  1. How did the car feel afterwards? Was it a noticeable difference?
  2. I'd say there's a big bargaining tool right there! Can't wait to see this Beemer - whichever one you end up with!
  3. A very good question and one I never know the answer to! I do keep looking at my car, also popping the bonnet and thinking "Hmmm, what next"? Painting my wheels (or rather the polished lip) was my last flash of creative inspiration, but I'm drawing blanks now - especially with the bay. I do think bays like yours (v1.0), MopedMark's and Wasso's etc look awesome with everything polished/chromed, especially with the plenum being the main focal point, and I do keep thinking about heading down that route, but I'm sure I'll stay Tango. I'm working away from home at the moment (during the week) and will be for a while, so I don't have the long evenings to do those 'bits and pieces' that you can't help but having a crack at after work before it goes dark. So I think weekends this summer will simply be spent enjoying the Zed (I miss it more than the other half during the week)
  4. Thanks mate, very much appreciated. Wow! You really have made a swerve in a different direction. Bet it was a difficult decision after all the work (and hours) you put into polishing. Love that colour/shade of blue though. I assume there will still be some shiny bits in your bay, I imagine it's gonna look rather epic when all refitted I spot two different styles of battery/brake fluid cover. You really are a tease Payco.
  5. Haha Not sure why this thread is addressed to me! I just remove stuff, paint it orange, then refit it. Job done There are various ways to clean the bay, and there are some very VERY shiny examples on this forum (see above). I removed as much as possible, wrapped all electrical items in cling film, degreased the bay then jet washed it This was a starting point, then just clean, clean and clean again. For the gunky stuff around the strut brace feet, use carb cleaner. but be careful with it as it's potent stuff. I'm sure others will offer words of wisdom, so prepare to make notes (lots of them), but I found YouTube very useful for tips etc. Payco - When's the big reveal happening?? Can'twait to see what you've been up to
  6. Remember that a pair of plates will also cost you circa £20-£30 as well.
  7. What's that/what are those graphics on the side of the ginger one on the right of this pic? Any more photo's?
  8. Fantastic pics and some awesome 350 and 370 Zed examples.
  9. The current owner sounds like a typical BMW driver if you ask me
  10. I don't think you can 'instantly' put a plate on retention - It's all done via the DVLA which means sending the V5 off. This process takes about 2 weeks (from recent experience). You used to be able to do it at a local DVLA office, but these have all closed now. Buy the car and agree to a gentleman's agreement that you'll put the plate on retention when you get the paperwork and put him as the 'owner' of the plate when doing so. Make sure he pays the fees though, or takes them off the price of the car.

  17. Hi Lycan, I know I'm completely shooting myself in the foot here, but there's a 'pre-owned' one of mine in the for sale thread with a blue Z.Take a look: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/97604-14n-tonneauvertical-divider-w-blue-z/ Of course, still let me know if you'd like me to make you one, I'd be more than happy to. And to the forum Hi STYLZ. Sure thing, will do

  19. Phew! I was worried there for a moment. I was under the impression that what happened in Wales, stayed in Wales. When I saw this thread title, I thought Saturday nights shenanigans had made it onto the forum.....

  21. If we're talking about easy bhp gains - a boot divider/vertical tonneau gives at least a 10% power increase at the front wheels

  23. Shame, where are you going in South Korea? Had 5 years there myself, Seoul is interesting as is the food!!! I was offered a job in Seoul. I turned it down though, as I felt it wasn't the right Korea move. I'll fetch my coat
