocate, i can afford the car Doesnt mean i cant run it, just means i cant afford to get the extra on a loan or cant be bothered to save for longer (hypothetically) For a man who doesnt worry about the badge on the front of the car as long as its a good drive you sure have a hang about some jdm stickers no one will ever see from the outside

  14. Not seen this advertised on fduk or mrc buddy??
  15. Ah ok, so it doesnt throw a bulb out dash light, understood, they keep mentioning canbus but not info on why you may or may not need it
  16. Cheapest 09 R35 on pistonheads is £33k and ironically an import, starting price for a UK 09 seems to be £35k, so a possible £5k ish grand saving. If the exchange rate creeps up by another 10 yen to the £, thats quite a bit taking into account 500k yen buy price.
  17. I think so. Isn't it Japanese law? I remember watching a Top Gear once where Jezza was driving a new Evo in Japan that was limited to 112mph, but once the GPS detected it was at an officially recognised track it knocked off the limiter I think so. Isn't it Japanese law? I remember watching a Top Gear once where Jezza was driving a new Evo in Japan that was limited to 112mph, but once the GPS detected it was at an officially recognised track it knocked off the limiter That was the R35, as soon as it recognised it was at a track it was delimited, all jdm cars are ltd to 112mph - 180kmh, so a speedo chip converter basically delimits the car as its still thinks it doing kmh, so your good to 180
  18. Shipping isnt that bad, £800 ish to the docks and obviously lots of different tax If the cars are under 10 years old they will need a sva and model report, again no problem but added cost. There are quite a few places on line that outline the fees, obviously it wont happen till the margin between a uk car and import is enough of a saving, its not going to happen for a couple of grand. Not sure why imports are seen as a risk/hassle or a chance etc I have never had any problems with imports and if there is the odd different part its easily sourced through a dealer or swapped for a uk spec alternative. once your out of warranty, its no different to buying a 2nd hand uk car imho.
  19. £32k if I remember right, no idea on jdm trim options though and didnt they do a base model gt86 for £12.5k?
  20. Sorry for the delay, my sprayer has been off ill for a few weeks but we are full steam ahead and been promised the car back next weekend. Cant wait, will get some photos up straight away
  21. Thanks buddy, but if I swap em out will try to get leds, the bumper is off so figured this is the time to it
  22. So you dont think there is a market for a 35gtr at £20k or a 370z at £12k? I have no idea if thats factual, but have seen gtr's on jdm trade websites @ 20k, so can only imagine through the big auction houses that would be a realistic figure to expect them landed for I would also say there were plenty of imports that were available over here uk supplied, 350z, rx7, s bodies of various guises, is200, mx5's, supras etc etc I havent had a uk car for the last 12+ years and apart from going mad on big bhp rx7's not had a single issue that i wouldnt expect with uk cars.
  23. It was the indicators i was concerned with
  24. So with the exchange rate against the yen getting better and better (think the low was under 120 yen to the £), currently sitting at 173, whats peoples opinions on whether the import market will kick off again. I was buying from the docks some 10 years ago when it was high 170's up to all time high of well over 200. A possible list: 370z GT86 Mk3 Mx5's Late model Evos/Scoobs R35's :teeth: and sure a plethora of people carriers/4x4's that we might not have seen!
  25. I posted up the other week about some abuse. A bunch of yoofs looking hard, trying to, walked past as i pulled into a petrol station, "did you get that from the scrap yard" as he had walked past (note didnt stop ), i just laughed
