Those prancing horses will have the shits when my Zed rocks up beside them and looks all mean and triad while they're all like designer shoes and latte art. Great pics, only further whetted my appetite

Tarmac Sportz new website (The non live edition)
Stutopia replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Really nice site, Congrats. Looks good for business but probably going to be bad for my wallet. -
French Grand Canyon added, great tip thanks, it's so close to my route it would be rude to miss. I'll see what I can do about a bull bar for the Zed to deal with bikers. I'm looking into Livorgno. Cheers G Man. Hill starts are easy with the Zed's rock solid handbrake George! Looking forward to photos.

End of an epic trip from John O'Groats to Beijing

Awesome trip and pics. -
Cheers Matt. Good to know it's affordable to stay in Monaco, without having to be one of those high-powered, shape shifting lizards who control world finance. I'll scope Col De Turini if I get 10m at work today. Factory tours seem to be a must, glad I posted, as it hadn't occurred to me. Dan, it looks like I'll have to go later in the the year due to work, it's super expensive for me to take time off as a contractor. It's going to be a fine line on timing between open passes and not too busy, but I'm hoping the driving gods will be smiling. Im not averse to getting up before the sun if it means a clearer route. As the inspiration behind this it's a honour to have you on the thread Good tip on the geo, ta.

Got to see my Mum and step Dad in France (point , she'll go bananas if I drive round Europe and don't drop in. It gives me an excuse to see Millau too. If I do fly into Geneva though, I'll probably cut it down to more like a week and sack off France and Florence, but then no Zed Edit: Why has my B become shades? Anyway, it's the second stop.

That's the kind of insider info I'm after. Thanks FB.

I've got a plan like this too, but involves a Mustang or a Challenger, not a future classic. Good luck with the hunt, I'd go 911 from your list.

I did a road trip round California and Nevada last Summer, with an awesome rag top Camaro for company. Not the most refined, but certainly the most fun car I'd ever driven, I think it was heavily responsible for my decision to buy a Zed. This year I can't rustle up enough support to do another road trip in the States (I was planning Houston to Key West but it'll probably have to wait) so I got all inspired by reading Dan's Euro Jaunt diary and in particular, the bits about mountains. I've got relatives in France, I want to see the Millau Bridge, I've always wanted to drive Monaco and I've never been to Italy or Switzerland either, let alone seen an alp. So I dreamed up this route, with some pretty heavy influence from here http://www.ultimated...roads/index.php I've managed to work in 7 of their top 10 in my route, plus the aforementioned Monaco (who doesn't want to drive Monaco???) and some bits of northern Italy (I've heard Florence is quite nice) and of course the famous Stelvio Pass. Below are the particularly fun parts of the drive. Map 1 Map 2 Map 3 Map 4 Map 5 Map 6 Map 7 Anyway, what I'm after is experience from anyone who know these parts of the world and can give me tips and advice on things to see and do along the way, maybe even places to stay. I got loads of great tips on my Scotland Road Trip thread, so I'm hoping for more of the same. I'm thinking just short of a couple of weeks should be enough, so there is some slack in this plan. PS - Don't tell my Zed but I'm also considering flying into Geneva and renting a vehicle there, if I can find something fun enough. Preferably German with a big unit. probably going to take her once I figure out the costs of flights and rental. Any and all comments appreciated. Ta.

Took me a bit longer than 10 minutes this aft, on account of me not removing the wiper first. I'm an idiot. Other than that didn't even break any trim clips, well pleased! The weight removal has been a real win on further aiding the boot pop too
-
Rear wiper delete has been getting some exposure so thought I'd give it a go. Thanks to Mack for the guide, made it look simple enough for me to do. Required clean pair of Captain Brave pants for yanking the boot trim off, but other than that, simples. Oh, take the actual wiper off first BTW... Shifted the boot weight too, boot pops higher than ever now. Well pleased with the results all round, rear end looks well http://www.350z-uk.c...removal-delete/ Just need a GM grommet now instead of the black.

Please report back it's easy! I'm tempted to try it.

What are the first mods to do to my new 350z?
Stutopia replied to RDON's topic in 350Z Modifications
BM, I'd not thought about this with all the chat I've read on coil overs and lowering springs, so I'm very intrigued.. Is it really that good a mod for a nearly stock car you'd get it done very early on the Zed list? -
You mean the whole assembly, or the wiper blade? If it's the wiper delete, try this: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71353-350z-wiper-removal-delete/ I've not done it so count vouch for it, but it looks comprehensive.

The Bounty Bar Kid's 2008 HR 350z - updated 14/05/14
Stutopia replied to The Bounty Bar Kid's topic in Member Build Projects
Very nice job. Looks I've got quite a few scratches on my side windows from the seals, from the work you have had done, do you think a tint might hide them a bit? I'm loathe to buy new side windows from Nissan. -
Done. GL, not an easy challenge, I used to watch loads of people doing the sca fell leg of the 3 peaks yacht race as a kid, always looked tough.
-
I just assume they'll repeatedly press the remote and look for a Nissan with flashing indicators. Should I not have written my PIN on the back either?
-
nice zed

Cool, how's that work?

Only seen it with Barclays, but worth an ask. I found it really tricky to find one of my photos I liked enough and would fit on somehow. The colour looked weird with the massive blue Barclays bit that you can't change, if they'd just let you make it plain white text, it'd be better. That's why I went black and white, otherwise all my photos looked weird!
-
Aren't you curious to ask where they think you should be parking? I'd NEED to know which space they consider is appropriate for parking, and their selection criteria.
-
Anyone got anything exotic in the boot interior light? A funky colour or something?
-
Surely we all have? Comparison sites get quotes from 100's of underwriters, surely some say no. My mate's an insurance broker, he said exactly the same as this. Also, when I worked in finance we kept records up to 7 years, nothing like 20.

Whatever you do, when you call sky, tell them virgin have offered you a ridiculous deal to stay and see if they'll do anything more for you. Even if they say no, nothing lost. I'm paying £80 a month for a couple of HD boxes and the full package. It's only really worth it for a decent sky premiere every now and then, the footie and sky Atlantic - but I'd never leave!
