  1. Welcome to the forum and as tatooAndy67 there is a wealth of knowledge and information on this site, you can't go wrong with a 350/370.
  2. I was told that the 370 GT had a proper LSD not the viscous one as fitted to most 350's and 370's. I've never had a problem either with losing the back end once it starts to go, its nowhere near as savage as an MR2 which once it does start to go goes with avengence. Personally I've never been that keen on Beemers as where they were once considered slightly exotic as they were quite rare, the whole world and his dog has one and i prefer the rarity value of the 350/370. I much prefer the lines of the 350 as the 370 has avery straight ine from the roof down to the bottom of the boot. Still each to his own
  3. HI, do you still have the piece that covers the gear lever and has the 3 holes for the heater controls? If so, how much?
  4. Has anyone seen the Junkman videos on YouTube? He has done one video where he uses water to dry his car (yup i didn't believe it until i saw it), I'm not sure if his water is filtered (he's based in the USA so not sure of their water quality) but he runs clean water over his car which is so highly polished and waxed that the water takes all residual suds and marks off the paint leaving it unmarked and dry.
  5. The best way I've found of applying the Humbrol is to use a cocktail stick instead of a brush as you can dab the tiniest amount of paint to the damage, build it up if necessary and you're left with no brush marks. And no you won't need any clearcoat as the Hunbrol is Enamel.
  6. Have you tried putting your hand next to the hub of the bearing you think might be worn/failing, it will be a lot warmer than the others if its on its way out.
  7. What pisses me off most is car drivers who seem to think they can make a point by trying to 'touch' my back wheel whilst I'm riding my motorbike and I'm still moving, pulling up to a junction/lights. Are they so stupid to realise that they're gonna knock the rider clean off and possibly run me over. A few other riders have encountered these prats as well.
  8. The Shell website has a a map showing whereabouts their petrol stations are throughout the UK and i used to have a free app on my old Blackberry that gave prices and types of fuel on sale at most garages, unfortunately i can't recall the name of it the moment (it also gave names of cinemas, restaurants).
  9. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your '08. I hope she gives you many miles of trouble free motoring.
  10. Hey Kezzman, its not 1 of 176 , its 1 of 76 as 100 were painted in Kuro Black, so its rarer than you think and as mentioned before, the Numpty who removed the numbered badge needs wiring to the mains but Nissan should be able to help you out.
  11. Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy many hours of fitting parts and getting it just how you like it.
  12. Welcome to the forum and I can assure you you'll derive much more pleasure from throwing soap and water over a 350Z than your Astra. I'm not deriding your Astra in any way but you'll have more fun in just about every part of car ownership.
  13. Welcome to the forum, looks like you've got yourself a nice spring project there, just in time for some summer cruising.
  14. What a smart purchase, good luck with it and I hope you enjoy many miles of 'hooning'
  15. Welcome to the forum Dom and good luck with your search. I wouldn't be tempted to buy the first half decent Zed you see as there are more and more on the market at your price range. A couple of things worth looking out for are dodgy synchro's between 5th and 6th gears (grinding noise when you change between 5th and 6th). Sometimes the window motors fail and cost the best part of £350 rom Nissan (ZMan Alex does them for £179) Some of the early Bose systems have dodgy CD players and the front right hand speakers fail. I'd also check out plenty of insurance brokers as fee's until you hit 25 vary greatly. Have you tried Adrian Flux? You will find this forum a hive of information, so keep reading and good luck with your search.
  16. Welcome to the forum. That is one hell of a Tidy Alpha you have there and it looks, judging by the condition of it that you really look after your vehicles and that being the case I would say that the Zed is the car for you. All cars have their foibles and slightly rough edges but since I bought mine a couple of years ago I've had nothing but smiles, the only problem being the drivers door window motor failing on me. If you can find one with few owners a full history and fairly low miles at the right price for you then I'd jump in with both feet and buy one, it'll give you miles of fun.
  17. Does anyone have any idea as to how to remove a CD that when I pushed it in the slot yesterday it didn't seem to locate in any of the 6 slots and I can't seem to remove it. I really don't fancy removing the head unit as all of the other slots accept CD's Does anyone have any ideas??
  18. I was looking for a @*!# hot REX that had been lovingly looked after before I came across my Zed just over a year ago and all I managed to find were old sheds that had seemed to have been cobbled together, thrashed to within an inch of their life and with no history. Damn shame this wasn't up a while ago as I would have been throwing money at you GLWS.
  19. Which size is this as I believe they came in two sizes, I think 5/16 as one size and I can't remember the other size off hand. What size is this please ?
  20. Hi, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks when typing answers to questions or replying to articles that are for sale that a lot of letters on the keys that I press are not recognised and I'm having to go over what I've typed already. Its not a problem with my keyboard needing a clean as it only happens on this particular website. If i've finished writing a sentence and happen to look up at the screen its full of wriggly red lines where letters and punctuation are missing. Anyone else suffering this?
  21. Is this 370 specific or could it also be used on the 350Z?
