  1. Oh my, i think i have been on the stupid pill's. You sir are indeed correct, i do remember taking the nut/sleeve off and fitting it to my new discs. In my defence that was a long time ago! (2 weeks) Wheels are fitted and looking tidy, chuffed.
  2. Ha what a numpty, lass haste more speed. It was so rusty it looked like it was part of the hub Thanks guys
  3. it doesn't look like its removable? I will go and remove the bolt now, but i think the thing its screwed into is welded, i hope im wrong! brb
  4. Hi Guys, Just pulled one of my front wheels off to try and fit my eibach 20mm front spacers and new 370z wheels. The issue is the Eibach spacer obviously has 5 holes for the original wheel studs to pass through, but i have another "something" protruding from my wheel hub, its not a stud, its like a small welded on cylinder that had a bolt going into the top of it?? I dont know what purposes it serves, i saw it when i changed my discs but didn't think much of it, but now its in the damn way! How did everyone on here manage to fit their eibach spacers? Any help much appreciated, Zed is sitting outside on jacks as we speak
  5. Well I ended up having a go by hand, used g3 prep shampoo, meguiars quick clay, then 3 applications of g3 scratch remover followed by 2 applications of g3 paint restorer. Did this over the whole car (except the front bumper) in ine day. Results are good! There's a few stubborn areas that need another few applications but overall around 80% of the scratches are invisible at 3 feet now oh, and I need an arm transplant
  6. Thanks for the tips, I have looked at DAs but they are quite a bit more expensive. As someone pointed out if having to get a DA and all the other bits maybe it is worth paying a pro . . . Will do some more investigating costs
  7. Just got a black 350z, it's got quite bad clear coat scratches all over it, especially down both wings/doors. Looks like the previous owner was a car wash fan! I know the vast majority of these could be fixed with a good polish. Really don't fancy paying a pro, looked at prices, ridiculous! Am I foolish to be considering getting a rotary polisher and having a (careful) go at fixing them myself? I went at a few of the worst ones by hand at the weekend with good success, but there's just far too many all over the car to continue that malarkey! Any tips/advice/experiences appreciated. Thanks
  8. Thanks for all welcomes! Located near oldmeldrum, will certainly pop along to the march meet
  9. Thanks guys, apologies for spelling, laptops broken so typing on iPhone
  10. My partner was looking for a new car, so instead of getting something boring I chipped in and convinced her to get a Z! It's a 54 plate gt with 52k miles on the clock, we managed to get it for a very keen price bits it is need of some tlc. We have had the car 2 weeks and are loving it so far. The previous owner hadn't driven it in almost a year, it needs new discs and pads all round, the wheels refurbed and new tyres, the auto grips that are on it are just awful, especially in the wet!! So much good info on this forum, I have already changed the belts, front dis as and pads and all the fluids, so thanks for all the info so far!! Looking forward to getting the Z fully up to scratch so I can start a bit of light tuning!
