  1. Sorry, H, too busy enjoying the drive. Next time I'm out there I'll post some. As I say, even though it's restricted to 50mph with average speed cameras, it's still a great drive for Zed owners!!!
  2. That's what Zed's are for! To forget the working day stresses!
  3. Would this be the first time in history that a Zed has been driven at 30 mph on a journey?
  4. I needed to take a some holidays owing before the year end. The weather forecast looked promising, so I booked today off. Glad I did! Clear blue skies, rather cold, but a good day to enjoy my beloved Zed roadster. Had to wait for the curse of the roadster to sort itself out, that is to let the sun warm up the hood so it could fully retract, but it was worth it! Hood down, steady driving till everything warms up, then along my favourite, back roads, enjoying the great performance, handling and sound of the Zed! Had brunch at the Cat and Fiddle Café, fantastic scenery, great driving road, despite being a 50mph limit, very little traffic, then home! Washed the Zed, had a cup of tea, couldn't stop smiling!!!!!!!

    Soft Top issue

JetSet is correct. The handbook states a mimimum temperature of 5 deg C, but you really need temps around 8 deg C for the hood to be pliable enough to fold flat.
  6. Had the HEL hoses fitted as part of disc/pad change a few months ago. No problems. I was already impressed with the stopping power of the Brembo's and OEM pads, but the upgrade was well worth it!
  7. GM, Thank you for your constructive advice
  8. Fellow Zeders, I've have my Zed a year now and whilst the engine bay looks reasonable,I want t get it to a good standard. However, I am rather wary about mixing water and electrics! Should I use cling film or aluminium foil to mask off electrics? Any advice on process to follow or technique? Also any advice on degreasers and dressing would be most welcome! Ridz

    Avons ZZ3 & ZV5

I've had my Zed for 12 months now. It had some nearly new Avon ZZ3s on the rear and the original Bridgestones on the front. The stability control kept activating during hard cornering! The fronts have now reached the legal limit and have just replaced them with ZZ3s. They have transformed the Zeds handling, no more stability interventions, which confirms all the advice offered on this forum about not mixing tyres.
  10. Spotted a grey 370Z roadster in Wilmslow town centre lunchtime today.
  11. +1 for the DBA discs with Ferodo pads. CS or ZmanAlex(Clark Motorsport) are great suppliers
  12. I have a roadster too. I think it's just a Cheshire trait not to acknowledge.
  13. Nice yellow 370 on heading towards Knutsford this morning. I did wave, but as we were in opposing directions, on a fast A road, not sure if I was acknowledged.

    Which fuel

Always use super unleaded. Most dedicated Zed owners opt for the premium brands such as Shell or BP because of the additional fuel additives, but the Tesco Momentum is also favoured.
  15. Agree with all the previous comments. The Zed's hood is quite a thick canvas which loses its flexibility when the temperatures start to drop. Leave the heater on to warm the hood up. You may need a couple of attempts to retract the hood, but it does stow eventually

    New pads required.

Just had the Ferodo pads and braided hoses fitted, very impressive performance!! All parts supplied by Cougar Store, great service!
  17. Enjoy your roadster, Rob, I've had mine just on a year, and love every minute of driving it!
  18. The roof on the 350 is canvas and, I believe it is mohair type on the 370. I use the Autoglym soft top kit on my 350 roadster, with good results

    What exhaust?

If you are in the market for a quality exhaust system and you are planning to keep your Zed for some time, I can recommend the Milltek. Just fitted one on my Zed, no fitting problems and looks good!
  20. I have a 2006 pre face lift roadster and have found it uses no oil at all between services. As previously stated, buy the best you can for your budget, but an impeccable service history is vital. If you can get one from here, so much the better, you know it will be looked after! Hope you find one that suits your needs, and if you do, enjoy!!!! But please be aware of Zeditis!
  21. Agree, looks good. I think I'll give it a go!
  22. First to second is always stiff, until the gearbox is warmed up. Like the previous, good advice, take it slow until both engine and gearbox warm up. Then enjoy!!!
  23. Have just fitted a Milltek system on my Zed. Fantastic improvement in performance and a great build quality, however, the exhaust note is similar to OEM system below 4000 rpm.
