  2. If you need the speedo cluster etc I have jdm kmh one if you need to experiment buddy, free of charge.
  3. I think it was worse than they expected. I did see weather warnings, but forecast was for 40mph.
  4. Yeah it was pretty viscious down on the south coast, the harbour has a live weather station, it recorded gusts of 60 knots and 50 knot constant. I bet there is some destruction out and about.
  5. Could be tigerseal or sikaflex, if its either, you have your work cut out.
  6. The photo of the dude with his finger up on the fb page makes it look so appealing
  7. I would imagine for smoothness, but thats just a guess.
  8. Yes I was comparing it to other cars I've owned, But these are supposed to be one of the top sports cars, I just thought the throttle response would have been better, Also the time from cold start it takes to settle seems long, again I'm comparing it to my previous Merc V6 CLK As said above there is a throttle restriction in the first few gears, either get it mapped via uprev or fit a throttle controller to remove, you will then get a better response.
  9. I'd rather be in work and active than sat on the couch Who is making you sit on the couch Enjoy your day in the gym, rather than work
  10. I bet you wont moan about having Friday and Monday off work though
  11. Unless uprevved there are throttle restrictions in place in the first couple of gears and it probably takes a while to settle because its a big old v6 with dual mass flywheel, what are you comparing it to, i.e previous car? Swap out for a lightweight single mass flywheel and fit a throttle controller or get it uprevved.
  12. Yes buddy, always looking
  13. Random i know, but if any of the older chaps have their old bmx's languishing in sheds, or come across any, let me know, looking for a project
  14. ^^^ Very good advise and personally exactly what i would do, but, the op wants a new car, first owner, his spec, brand spanking new The RS though would have to be an absolute bag of shi*e though in comparison, to start with it looks nearly 56 million times better, even if it wasnt quite as good i know which way the pcp's money would go
  15. A stiffer spring on its own does nothing much more than make the ride harsh, as you suggest, they are mainly for asthetics. If you want to improve the handling you need a shock and spring combo that work together, you need increased dampening to compliment the stiffer spring, but you will notice a marked difference by changing the anti roll bars, speaking from experience of doing both.
  16. Better anti rollbars are more effective than stiffer springs.
  17. A couple of things for consideration. What are you hoping to gain and what do you use the car for. Na tuning has been frequently discussed on here, the gains are not that impressive for the outlay and you will sacrifice drive ability if you start dropping in lumpy cams etc Fakebentaylor is building a na screamer and would believe his research to be more comprehensive than most if you want to speak to someone well versed, but not forgetting his is a track weapon so on the road manners/driving is not at the top of his list. If your just looking to achieve a big dollop of useable power, forge and turbo/supercharge. I would just say, it all depends how you use and want you want from the car to guide your decision or if you just want to do it because you can, go for it, i believe horsham and abbey can meet your requirements, look forward to a build thread whichever route you choose.
  18. I will take the slam panel, pm me payment details
  19. Please do buddy, be nice to see what you do with the car and the wheels
  20. Sold to a happy new owner and nice guy, good to meet you Rob
  21. If I wanted to save up for a new type R I'd be waiting about 5 years. The reality is it makes it possible to buy a car I couldn't normally afford, I'm not ashamed to admit it Nothing wrong with that at all, most people live on credit these days
  22. Better than whats the old tool doing in that nice c*nt
