95k on my 07 HR, original clutch, runs like a charm! I do all my own servicing where I can - oil, filters, spark plugs, belts, etc...

I've posted previously about the road trips I did in 2013 and 2014 across fair chunks of europe, including the alps, 'ring, pyrenees, autobahns, france, spain, switzerland, etc... One of the guys I went with has since posted up some videos of the trip. Well worth a watch if you fancy some inspiration for this summer.

I have a mate with an RX7 - no end of engine and electrical problems. He's no Lewis Hamilton either and has found himself unexpectedly pointing the wrong way on more than one occasion on track days. The interior is small - driving with a helmet on for me (6'4") is difficult. Fuel economy is dire regardless of driving style. The engine actually blew up when he was driving it home after buying it, lol, cost him about 4K to put right iirc Pulls like a Train though - slightly quicker than my stripped out e46 m3 in a straight line so it would leave a 350/70z for dust. (When rolling on the track... Haven't tried it from stationary). Not a fan of the exhaust noise compared to either of my 6-pot cars.

Not a 10, but had an earlier one... Running / maintenance costs weren't as smal as the Z, but bloody hell it was crazy fast! They look a bit chav these days, otherwise I'd certainly have one again.

Running costs... Can't be that bad if you avoid the Speed6 and get one with the outriggers already sorted? Chimaera 500 for example - Rover V8 and a Borg and Warner Gear Box... Not that much to go wrong on one of them, surely?

Considering that people having flat tyres is still a problem the world faces, it's proving surprisingly difficult to get some same day / next day! :-(

Pilot Sport 4 any good?

I'm away with work and have a flat front right. The rears are ready to be changed too so want all 4 doing. None of the tyre places I've called can get hold of MPSS in time (ie, today / tomorrow) What's the next best tyre? :-/

Considering taking up flying again, instead of spending money on fast cars. I did about 15hrs 10years ago but none since. Can see us going touring across the UK, and/or me getting in to aerobatics. Anybody done similar?

Probably an ABS sensor has failed on the corner that took the hit? No idea about the Z, but on my M3 it's an easy / cheap fix and the lights all clear themselves after a few hundred yards of driving.

I'm going to sell the Z too, and buy just one car, though I'm not sure which one yet... Options list currently includes; E90 M3 E60 M5 Jag XFR (can only afford the pre-facelift 6sp one) C63 AMG (Ideally a PP model, so has LSD and stiffer ride as standard) VXR8 RS4 RS6 (the 5L v10 TT at 570-odd BHP would be good, but will require a bit more saving than I think I want to do) I want something practical, powerful, good for long distance motorway miles, and good for a European road trip every year.

These are in budget and have a massive spec ! Tad old man-ish though? A bit... But I'm 32 and an XFR will be my next car. Can't argue with a 500hp V8. I'm going for classy, not old-manny

Sure our standard of living has nothing to do with the extra fuel duty tax then the tax on the fuel duty tax they tax us with. Of course it does... Got to pay for all the public services somehow!

GangZoom - Premium Bonds and an ISA. Or spunk it on a well expensive used car that won't depreciate too much and sell it later when you need the cash.
