Second hand OEM systems go for over a grand on eBay really not worth it, plus they're crap.

I pour lukewarm water around the edge if it's frozen up, seems to do the trick as it warms the glass by a couple of degrees.

The Zeds dash lights up whether the lights are on or not, stupid in my opinion. I was caught out a couple of times when I first got it and both times were in built up, very well lit areas, so I wasnt able to see that they weren't on. My stupid fault of course, but if he dash lights weren't on then it 100% wouldn't have happened. Anyway, my pet peeve is drivers in the left lane entering a roundabout and following right round to exit after 6 o'clock. It happens a lot where I am because there are 8 roundabouts on a dual carriageway and I've lost count the amount of times I've seen someone nearly lose their front end because of these idiots.

£2 for the small plastic pin for the kick plates. Ordered it about 2pm, got a call the next morning to come get it. Arrived, he handed it to me and told me not to worry about the cash. they're not all bad. Did try to sell me new belt for £29 each though!

I had the US ones on mine, no problems at all with them and looked much better than OEM pre 06 ones. Sold them on here for about £100 at the start of the year because I managed to get OEM LEDs for a great price. They do pop up when people sell the car, but it's very rare, couple of sets a year I'd say.

Not bad if they're cheap. Shame they're not 19's though. Don't use spacers though, they'll sit perfect without them.

Does it work when you use the button to lower it? If not you'll need to give the motor a reconditioning or buy a new one.

I got my LEDs from a UK HR to fit my UK 04, had to trim the connectors guides.

Just watched it today. It's actually not that bad, there are no ridiculous "special effect" explosions or other tacky rubbish. The only bad thing I noticed was 17 year olds driving a 10 second STi and there being a "High School Drag" competition

You could spend X amount of money on new ones, plus however long it takes to remove the wires from the original connectors. OR, you could spend 10 minutes filing them down. Did you find the connector on down from the bulb fitting?

What he said ^^^ On the bottom picture, you can see 3 spaces for guides, two at the top and one double one at the bottom, it's these guides on the loom that need shaved off. I made the mistake earlier saying it was guides on the light that need shaved I think.

there are small guides on the male part of the connector (on the light) that are a perfect mirror of the pre facelift ones. They just need filed off to fit in the female. It's so obvious what you have to do when you get the old ones out.

I recall this too but couldn't find the thread Rota fronts: 20kg Rota rears: 21.5kg OEM fronts:19kg OEM rears: 20kg Weights taken with tyres fitted. Brand new on the 19's, 4.5mm tread on the OEM's. So about 500g - 1kg heavier than OEM 18's, putting on 10mm thinner tyres all round (235/265) would probably be about the same weight. Back on topic - I don't think it's cutting corners. If the car is lowered it looks so much better and in theory handling should be better. Speedo etc will of course be out bay. Few %, but it'll read higher than what you're actually doing, so you could think of it as a cushion before getting done for speeding

I wonder why they don't provide all the replacements. Is there long adapters for the O2 sensors on the Invidias too? I've seen quite a few decats etc that only have little spacers that I'm sure will throw up the lights.

Aren't they like £50 more or something? They do look nice in the pictures and would match my Gemini exhaust perfectly I'm sure. Which gaskets and bolts do you get? Manifold side or Y pipe?

Make sure he signs the V5 before leaving, then you can fill in the date etc when someone buys it
