  1. Hey M.1, welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your Zed. My drivers side window packed up just two weeks into ownership and i was lucky enough to get it replaced under warranty. I had two 200SX S14 SR20DET's prior to my 350Z and neither of these suffered this problem, there is a thread on how to repair these motors or if you are going to replace it get in touch with ZmanAlex (a trader on this forum) who will be able to save you from getting a mortgage if you go direct to a Nissan dealer. Happy motoring.
  2. I bet it was the girl who lives next to me who runs a Nissan people carrier, there isn't a straight panel on the car and also each panel has about 6 different colours of paint that has been scraped from every car she's hit. Your 350 is Kuro black yeah? I'll do a panel check for you LOL. Hope all goes well with your repair.
  3. That is not a standard Part of UK car. If you google sterling alarms there is a wealth of information to be found about the company and I'm sure they'd be able to help you out.
  4. Meguiars endurance Gel. I also use this on the wheel arch liners on the front after I've given the car a good wash, it makes such a difference. I also use it on the plastic scuttle just below the windscreen. This stuff is so versatile its saving me a small fortune and reducing the amount of products i need for detailing.
  5. For a bit of a laugh I tried Meguiars Endurance Tyre Gel and found that it worked really well, lasts a lot longer than it does on my tyres and one less product to buy in order to keep my Zed fresh.
  6. This is the only site it happens on and it doen't happen when using other programmes on my laptop either. Its a right royal pain in the ass, there has to be something somewhere to do with this site if its not just me who is encountering this problem.
  7. No wonder you're getting crap mpg, driving half a mile to work is going to more damage than good to your engine whether you spank it at the weekend or not. My sister used to do the same mileage to work and then moved house and now does 20 miles each way, her mpg has virtually doubled!!!
  8. As GMBallistic says, a dab of copper grease on all surfaces helps prevent the 'welding' of aluminium to steel and prevents rounding off the nuts when removing them.
  9. Hey Paul, , Congratulations and welcome to the forum, looks lie you've bought yourself a tidy looking beast there
  10. Gotta say that you've bought a really nice motor that looks as though its been really well cared for and i love the LMGT4's, I know they're not to everyones taste but I just love 'em.
  11. The whole world and his dog drives Beemers these days, do you want to be a sheep or a sharp, stylish man about town who is an independant thinker.
  12. Hey Torino, congratulations on the purchase of your Fairlady and welcome to the forum.
  13. Hey Makkers, looks like you've bought yourself a nice 'n' tidy Zed, congratulations on you purchase and a warm welcome to the forum.
  14. Welcome to the forum. I had two S14 SR20DET's before i bought my Zed and was a member of the SXOC, must admit i enjoy my Zed more than my S14's though. Azure Blue the best paint a Zed can get.
  15. Welcome to the forum Tom, what can i say about the Zed, one of the most beautiful looking cars on the road in my opinion. The exhaust note is something bordering on addictive and the torque can make for a lazy drive if need be.If anything were to happen to this one I'd be straight out looking for another. Good luck with whatever you choose to go with.
  16. Hey congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have a few scenic tours planned for the summer.
  17. Does anyone suffer this problem? I type stuff out on this forum only half of the letters don't appear, the space bar doesn't appear to work properly and if I'm referring back to a previous post it goes back a post shakes on the screen a bit then goes back to what I'm writing. It takes me ages to complete a post on this site as I'm having to go back to sort it out (the cursor has just jumped back a couple of lines on its own accord!!!!!) The cursor seems to flicker madly. I don't have this problem on any other site, is there anything i can do bar sling my laptop against a wall. Anyone have any ideas???
  18. The 2006 had a velocity stack as standard in the tweaked airbox, the parts can be bought as a kit from a member of this forum for the princely sum of approx £35. These when fitted with a plennum spacer and tuned and uned with Up-Rev have given slight hp raises over the standard airbox and pod filters which pretty much just give you a bit of induction noise. As GMBallistic mentions, the previous problem with pod filters is that they suffer from heat soak, thus losing a little power. Bizarre as it may seem, a K&N, '06 airbox or '03 to '05 fitted wth the velocity stack kit is the best way for you to go.
  19. Shame you missed the clearance sale Mishimoto did on these about 6 to 8 weeks ago where they were selling them for £15 a go. Suffice to say they ran out of stock pretty damn quick as people were buying them in multiples, you could have bought a couple and could have afforded to chop a couple up to get what you really wanted.
  20. Wow, those callipers look the dogs bollox against the colour of the car, and those are a sexy set of rotors to match too. A nice job you've done there.
  21. The only time I've ever put 95ron in mine was when i couldn't get any thing else and i did put up a post here as i was crapping myself as to what damage it could do. The town i live in never used to have a Shell garage so i had to travel to fill up. About a year ago Shell took over from another garage and now all is well and as previously mentioned its double points for V-Power on your Shell card. My Z has a sticker inside of the fuel flap saying to fill up with 98ron only.Economy in this regard is futile and will end up being veryexpensive.
  22. If i were to collect, whereabouts in Blighty are you? P.S. The link you put up desn't work.
