  1. If you know a local garage that you trust, it would be useful to take in a copy of the Zed service schedule for that particular service, so you know it has been serviced in accordance with Nissan requirements. A good local independent garage or Zed specialist who will look after your Zed is the best option.
  2. if you need a replacement hood only, you could try sending a PM to Nictry on this forum. He found a great supplier in Swansea who did a replacement mohair roof at a very competitive cost. Search > replacement roof in forums. There were also some favourable posts for car hoods4u. Hope this helps.
  3. HEL braided hoses and Ferodo 2500 pads have transformed the braking on my Zed. Clark Motorsport or Cougar Store can assist with the necessary parts.
  4. Looks great! Please keep us posted on how the F1's perform.
  5. Cooling fan failure seems to be a common failure with Zeds. I was just wondering if there is an optimum time or mileage when these could be replaced with the Mishimoto units. It would be interesting if you could advise when you had to change or repair your fan units. I would have guessed that they would be good for around the 100,000 miles mark.

+1 for Autoglym. If it needs any restoration then Renovo is excellent. +1. I have used the Autoglym with excellent results on my roadster. If you require colour restoration, then the Renovo product may be better,
  7. +1 for the Cosworth. Stocked by Clark Motorsport.

In view of Zmanalex's recent post, I would avoid using Paisley Freight!!!!
  9. Are winter tyres not a requirement for German residents?
  10. You may wish to consider a coolant change too.
  11. I replaced my front washer non return valve about a year ago. It was 4mm connection, which i believe is the internal diameter of the plastic tubing connecting to it. You can also get 4mm straight plastic connectors to replace the valve if you wish. Amazon or ebay are good sources for these.

    Stubby

I had the OEM aerial fitted to mine and changed it to a stubby I purchased of Amazon. It was ok, but suffered from signal drop out in rural areas. Replaced it with a RDX stubby from Redline Styling, a trader on this forum, and had no reception problems since! It was reasonably priced at around £14, if I remember correctly. Contact Steve at Redline to check stock.
  13. Once you've cleaned the door cards, you may wish to consider applying Poorboys Natural Look interior dressing. I've started using it on my Zed interior, following several favourable posts on here. I must admit, it seems to suit the Zed interior, not too shiny and quite durable.
  14. I was there too. Silver roadster, 2nd car in, on the Zed line up. Loved the Zed drifter!
  15. I bet the Canadian moose population are behind this!!!!!!
  16. As Lee says, a conversation with a passenger, whilst doing 70 mph on a motorway, with the hood up is quite normal for Zed roadsters. The hood is quite stiff and generates very little wind noise! It could be that the side window isn't closing fully, so worth checking this out if you really like the car. I've had my Zed roadster nearly 2 years now and still love every minute driving it! Hope you get the Zed!
  17. There have been some recent posts on this topic. The general consensus is a multi layer cover is required with a soft, fleece, type inner lining to protect the Zed's paintwork. Stormforce or Halfords own brand are usually recommended.

    Bugger

Fingers crossed, she'll admit damaging your Zed!
  19. I can recommend The Wheel Specialists, who are Manchester based. They did a great job on refurbing my Zed's alloys in January this year, and they still look like new. Great, same day service, with knowledgeable staff. Range of finishes too! Probably £80 per wheel, but ask for a Zed club discount.
  20. Nice yellow 370Z coupe heading towards Knutsford this morning. Exchanged waves.
  21. I had this experience too, with a stubby I got via Amazon! Following some good posts on this forum, I replaced it with a RDX stubby from Redline Styling, a trader on this forum. It's a quality Honda product I believe, and since fitting it have had no reception problems. PM Steve at Redline and see if he has any left, it was only £15 IIRC.
  22. Hi Martin, It would be useful to other members in South Yorks and other adjacent areas, if you give the company name and location. It's always good to know of trustworthy businesses to look after our Zeds!!
  23. The OEM aerial works fine, although most Zed owners opt for a stubby aerial as it looks less ungainly that the OEM one. It could be that you have an aerial ground fault. So best to check the aerial connections first.
  24. Agree, Stu, it felt a little unreal, especially in Warrington! A Jag 220, but, boy, what a sound as they blipped that throttle!!!!
