  1. 350rwhp, which is circa 400-420 at the fly, same as my vortech v3 without fuelling mods.
  2. Same can be said for the rb26, no engine is bulletproof, all depends on how its been cared for, a rotary is good for 70k+ if cared for, I know thats a ltd lifespan, but its a great motor and very clever design, just a shame economy is poor and they are stumped on emmisions at the moment.
  3. ^^^ Its not unheard of of course, but there are stories on here about people buying duffers, sorry to say it though, unless you have properly had the wool pulled over your eyes, i.e false rebuild invoices etc there is only one person to blame. I found them very progressive when they started to slide, maybe when the 2nd turbo kicked in it caught him out, as you say, they are quick cars. Valid point re electrics but they are over 20 years old, the 96 onwards came with better wiring and 16bit ecu, not 8.
  4. Didn't realise how low in price they are....you've now got me looking again... The problem is, finding one that hasnt been too badly messed with, look for as std as poss.
  5. Every thing comes to an end and whilst the 350 may be slower, it started to tick more boxes, to me its like a civilised Rx7. It is also worth mentioning, they are getting old, interiors will be probably be creaky and rattly, bushes worn etc So be prepared to fettle if you are looking for a rock solid car
  6. Supra auto amazing, slow is a word i would use, stick to manual, its a lovely box.
  7. Buy one with a very recent rebuild from one of the well regarded specialists, absolutely fine to tinker but any issues go straight to said specialist, they are all reasonably priced and it should last you many years, i think Hayward Rotary offers 3 year unlimited mileage warranties in any state of tune providing he has mapped it and thats for any use, track/drag etc Imho stay away from fduk forum, there is a core of members who unless you brown nose will be very condescending, stick to Mazdarotaryclub. Bit of picture whoring: My first and most enjoyable, stick to twin turbo with breathing mods, you will see well over 300hp
  8. Sorry, that was aimed at Bradders, i desperately wanted a Supra and had both na and rz twin, then had a drive in a Rx7, never wanted a Supra again
  9. If you have ever driven a Supra and Rx7, you would never want to own a Supra, trust me
  10. P.s Please dont buy a god awful Failside one, absolute abortion of a kit on a stunning car
  11. Moved from 10 years of Rx7 ownership to a zed after having 5 in various guises. You can get with seats or with rear bins (so they are called) They are not as bad as the internet has you believe, i only ever had one self destruct on me, my last one did 20k miles from a rebuild at 450hp-500hp from day one (apart from running in) and is still going to this day, not bad for a £3k rebuild. You have highlighted the biggest problem yourself, they do not make good dailies for short runs, they like to warmed up and driven and driven hard otherwise they coke and oil themselves up. However, they are something else and unique with the rotary engine, 50/50 weight distribution and 1300kg give or take, but sadly i wouldnt recommend one in your situation, unless at least once a week you take the long way home and take it to the reline here and there. I would also say, its an advantage if you live near one of the few specialists. You will love it, i can promise you that, just make sure you have the time for one, they need some dedication. £6-7k should buy you a good almost fresh rebuilt one, gtt's i have seen are closer to 10k

    Rear coilovers

Will do, wont be off till next week ish though.
  13. Offset would help the equation, but 20" is just not the way forward if you like your car to handle well, even 19's are a compromise. There is an old phrase on here, which I will add to: 18's for go, 19's for show and the new part, 20's just NO.

Will have a full set of Nismo S Tune shocks for sale very soon.
  15. Your English grammar is better than some English's grammar (including my own) on here so no need to apologise
  16. Think i would prefer to look at some alcantara/suede than two massive slabs of plastic when it comes to the dash.
  17. Beer tokens offered
  18. Simply screws to the original cage, but you will need the relevant iso connectors from somewhere like incartec.
  19. Anyone in London might be able to collect a package for me after 7, E4 postcode area? Pm me if you can
  20. Its pretty much all i have had (in various guises) in my last few cars. Imho they are great, i usually couple them to a decent amp/speakers and sound is good, operation is sometimes a little clonkly/slow when switching menus but i have never had one fail.
