  1. From my experience, if you acknowledge another Zed and they don't respond, it's safe to assume that they are not members of this forum!
  2. Hi Matt, You may wish to check out the recent posts in the Paint and Protection section relating to scratch repairs. They relate to Ricey in Chester, who seems to have a good network of trusted guys. I know it's at Chester, but if you can't locate anything in the Manchester area, it could be worth bearing in mind.

    Finally Got It

Well done! You won't regret owning a Zed!.
  4. The problem with spray greases is that they are temperature sensitive and don't lubricate too well at low temperatures. A silicone spray type lubricant is preferable as it is more fluid and flows more easily into the more intricate parts of the Zed roof mechanism. I have used this http://www.bilthamber.com/lubrication/ferrosol and whilst expensive, really does the job!
  5. +1 for the CTEK. I use mine all the time as my Zed is not my daily driver. The CTEK unit is a clever piece of kit with smart charge options to prolong battery condition and life.
  6. There have been several recent threads on this topic, so it could be worthwhile to use search. Presumably your washer system hasn't frozen up? If your headlight washers are working then it's unlikely to be the fuse, so it could be the screen wash pump that has failed or the non return valve is blocked. The non return valve is located just behind the brake servo compartment. Just pull the pipework down, unplug the valve and try the washers. Usually most Zed owners dispense with the valve as it frequently blocks. Just use a 5mm straight connector to replace it. If it's the pump, it's located on the underside of the screen wash bottle, the outer rear one of the 3 if you have the coupe. Replacement pumps are readily available from our trusted traders on here or from Europarts. Hope this helps.
  7. I did this on my Zed and it looks a lot better!
  8. There has been some recent posts on windscreen wash problems. My experience has been it's best to remove the non return valve and just use a straight connector in it's place. This certainly improved the amount of screenwash delivered onto the screen! Hope it's not the pump, although it is relatively easy to replace. Hope this helps.
  9. Hide and Seat, a trader on here, who has had some favourable reviews on the forum, may be able to assist. Drop him a PM.
  10. My Roadster is the same as yours, except it's got a stubby! Love driving with the hood down!
  11. I got a good discount from Demon Tweeks.
  12. Yes, I've found that it does sound better over time.
  13. Good comments, exactly what I have found when I replaced the OEM exhaust with a Milltek. It's been nearly 2 years since it was fitted and it still sounds great, especially if you have a roadster!!
  14. It is, indeed, the alarm sounder. Hopefully tightening up the bracket fixings will solve the problem
  15. Saw a smart 07 350z roadster on King William roundabout heading for the A34 yesterday. Decided not to wave or flash as I was walking!!!
  16. If you can't remove the spotting with cleaning solutions, it may be worth contacting Samco direct, as I am sure they offer a lifetime guarantee on their products. Remember noting that when I visited their stand at Japfest 2 earlier this year.

    manual roof

There are 2 manual release pull cords, one LHS and 1 on the RHS, in the boot. You will need to remove the boot floor and then pull the cords. Remove the harness connector on the RHS and then manually move the roof. If you have an owners manual, the procedure is in section 3.21. Hope this helps.

    Wheel Refurb

+1 for the Wheel Specialists. They refurbed my Zed's Rays earlier this year and did a great job! A little tip for you, if you wait till January next year, they may run a special deal. They did this January and I got a good priced deal. Hope this helps.
  19. You may wish to consider coolant change too. Use only genuine Nissan coolant, again from Clark or Horsham
  20. You may wish to consider Atkin Motor Engineers, who are based near Malton. They have had some very favourable posts on this forum. You can see more in the Traders Section.

    Zeditis

It's a well known fact, Zeditis is incurable!!!
  22. I can thoroughly recommend the NextBase 402G Professional dash cam. It has high definition camera and GPS. It retails for around the £99 mark. Great playback software, so you can replay your drive in the Zed and relive the journey!! The picture quality is fantastic and has "lock" facility, to save recent footage, if you are unfortunate enough to be involved in any incident. It can also be used as a still camera. It's small and discreet and tucks neatly behind the Zed's rear view mirror. A good product! It's also quite addictive to replayyour last drive, especially if its over empty B roads!! Had mine 2 months now, with no problems. It may not be suitable for long period, passive monitoring as it has a limited battery life. Hope this helps.
  23. When I got my Zed almost 2 years ago, it had the OEM Bridgestones on the front and new Avon ZZ3's on the rear. Usual problems with the electronics intervening under progressive driving! Changed the Bridgestones last year when they were at the legal limit, for Avons. Now have ZZ3's all round and it has markedly improved the handling with no electronic intervention at all! I have found the Avons to be a good tyre, but I believe that that ZZ3 has now been discontinued.
