  1. I've heard horrible things about them Are you planning to box it up? Try senditnow or parcel monkey.
  2. Wouldn't it be more practical to just pay for lessons than to buy a car and be taught by a non professional?
  3. Yup, and what is wrong with it? They're all much the same unless you bring the actual B pillars to someone who can give them a carbon fibre skin.
  4. Could you not just drive out and back in again to another pump?
  5. Yep stuck it in the post box on the 30th on the way to the pub, so it went on Monday as the 30th was a Sunday, but that's not what the DVLA web site said... They acknowledged the car was sold on the 30th, as they issued the log book dated the 30/11/14 and they would refund full months from then, It should be irrelevant when they receieved it, it should go on the date when I no longer owned the car.. So it was posted in December? Case closed I know it's shite, it should be done daily as I said before, but it's been processed as per the terms.
  6. You can't really call them Stealth cameras when there are bloody signs everywhere warning that there are cameras. That's why I put it in quotation marks, because I was quoting the term Still thought they had to be wearing high vis.
  7. I thought they weren't allowed to use "stealth" camera's and they had to be those big brightly coloured boxes?
  8. You've said here that you posted it off the following day. You said you sold the car not he 30th, making the following day the 1st Dec. Going by what Colin posted, you will get refunded for any full months remaining provided you post it BEFORE the 1st day of the 1st month that you want refunded for. The 1st of December is not before the 1st of December.
  9. Am I right in assuming that it was a carbon cover you purchased?
  10. I agree that the payment should be calculated daily, it's not that hard for a computer to divide a number by 365.
  11. I see nothing wrong here. The date you write on the V5 is irrelevant. Anyone could easily start back dating things to get an extra months tax back.
  12. Ah ok, so you emailed them with your order number and explained the issue, rather than going through the various steps in your account due to it not being there.
  13. There is a 2011 Nissan 370Z GT in blue for sale on the Autotrader website over here in Belfast. Only 13,600 miles. Looking £17,750 but I think it has been advertised for a while so maybe room for negotiation. Might be worth a cheap flight over via Easyjet or Flybe. This has been for sale for ages. Dash has been flocked as its been in an accident. Dash doesn't look flocked to me No idea about the accident, though. Did you HPI it? Here another nice one over here, out of budget no doubt, but is wearing some nice LMGT4's http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201412169670786/sort/default/make/nissan/usedcars/page/1/quicksearch/true/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/postcode/bt635wt/radius/1501/ni-only/on/model/370_z?logcode=p
  14. That's the issue though, Mcook seems to be falling for some sob story and thinks he's under the impression that he's just dealing with this privately - It needs to be dealt with a senior staff and with kwik fit them selves It is being dealt with by senior staff, the manager has progressed the issue
  15. What happened, how did you get the refund?
  16. I think some people need to take a step back here. Working for a big company, I know there are procedures to be followed. The manager most likely will have protocol or Standard Operating Procedures to follow in this scenario, he can not simply go into the back and pull out a fist full of cash and hand it to MCook to buy new wheels. He will have his boss to relay the information to and the area manager may or may not have to relay the info to his boss in order to approve a refund. You can send 10 letters a day and it won't make a difference, but I would be keeping contact with them a couple of times a week in the form of calling down, because if they do try to slide it under there table, it's much easier to do over the phone than in person.
  17. I tend to agree, but I don't mind it if it's a really good job and not too much of it. What I really don't like is that crap plastic moulded trim they have in new cars that vaguely resembles a carbon weave.
  18. That lacquer looks like it came out of a Halfords rattle can! Whats the deal with the 3 pods? Are they supposed to be black and white carbon weave?
  19. It almost sounds to me like the kid fcuked up and was trying to hide it by paying you out of pocket, but then his boss found out about it and has suspended him. If that is the case, the manager is a dick.
  20. Have them hydro dipped, actual carbon covers are miles over priced.
  21. That's exactly how it happens, however, right at the end the insurer says "Now that your car is faster and more desirable, I will be doubling your policy price"
  22. Have you tried Alex?
