  1. My mate might be able to beat that as he regularly drives to France, Belgium and both North and South Germany. I'll ask him what he'll do it for and pm you.
  2. You're looking at a post 2007 350Z for the bulge in the bonnet, not sure if you can get Carbon ones that come with the bulge. I suppose you'll be looking at a breakers or the FOR SALE section on this site.
  3. to the forum, I must admit I had a bit of a freak out when I saw your name as its so similar to mine and I wondered why I'd said that I was a new ZED owner a year after 'd joined. Hope you enjoy your ZED as much as I enjoy mine.
  4. to the forum. I had two S14's before I bought my Z and it was the best thing I could have done. My first S14 was fairly mildly tuned but my second one had over £13k spent on the engine alone and was putting out 365bhp and 345ft/lb of torque that was without the NOS. It was more suited to the track than the road (racing clutches are a pig in traffic) and I used to wear earplugs on long journeys. Buying my ZGT was brilliant, I've had it just over a year now and it still brings a big to my face every time I get in it. I love the torque, the comfort, the colour (azure blue) and I've enjoyed it that much I've not done much to it at all yet. Go on take a leap of faith, you won't be disappointed. The S14's and S15's are getting a bit long in the tooth now, go for GT and feel some VEE power.
  5. and congratulations on a beautiful GT4, I hope you have many happy hours behind the wheel.
  6. Ooops for getting the web address wrong and thanks Ian for remembering the Bosokuzu craze, I'd watched you tube clips a while back and couldn't for the life of me remember the name by which this craze is known. So a big thanks to DoogyRev for correcting my mistake and thanks to Ian for highlighting just what I plan to do to my Zed at the weekend, I think It'll sound mental, I'm sure the folks in the secure unit will love it.
  7. Bloody hell you've done a great job on that there bonnet, it looks fabtastic regardless of dodgy weave.
  8. I much prefer this, just a nice simple silver. Graham, is that a rattle can or professional jobbie? Might get a 2nd hand plenum and give this a go... I really like the finish on this and would also like to know if its a rattle can job or a pro job.
  9. Messy and sticky but great for Ladyboys with a five o'clock shadow (don't ask).
  10. ^^^^^ Just go to a marine shop or if there's not one near you a narrow boat suppliers (which is where mine came from) will sell it as the boats spend all their time outside in all weathers and get the reflection of the water on all wood. I bought mine from Braunston Marina and unfortunately I can't remember the name of it as I lent it to a mate and have yet to have it retuned to me. As long as it says UV protectant which all stuff from marine shops is then you'll be OK. Oh yeah make sure its clear and not mahogany coloured.
  11. I'm with you Zippypooz, I think a lot depends on what music you play through it and the best bit is I've been playing cassettes on it that I haven't played for years. Oh the memories.
  12. Oh dude congrats on your purchase, you're gonna have smiles for miles when driving around the twisties in your neck of the woods.
  13. The Mighty Car Mods guys did a test on something like this and I'm sure they went on to test it against a leaf blower on the dyno with a slightly better result (I think) check out their you tube clips for a good laugh.
  14. has any one seen one of the most bizarre exhaust mods done to a 350Z. I know there's a big scene in Japan where the bigger the exhaust the 'cooler' the look of the car ( I can't remember the name of the movement) but this just takes the biscuit, It can be viewed at ; my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/583935. Enjoy and don't laugh too much.
  15. I think I'm right in saying that the first car Clarkson tested was a pre production UK which was imported from Japan and as a result had inferior plastics (which he moaned about like crazy). He also moaned about the Bose sound system which according to him the sub pounded his crumbling back. I don't think his review on the rag top was much better. The only Nissan he liked was the GTR (which pulled the only muscle in his neck). He's more of a Mercedes and Ferrari man which sort of says it all really. As funny as he can sometimes be he's a bit of a dinosaur.
  16. My headlamp lenses were foggy on my '04 and I started by rubbing down with wet 'n' dry working up to 2500 grit, this gives a totally new finish to the lenses. The next stage was to use some Marine quality clear urethane UV resistant sealant . this works a treat as its meant for boats which spend 24hrs a day in all sorts of weather especially strong sunlight (stronger sunlight if you take trips to the Caribbean) A couple of light coats a couple of years ago and the lenses are as clear as the day I completed them. Time taken approx. 3 hours per lense for a really good job allowing drying time between coats. I initially tried the toothpaste method but found that this didn't even last a summer. Turtle wax also manufacture a product specifically for this job but personally I find this doesn't last very long either. I'll continue the UV resistant urethane as its the best treatment I've found thus far.
  17. If you were a little enthusiastic going round a bend or corner then the slip sign will light up on the dash albeit briefly just to let you know its working. You mention tyres, if you're running tyre sizes with too much of a difference between circumferences then you'll find the slip light coming on regularly and the ride will not be pleasant at all. I'm thinking enthusiastic driving around a corner is the cause of the light as it went out pretty much straight away. Hope this is of some help.
  18. Please allow me to introduce myself 'I'm a man of wealth and taste' (showing my age by quoting The Stones)
  19. Hello and welcome to the forum. I live in rugby too and drive an azure blue, will look out for a Zed minus a front bumper.
