  1. The OEM carpet in the drivers footwell is secured onto a plastic peg which is attached to the front of the drivers seat rail.
  2. Shell do advertise that V Power has additional additives to enhance combustion and engine life, but I can't tell any difference between any of the premium fuels.
  3. Cooling fan and aircon fan failure can be a problem on Zeds. There has been a lot of posts regarding this item on the forum, so it's worth using search function to get the background. Generally, removing the fan/motor assemblies and either cleaning or replacing motor brushes does the trick. If it is component failure then contact Zmanalex, Clark Motorsport or other traders on the forum for new or used replacements. You may wish to consider upgrading the fans to Mishimoto replacements, which have had some favourable reviews on here. These are available from Clarks or other traders.
  4. +1 for the Poorboys. Following recommendations on this forum, I now use the Natural Look Dressing on my Zed interior. It is not too shiny, very durable, a good product!
  5. I have used the Poorboys White Diamond glaze, following recommendations on this forum, on my gunmetal Zed, with good results. It is a durable, easy to apply product, which certainly enhances the metallic fleck in the paintwork. You may wish to PM illogical for his comments, as he is extremely knowledgeable about all things detailing!!
  6. At 50,000 miles it would be prudent to change out the drive belts, whilst the Zed is in for service. I can recommend the Gates belts as replacements. Similarly, you may wish to consider a coolant change.
  7. Spotted a nice red roadster, (but with the roof up!) heading towards the M56 around 16.00 hrs today.
  8. You are welcome to join us on any of our meets. We are a small but dedicated band!
  9. For.cleaning/colour restoration of your roadster roof, you may wish to consider Renovo products, Whilst I use the Autoglym product on my roadster roof, it is excellent and cleaning and waterproofing, but not colour restoration. My neighbour has just used Renovo on a fairly old BMW Z3 roof and it has come up like new. Hope this helps.
  10. Suggest you PM Zmanalex who may be able to help, with a replacement.
  11. If you want to revert to an OEM steering wheel, then PM ZMANALEX and see what he has available. You could then get it refurbished by Royal Steering Wheels, there have been a recent couple of good references for them on this forum.
  12. I understand that the Nissan OEM hood is canvas, and therefore susceptible to the well known problem of the hood reluctant to retract in lower temperatures, i.e 5 deg C or lower. Mohair hoods seem to be more flexible and therefore more tolerant of low temperature operation.
  13. Spotted a siver 350z coupe, parked on the outskirts of Sedbergh yesterday, whilst trying to keep up with the rest of the guys on the NWOC ride out!

    New Steering Wheel

Looks great! May be tempted to update mine.
  15. Hi Tony, Sorry to hear about your problems with the Zed. If you are unable to locate a knowledgeable guy who knows Zeds, then L&G's workshop is in east Manchester so not too far from you. I have used them previously and can recommend them! Hope this helps.
  16. +1 for the oil, filter and Opie! Just did my P1 service and used the Fuchs oil, K & N oil and air filters for the first time. It may just be me, but the Zed seems a bit more responsive! Got the oil from Opie, and as always, got great service. Do as I did and drop a PM to Opie, and get their advice on the best range of oils for your Zed to suit your budget.
  17. I was in the gunmetal roadster, at the back, as usual!!
  18. All the guides are in the FAQ section of the 350Z forum
  19. For wheel arches, wire brush the rusted areas back to bare metal and then brush apply this:- http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-protection-and-rust-treatments/hydrate-80 It's a top range product. I apply it twice a year to the rear arch "lips" on my Zed as a preventative measure.
  20. I understand that for Gun Metal colour: - WV2 is Gun Metal Grey UK Siverstone USA There is a good Nissan 350Z paint chart, on Google, which shows colours, UK and Us paint codes togethr with a bar chart showing years of manufacture.
  21. Hi Matt, You may wish to PM Ewen at Clark Motorsport, they stock Powerflex engine mounts for the 350Z, I'm sure he will offer advice on both engine and gearbox mounts. Earlier posts on the forum, have indicated that changing gearbox mountings can improve shift characteristics and reduce noise/vibration. I understand that the generic term, "polybushes" refers to steering/suspension bushes. Ridz
  22. Sorry, I don't know the sizes, but when I got my Zed, several of the under tray clips and bolts were missing. I got replacement items from ZmanAlex. Wortha PM to Alex and/or Clark Motorsport.
  23. If I remember correctly there was a fairly recent post from someone who had changed out his cloth for leather seats without problem. As Jetpilot says it would be unusual if different wiring looms were needed during vehicle manufacture. Worth checking under the seats to see if wiring connectors are there.
  24. +1 for ilogikal1's comments. I have had good results with Gtechiq C4 on the Zed front lip, which has lasted 18 months and only now is showing signs of requiring reapplication.
