  1. Bargains galore at richer sounds, always are. Isn't plasma what primitive man watch the first reality TV shows on? I'm a bit of a Samsung fan, never the best UI but great images, which is what it's all about.
  2. Congrats RT. I'm sure they'll sleep heavily and command only the smallest time from you and Mrs Biscuit. Before you know it they'll be carbon dipping anything they can reach.
  3. I do enjoy the, "you've never broken the law" line many people like to reflex vomit, particularly as we know all crimes are equally viewed and punished in exactly the same way. So stealing pick n mix can be viewed in exactly the same way exactly as doing 37 in a 30 or murdering 300 people by bombing a building. In some states Death Row is populated entirely by people who drop litter.
  4. Usually fillet, med/rare. If you're gonna burn it, have a burger instead, don't dishonour the cow I generally prefer rump to sirloin as a second choice, but I can be talked into a Porterhouse. No sauces or veg, just spud variant(s) of choice and some French mustard. Any fruity, new world red over £5.99 a bottle to wash it down. Best steaks ever are to be found in Montevideo, Uruguay. Don't tell the Argies, they think they've got it sown up. Recently got a deal on a full fillet for £65 from Sunny Scotland, absolute bargain and tasted fabulous. Was forced to eat steak for days...
  5. My iPad 3 just keeps on trucking. I want an air, cos it's cool n that, but I can't justify it - not even to myself, and I'm usually a pushover on this stuff. In fact, so good is my iPad it has prevented me from justifying either a MacBook Air or a Retina MBP. I feel like I want them a lot, but I can't figure out what I'd do with them that I can't do either on my iPad, or if necessary, wait until I get back home to my beautiful iMac. If I did get an MBP then I'd feel cramped editing movies or photos after my 27 inches on the desk. Grrrrr. Hang on, maybe my justification for an iPad Air is to stop me continually browsing the considerably more expensive MBP Retinas and pricey new MacPro. So I'm actually saving money by getting one, then there's the iPad 3 spare for the Zed ***reaches for wallet***
  6. Watchdog are interested in anything popular, it's not an indication of illegality, just that a decent size group of people "feeling" scammed. I still think Nicky could struggle to prove they have done anything illegal. Anywho, the simple rule is. If a company is too lazy to spell their name without resorting to substituting numbers for words or single letters for words, (see phones4u) they're probably too lazy to provide a decent service
  7. Sorry to read this bud, but glad you're injury free and your mate is still a mate. A confidence knock is something to learn from, I had my first shunt just after passing my test (massive cliche I know) and it helped me re-consider my approach to the roads, which was in big need of reconsideration at the time - not saying it's the same for you mind I guess even if you are extremely familiar with the teeth of the beast, it can still turn round and bite you whenever it wants. You live and learn.
  8. Did bits of it on a California/Nevada/Arizona road trip last year, they tried to give us a Mitsubishi Weinercar so we upgraded: Think it was about $2k for nearly three weeks. Worth every penny. Not the most refined car, but less common than Mustangs and make an awesome racket too. People do look at it, the only cars that really outshone ours were the 'vettes and the occasional Challenger. It's not a patch on a Zed, but it works over there and gas is practically free outside California
  9. I only got one box this month, WTF?
  10. Thread revival. I got this today on the motorway, stopped for a coffee and it went away. In summary, depress cruise button, "cruise" lights up, "set" blinks quickly until cruise button is pressed again (switched off), cruise control refuses to set speed, no error code shown in obd2. I'm aware there is a micro switch on the clutch, probably another on the brake? I imagine there is something somewhere for throttle too? Can anyone shed any light on inspecting cleaning these bits at all? Ta.
  11. Cheers Stu, yeah bit of a faff to wrap but could look good yeah cheers Plastidip trial run?
  12. I'm in and out of Fort Dunlop the next few weeks. It was supposed to be 4 straight weeks, but it's changed to once a week now with the client. Not spent time in Birmingham before, looking forward to it TBH, canals and curry and beautiful Asian babies. Might be my kind of town...
  13. In Brum tonight, the travel tavern was full so I'm here: http://www.castlebromwichhallhotel.co.uk Good value for what it is, but middle of nowhere. If you're bringing the wife and fancy something stately homeish but for under £80 you can't beat it. Also haunted apparently. I won't be able to get into town, but I am ghost hunting with Yvette Fielding later and there's Ethernet in the bog. Result!
  14. For 5k can't you just get a helicopter in each day? It's horseshit that you don't get a seat. I think on any train you should get 50% refund if you have to stand. It's bollocks.
  15. £5k? That's obscene, unless it's a carriage to yourself with a handpicked staff of Colombian mega babes and mild on tap and smoking permitted.
  16. Looks mean. Once the chrome is done, I think black wing mirrors would finish the job off nicely.
  17. My 5 weeks work in Brum has been rescinded, YAY! I'm still going to be down for a few nights though so research will continue...
  18. +1 on looking forward to it going back together and also seeing what extra goodies you put in there
  19. Ooh, is it indeed, my bad OP, apologies. I wonder what else is in my box of ripped out Bose... Edit: nothing even remotely amp shaped, maybe it's still hiding in the boot somewhere.
  20. Don't know the first thing about them TBH but price seems too good/scary to be true, however, I'm sure a more knowledgable member will be along shortly to confirm. I know price is no guarantee of quality, but it may be indicative, as they keep the wheels on, maybe splash out a few more quid. Example below of some, generally, well reviewed nuts, to give an idea on other products and their prices http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/Muteki_Super_Tuner_Closed_Wheel_Nuts/350z-MutekiSTClosed.aspx
  21. I might have one. CORRECTION: I have one. £10 plus postage?
  22. I replaced mine, they don't seem to care about cold, but I'm sure Swiss cold can be a bit more extreme than Lancashire. Got mine from SGS not too expensive. http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/car-boot-tailgate/nissan/350z
