  1. Don't use an Extender - they're crap for lots of technical reasons I won't bore you with. Best solution is to buy an Access Point, plug it in at the other end of your house and wire it back to your main router. Configure the SSID to be IDENTICAL to the one you already use, but put it on a different channel, ie, if main Router is on Ch6, put the new one on Ch1 or Ch11. Dead easy and now you've got decent WiFi everywhere. If you need help with any of this, just PM me. Rich (Wireless network engineer by trade) Edit: Typo
  2. £30k for a well old DE? Don't care what VIN or options it has - that's bonkers!
  3. 595 RS-Rs are pretty good for the money - last well, work ok when cool and don't go off easily when hot, but you do sacrifice outright grip compared to something like MPS Cups... but then the Cups are about 50% more expensive so who cares!?
  4. I have BC BR on my M3 and I love them - much better bump handling than my Z has. The other nice thing with BC is that they often have 2-3 different Spring rates to chose from and its 'only' about £130 for all four if you want to swap.

    Brake fluid

Changing brake fluid every track day or every 6 months is a bonkers waste of time and money! As Brillo said, just change it when it needs changing.
  7. Hah, not with a boot as small as the 350s!
  8. Traveling home last night, doing about 60, downhill on a pretty wide / open B-Road with the main beam on. A big deer jumps out of nowhere, plonks its self in the middle of the road and just stops. I jammed on the anchors, tickled the ABS so backed off the pedal slightly and veered left. The deer decides it is feeling suicidal so it moves back in my way, I swerve right instead and miss it by about a foot. It was a big bugger and would have ended up in my windscreen if I'd actually hit it. Thank f*** for good tyres (MPSS) and driver training!
  9. I spent a week in San Fran last year - I've got family there too - it's a brilliant place and I love it. I'd be doing the same if the Mrs wasn't so planted here. Well done you for taking the leap - enjoy!
  10. Looks like mine is on the fritz so time for a new one. What type of central heating controllers are you all using? Ideally I'm after something that allows a 7 day program, independent control over the central heating and hot water systems, with some kind of '1hr boost' available for both. Not massively fussed about it being 'smart', wifi enabled, etc... as that seems to command a huge price increase for little benefit. If it matters, the system is based on a traditional gas boiler and hot water tank with a wired thermostat. I will be installing myself. Any suggestions? Cheers
  11. Why don't you own an RX7 / RX8 then?
  12. I used to have a IV with a VII engine and short ratio gearbox in it - ridiculously fast car around corners and in straight lines. They look pretty chavvy by today's standards though, interior looks dated, etc. If I didn't have the Mrs nagging me to get a respectable looking car, I'd have one again for sure... POWEEEER!!!
  13. lol, must not do things at such an early hour! Nice car the Cayman - good luck with it
  14. MY07 will be either a RevUp DE or an HR. Go for the HR if you can - better interior, better motor, better gearbox.
  15. Met mine online - get married next year! Match.com
  16. Mixed fortunes on the spa front - will write about it when the Mrs isn't nearby! Now in Kyoto, via the Bullet Train. Brilliant train, lovely city, though only seen temples so far really. Finally saw some Zeds too - DE & a 70... they do exist then! Thank god for English subtitles everywhere! Bullet train; And soon after this pic, I found out that I wasn't working the entry gates properly and got escorted away by a Guard for re-education... Oops! :-) Finally got to Kyoto though, saw some old stuff (Pagoda at the most famous Buddhist Temple in the city)
  17. Mrs wants to go to a naked volcanic spa......
  18. Photo taken from the 1st floor on the train station, almost right above the dog... Looks mental at night - decent pics on me proper camera tho.
  19. Decent pics are all on my proper camera; Bonkers crossing in Shibuya - easily on a par with Piccadilly Circus Sushi in Harajuku
  20. Been here in Tokyo three days now and I haven't seen a single Z! Ferraris, Porsches, Bentleys, a GTR, a couple of Lambos, an Aston.... but not a single Z of any age! Also... Apparently they don't keep cars very long because their version of an MOT is every other year and costs about $1000! And if you want to buy a car, you have to prove to the police you have somewhere to park it before you can buy it. Been round most of the famous tourist spots in Tokyo - next up is Mt Fuji, Hakone, Kyoto then Hiroshima.
  21. I'm sure there's a thread on here about this already but I can't find it... I've just jumped in to this world with a Breitling Colt Chronograph Automatic with tan leather strap and a white face. Nice and heavy but not too big a face, very comfy, and bought by my future Mrs as a man-gagement gift. What are you wearing / saving up for?
