  1. And there in lies the problem, no one is rubbishing your choice, no one has said its sh*t or anything like that, just its not for them and highlighted reasons they wouldnt buy it "in their opinion", just seems you wont accept an alternate view, as per your debate last night with bodyboarder. Chris Evans enormous knowledge and running knowledge on cars, give me a break, i bet he wouldnt have half the knowledge as some on here about chassis dynamics and the inner workings of a combustion engine let alone do the builds some have completed. Its a good choice, just not for everyone, i am sure you will enjoy it.
  2. nothing interesting about it, this is the funny thing with this thread, everyone keeps putting up links to justify their opinion, does anyone really buy a car based on what journos say, i doubt it or most of us wouldnt be driving Nissans. The difference with the gtr is it was never going to be "better" with regards to quality, as per the Mustang, how can it for half/third of the price. But what the gtr does is beat "most" of the competition when it comes to outright speed/lap times, want it to do that or not, its a feather in its cap. The Stang will not beat any of its V8 rivals in speed or quality, but thats not what its about, so who cares Autos are the way of the world, not many people want manuals any more and if the auto box is gash, it will be a big let down for many.
  3. I would say in a perfect world its carrying to much weight for its output, but i dont think it handles badly due to weight which seems a common theme on here.
  4. I think this extract from the link sums it up quite well for the people who like and also the people who dont like, in essence some people can look past its failings for the relative bargain it is and some people cant no matter the cost. Faults? The gearbox is ready to collect its pension and on winter weather tyres, the car wandered noticeably under maximum braking. The back seats are tiny, and much of the car feels cheap. None of this matters as much as the car’s character. The V8-powered Mustang has a super-sized personality, gets you noticed wherever it goes and has to be one of the performance car bargains of the century. Ford may have cut corners, but it’s cut them in all the right places.
  5. So some dude who drives a diesel barge, compares the handling to a gt2 costing what £150K+ and also doesnt rate gtr's (guessing he hasnt driven any of them), hope he isnt a friend he sounds like a complete tool
  6. I would say, blue to yellow, white to white, the sensor is grounded anyway. However, that is an assumption.
  7. You say youve grounded the black but wired blue to black?
  8. Yes, which is exactly what we said over there about dyno discrepancies and no way a std de was producing 295hp, but it was defended Pleased you have actually got it mapped though buddy
  9. So 6hp more than your dyno run, hopefully the discussion on the other thread is some what validated for you now. Pleased the mapping has improved the feel etc
  10. Usually lights can only be bought as a unit so think you will be out of luck, also dont believe there is a repair facility. Have you tried zmanalex or emperor for spares, both traders on here.
  11. Pleased you enjoyed it, sounds like it was a pleasant surprise hope that wont be your last
  12. Shouldnt be too hard, usually get a few sets on here
  13. All depends on budget, but sounds like mine fit your criteria. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/101332-weds-kranze-borphes-19/ or http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/105837-19-ruff-racing-wheels-deep-dish-style/
  14. Most of the desmonds i see in 18's are weak offsets and narrow a good wheel which sneaks under the radar are mazdaspeed mso1's
  15. The stripped out track car with heavy wheels, quite the irony.
  16. ^^ I am afraid thats tosh buddy, saving weight from unsprung mass is the single best weight saving you can impliment, let alone the improvement in feel/handling.
  17. Welcome Replacing the head unit couldnt be easier imo, buy the relevant iso connector, steering whhel patch lead, its plug and play.
  18. Thanks mate, shame they dont make them adjustable in the height department
  19. Are these adjustable on height Lee, or are they literally, up or down?
  20. Celtic manor has some great facilities and courses but if your looking midlands The Belfry is awesome. We have used golfbreaks and yourgolftravel, both very good but you are in peak season so highest rates.
  21. Got a mint set of te37's in perfect 350 size (8.5 & 9.5), sadly not 10j +, why are you looking for so wide? Keep your eye on jdmdistro or japwestmods they have a large selection of decent 2nd hand wheels.
  22. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/79656-all-encompassing-wheel-size-offset-thread/
  23. I would imagine with someone like Cosmis you could just buy one wheel, so the dw set may work out cheaper that way, arent these also supposed to have the carbon insert or was that an option?
  24. Haha, yes, same outfit: http://www.topgear.com/car-news/modified/meet-200mph-nissan-qashqai
  25. Didnt a tuning outfit over here make a Qashqai? Doh, just read the link, its mentioned in there
