  1. DTE comes on at 40 miles I think, so yes, it's possible to drive more economical and stop the light. Well, I say light, the one by the gauge won't change, just the trip computer one.
  2. I've played it a few times, using the computers MPG and the trip to calculate how much fuel I have. The Zeds gauge is notorious for reading wrong and even calculating it then adding what I put in comes to less than the full 80 liters, so I assume the MPG reads a little lower than it should also. Not a bad thing. I did "run out" of petrol once playing this game and ha to coast into a lay-by and call for help My brother arrived with a 5 liter can and the car started flawlessly once it was in, making me think it wasn't actually empty. I then drove about 3 miles to the nearest BP and only got about 70 liters in, meaning there was still 5 in there when it ran out. My only guess is, it wasn't actually empty, but the petrol is a little dodgy down that low. I'll not be running it that close again incase some crap gets into the engine and causes problems…
  3. Meguires metal polish is the stuff a lot of people use for this. It's common on most cars, caused by UV light I believe.

    Next car?

I was thinking S15 or 14, but I think the 15 may be out of budget, but then as others have said, GTST R33's and 34 could be got for under £6k easily
  6. Rays were an optional extra up until 2006 when they became standard with the GT pack.

  8. Very sad news Isn't the petrol tank in the front of a 911? I can't help but think he would have been fine in almost any other car…
  9. I think 2 or 3 of the bolts in the metal door panel are attached to the mech, but there are more on the other side holding the glass to the mech, so by holding the glass up, you'll be holding the mech up and the window won't fall and you can access the motor.
  10. Hey mate, I sold them a good few months ago when I got my hands on OEM ones for a great price. But, up until I sold them they were working perfectly, just didn't look quite as good as the real deal, but still much better than the originals.
  11. Cars with low mileage and this many missed services is the typical candidate for one that may have engine damage due to water in the oil which can cause corrosion inside the engine and also one that has black sludge for oil. If you want to skip paying £30 for oil every year because you're only doing a few thousand miles thats fine, but you're risking some serious damage to your engine.
  12. In no way possible is that a full service history, no matter how you look at it. The schedule is every 12 months or 9k, whichever comes first, not one or the other. It's been serviced twice in 6 years, so i'd personally run away as fast as I could.
  13. You don't have to remove the window, just get a mate to hold it up or you can also use duct tape.
  14. I'm no whizz, but I guess it depends on the context of the statement. I assume she works for the same 2 letter company that the statement was about? Was the screwing over business related or personal? Could she argue that she wasn't thinking clearly after the incident? But at the end of the day, no one should ever mention their employer in any negative comment in social media. There have been many stories over the years of people getting sacked because of things they have posted on Facebook. I don't agree with the dismissal as it appears the comment wasn't about the company, but another employee, but unfortunately the reviewer has decided to make an example of your daughter
  15. No additional power and the UK models cone standard with a vLSD, some imports do also but quite a lot have just a standard differential.
  16. I'm assuming you have a replica then. It's probably supposed to be 100mm but with all the moulding processes etc it's lost a few mm each side. I have a replica V2 getting fitted ATM too, the recess doesn't look 100mm to me, more like 70, but I'm getting it smoothed over as it's not actually a Nismo bumper.
  17. What is it what is it what is it what is it?
  18. Great to hear and maybe something I'll look at in the future. Do-able with the gearbox on do you think?
