  1. This is perfect Roadster weather! Out with the NW owners run to North Wales last Sunday. Perfect conditions for my Roadster, fine, sunny weather, great North Wales scenery and roads and listening to my own Zed and the others exhausts! Fantastic!
  2. Worth looking at Lockwood and Greenwood, Ashton under Lyne, Greater Manchester. They are ex Nissan dealers and have a good working knowledge of Zeds. They are recommended and used by a lot of North West Zed owners, me included. In fact my Zed is in there in 2 weeks! Friendly and enthusiastic guys and they give a discount for Zed owners club members. Hope this helps.
  3. Rather nice gunmetal 350Z on A532, London Road, near the Butley Ash pub around 18.15 hours yesterday. Didn't acknowledge you as I was in a Ford Focus!
  4. If you need to change your Roadster hood, it's better to opt for the mohair rather than vinyl, as the mohair is more flexible than vinyl, and won't be susceptible to sticking problems with low temperature operation.
  5. You may also wish to consider the Milltek system.

    Fans

If you do decide on the Mishimoto fans option, check out CLARK motorsport, a trader on this forum, as they have them in stock. PM Ewen at Clarks.
  7. Previous posts on similar topics have suggested that it is best to remove the non return valve and replace with a straight connector. This improves water flow/pressure to the wiper jets. I've also noticed that the passenger side wiper arm has 2 sets of nozzles, whilst the drivers side only has 1. If your wash pumps are still working, it may be worthwhile to flush out the screenwash bottle with a hose. Bit messy but should flush out any remaining screenwash and sludge. I understand that mixing some types of screenwash can result in gel deposits, so I now only use the same screenwash. Hope this helps.

    350z W brace.

Try a PM to Zmanalex, I'm sure he'll assist if he has any in stock.

    Replacement Hood

If you need to change your Roadster hood, it's better to opt for the mohair rather than vinyl, as the mohair is more flexible than vinyl, and won't be susceptible to sticking problems with low temperature operation. Regular cleaning and sealing of your new hood should avoid tree fallout issues. Hope this helps. Good luck with the new hood!
  10. I really like the indicators and adding the Z logo was a nice, unique, touch. Wouldn't mind some om my Zed!
  11. Yes, I was referring to the Wales run. We may also be considering a rerun of the route we did last year, which was:- M56 Junction 6. Meet at Romper Pub. Back roads to Mobberley, Toft, fast A road toward Holmes Chapel. Turn to Goostrey then B roads to Marton then Bosley. Meerbrook then a stop for brunch at the Roaches Tea Rooms, then cross country towards Buxton. B roads again to Onecote, Warslow then head back to and finish at Macclesfield Again, you would be more than welcome. Keep an eye on the North West meetings section, where Spatt our REO will post the meet details.
  12. Hi and welcome! Please join us on our next run out, which is posted in the Regional Meets, North West section. Spatt is our Regional Events Organiser.
  13. I had a similar problem on the fuel filler cap release switch. I hadn't had my Zed long and pressed the release button a little too hard and it unclipped and fell back inside the dash. It seems these switches are not that well clipped onto the dash and can easily be displaced. As said, it is possible to refix the switch by putting your hand up inside the dash from the drivers footwell. Patience and perseverance is needed! Hope you get it fixed.
  14. You may wish to invest in some Wheel Woolies, cleaning brushes. They are quite expensive, but are ideal for washing your alloys with no scratching.
  15. Are you running the same tyres all round? I had a similar problem when I first got my Zed. It had the original Bridgestones on the front and newish Avons on the rear. The ESP light would come on during brisk cornering. When the front Bridgestones were down to their legal limit, I changed them out to Avons to match the rears and no ESP problems. There have been several posts regarding mixed tyres/ESP issues on this forum previously.
  16. Hi and welcome to Zed ownership. Please keep an eye on the North West owners section and join us on our next meet/run out.
  17. Nice, silver Zed coupe on Hawthorn Lane Wilmslow today at 16.15 hrs. I was in my other car, rather than my Zed, so didn't acknowledge you.
  18. One aspect you may wish to consider is the low temperature operation of your Roadster roof. Your existing OEM roof (PVC/vinyl) can be quite stiff at lower temperatures, usually 5 deg C or lower, and may not fully operate until it is warmed up. I understand that Mohair tops are less susceptible to lower temperatures.
  19. Thanks for all your comments, that's what is great about Zed owners and this forum, helpful and knowledgeable!!
  20. One of my rear indicator bulbs has failed on my pre facelift 2006 Zed roadster. Because of this, I am considering upgrading, maybe all or the rear filament bulbs, to LED’s. However, I understand that upgrading to LED’s for the indicators may require the fitting of an additional resistor unit to eliminate rapid indicator flash (hyperflash). I also understand that CANBUS compatible LED’s may not actually need additional resistors to be fitted. So, my question is, has anyone on the forum done an LED upgrade on their pre facelift ZED, and are additional resistors required? Would appreciate any advice or comments please.
  21. Suggest you chock the wheels and leave the handbrake off. Stormforce covers have had favourable reviews on this forum.
  22. "We used to have 2 GTI-6's at the same time, one badged up and one debadged. The debadged one didnt even get looked at while the badged one constantly had a Saxo 2 ft away from its bumper, says it all really." I had a similar experience when I had a Sierra XR4i, (I know, it shows my age!) often from the boys in blue, as the Sierras were often involved in criminal activities, here in the North West at the time. Matt blacked out the rear badging, no further problems!! Now, in my Zed roadster, I just very pointedly turn the dashcam round to face the rear and the tailgaters disappear

    Summer Time

It's looking like decent weather for the next couple of days, so let's get out there and enjoy our roadsters! Roll on the summer.
  24. Welcome, nice looking Zed and always good to see another roadster on the forum.
