  1. Cheers I'll bare that in mind. Thought a new flywheel would be needed. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  2. Pm's replied. Thanks. Thanks for the quick reply. Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
  3. Cheers Strudul really useful information and great links, that gives me a warm feeling that I'm not wasting my moneys. I've got no record of the plugs getting changed so I'll do them as well.
  4. Hi everyone, I have a 2005 JDM 350 which has done ~42k miles. It did ~20k in it's first year then a couple of thousand every year till I bought it. The previous owner doesn't seem to have done much maintenance beyond the basics. I replaced brake pads and discs when I first got the car due to warping. My question is: what should I be thinking of replacing - I'm currently thinking of drop links, drive shafts, and maybe clutch. (I have a slight judder when setting off in first gear when cold, a clicking when I change from forwards to backwards and a sort of popping when going over speed bumps). Cheers
  5. Successful afternoon striping all the useless old electronics out of the Zed. This little lot weighed about 6kg. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  6. I was looking for some of these clips too, cheers. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for the replies everyone, I wasn't expecting such a positive response. On balance I think I'll get some rays ☺, if I can find some... Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
  8. Hi everyone, the previous owner of my car put the alloys from a gt4 edition on it. I'm thinking of getting a set of rays alloys. My question is what would be better for using on the track, the gt4s or rays. I've heard that the rays are lighter and lightness on a track is good. And before anyone says anything I'm not looking to go for anything bigger and aftermarket, I want the car to look reasonably standard. Cheers
  9. All sorted now thanks to Alex and his knowledge of everything Z. Garage had completely the wrong part..
  10. OK, I've spoken to the garage. The ball joint in question is the one in this image: which I assume is the lower upright ball joint The new joint they have fits into the aluminium frame but the conical fitting is too big. I assume this is the "compatible seating cone and nut" ZMANALEX mentioned above. Does anyone on here supply just the cone and nut? Thanks
  11. OK, cheers, I'll have a word with the garage tonight and check they are using the right parts. Out of interest, when you say the compression rod ball joint is not replaceable, do you mean impossible to replace or just difficult? The garage has tried all sorts of things to fit this part, so maybe they're trying to do something they can't.
  12. I don't know exactly but I've been told it's the front lower ball joint, on the passenger side. Don't know if that helps.
  13. Hi all, my local (and reliable) garage have noticed that one of my ball joints is worn and are in the process of replacing it. Trouble is they're struggling to get the right part, they've tried two joints from two different suppliers and niether fits. Is there anything special about the 2005 fairlady import that would mean they are looking in the wrong places? The next step is probably to go to Nissan and spend a fortune on the whole unit, which I don't need and potentially still wont fit . Any help would be much appreciated Cheers
