  1. You sure that's not from gulling? You did say there was an "entertainment area" in that curious space between the front seats and the boot.
  2. Massive nuts, very impressive, I get the fear just looking at a bottle of poorboy's swirl remover.
  3. Anyone else noticed when you're in the music app and you select Genre you can't play everything in that genre anymore? It's not a bug, it just is no longer an option there. Any ideas? Other than make a playlist of each genre...
  4. Alex has recently diagnosed the exact same symptoms for me after a long time sat in heat in traffic, mine hasn't gone fully back to normal after cooling down like yours did. It's way better than it was at the time, but it still feels a bit freaky sometimes in the recent warm weather. I fully bricked it at the time and assumed it was the clutch saying Adieu. Thanks to Zman's service I now have the bits in my shed and she's due to go in for slave cylinder replacement next week. Given a bit of sunshie and traffic next Tuesday I'll happily report back to confirm if it has been remedied. Not that I have any reason to think it won't be, but you never know.
  5. Does no one else find it weird that an entire species hates one fruit? It's like saying all humans hate Cristiano Ronaldo, oh, having said that it now, it makes perfect sense...
  6. Sounds expensive, I'll take my chances with the vampires and werewolves for now. Ohhh... It's antibacterial too
  7. Possibly uglier, but if then all your speakers work and you retain the steering controls and add streaming over Bluetooth and a phone charging point and proper access to your contacts and maps that auto-volume your music when they speak, it might be worth considering it.
  8. I get that a/c works both ways, but I'm more of an open window kinda guy for freshness, I like to feel the wind on my skull and drink in the fragrance of Blackpool in the morning. It smells like... like... Victory. I just wondered if there was any secret A/C Club reason for always-on, but obviously the first rule of A/C Club is you don't talk about AC Club
  9. Any excuse to pic whore I recently had mine refurbed in what the fella described as "chrome effect". Whilst the name sounds rubbs, I'm well pleased with the new look. I was tempted by dark, but with GM the wheels vanish IMHO. Just need some new caps to finish it off. GL with choosing, I agonised for weeks and very nearly went for cobalt blue!
  10. Beat me to it. Not used mine yet so pease defer to experienced Zedders out there. How come everyone runs their A/C all the time, it's barely warm enough up here to switch it on. Is there another reason to run it?
  11. Alex just sent me one as part of my service pack, never seen it before. Looks like a small can of deodorant, seems you pull the pin then lob it in the footwell whilst the car is running with the AC on, then duck and cover. AC bugs get f***ed up. Sure if you PM him he can supply.
  12. Beware of the dog sign? Motion activated sprinkler near your parking spot? Once you've been soaked a few times you'll remember to switch it off before leaving the house.
  13. Good luck to Murray, true Motorsport legend. Every time I listen to that clown Crofty on the F1, speaking exclusively in soundbites and clichés, I remember how much character Murray brought to his commentary. GWS.
  14. Those prancing horses will have the shits when my Zed rocks up beside them and looks all mean and triad while they're all like designer shoes and latte art. Great pics, only further whetted my appetite
  15. Really nice site, Congrats. Looks good for business but probably going to be bad for my wallet.
  16. French Grand Canyon added, great tip thanks, it's so close to my route it would be rude to miss. I'll see what I can do about a bull bar for the Zed to deal with bikers. I'm looking into Livorgno. Cheers G Man. Hill starts are easy with the Zed's rock solid handbrake George! Looking forward to photos.
  17. Cheers Matt. Good to know it's affordable to stay in Monaco, without having to be one of those high-powered, shape shifting lizards who control world finance. I'll scope Col De Turini if I get 10m at work today. Factory tours seem to be a must, glad I posted, as it hadn't occurred to me. Dan, it looks like I'll have to go later in the the year due to work, it's super expensive for me to take time off as a contractor. It's going to be a fine line on timing between open passes and not too busy, but I'm hoping the driving gods will be smiling. Im not averse to getting up before the sun if it means a clearer route. As the inspiration behind this it's a honour to have you on the thread Good tip on the geo, ta.
  18. Got to see my Mum and step Dad in France (point , she'll go bananas if I drive round Europe and don't drop in. It gives me an excuse to see Millau too. If I do fly into Geneva though, I'll probably cut it down to more like a week and sack off France and Florence, but then no Zed Edit: Why has my B become shades? Anyway, it's the second stop.
  19. That's the kind of insider info I'm after. Thanks FB.
  20. I've got a plan like this too, but involves a Mustang or a Challenger, not a future classic. Good luck with the hunt, I'd go 911 from your list.
  21. I did a road trip round California and Nevada last Summer, with an awesome rag top Camaro for company. Not the most refined, but certainly the most fun car I'd ever driven, I think it was heavily responsible for my decision to buy a Zed. This year I can't rustle up enough support to do another road trip in the States (I was planning Houston to Key West but it'll probably have to wait) so I got all inspired by reading Dan's Euro Jaunt diary and in particular, the bits about mountains. I've got relatives in France, I want to see the Millau Bridge, I've always wanted to drive Monaco and I've never been to Italy or Switzerland either, let alone seen an alp. So I dreamed up this route, with some pretty heavy influence from here http://www.ultimated...roads/index.php I've managed to work in 7 of their top 10 in my route, plus the aforementioned Monaco (who doesn't want to drive Monaco???) and some bits of northern Italy (I've heard Florence is quite nice) and of course the famous Stelvio Pass. Below are the particularly fun parts of the drive. Map 1 Map 2 Map 3 Map 4 Map 5 Map 6 Map 7 Anyway, what I'm after is experience from anyone who know these parts of the world and can give me tips and advice on things to see and do along the way, maybe even places to stay. I got loads of great tips on my Scotland Road Trip thread, so I'm hoping for more of the same. I'm thinking just short of a couple of weeks should be enough, so there is some slack in this plan. PS - Don't tell my Zed but I'm also considering flying into Geneva and renting a vehicle there, if I can find something fun enough. Preferably German with a big unit. probably going to take her once I figure out the costs of flights and rental. Any and all comments appreciated. Ta.
  22. Took me a bit longer than 10 minutes this aft, on account of me not removing the wiper first. I'm an idiot. Other than that didn't even break any trim clips, well pleased! The weight removal has been a real win on further aiding the boot pop too
