    Metal Tag

i always wondered this too, i just figured it was of some relevance and hid it away in a drawer.
  2. worth it for such an epic plate I agree with mkost numberplate laws, but spacing is a stupid law, as-long as the text doesnt overlap ofcourse.
  3. Like it! im workjing on some but doing the drilling from the back-side of the reflectors insted of cracking them open. Mine will be controlable however they wont dim with the headlights. Looks good though mate
  4. Bullet, best idea ever! Will, come to think of it, there is! pop off the wheel arch liner on passenger side, look below the headlamp and theres a big bottle full of washer fluid with what iirc looks like a motor attached too it and an electrical connector. mines already dead, im guessing motor is dead as i cant wash my lights (and it upsets me that this is broken) but you could just unplug this. Just remember to re-activate it come MOT time. I have yet to find a fuse for the washers as that was what i intially suspected was wrong with mine!

    Creak

mine does this too. Droplinks or the bannana arm are the usual suspects i need to get round to changing mine.
  6. Lovely looking car, what was that spoiler, anyone know?
  7. All i can say is oh dear god, good luck. I considder myself pretty good at wrapping interior items, have done door handles, guage pods, various other plastic bits, even an iphone and sky remote, but when i tried to do my roof last weekend (with quality Hexis vinyl i might add) all i ended up with was a massive wrinkled mess. The Zeds roof is an absolute nightmare IMO as if you start in the corner, as i beleive yoyu shoud, the vinyl has to stretch in 3 different directions and planes. Im dont have any figures as for the length of the wrap, the roof iirc is about 1.5-2m alone, so id guess somewhere between 15-20M but i could be way off. Best wait for RT to pop in
  8. I have to do this soon too. I suspect mine (as many peoples are) will be the bannana arm, but considering droplinks are in the region of £35 il try those first
  9. Mine dont work anyway. Fancy swapping cars Will so i have ones that work and you have ones that dont! ...
  10. The sides and the front (especially the front splitter) are lovely. But...did they let someone who works in Halfords Ripspeed design department design the rear? Shame
  11. i beleive the general consesus is no. Something to do with premature engine wear iirc

    HIDs

I've got 10k and dont have any police or MOT problems. Odd, it all really falls under MOT laws. Its not illegal per-se, but its likely to fail and youre likely to get stopped by the police, but then if the car looks like its supposed to have HID's, like ours do, they may think its not worth the effort and leave alone. I personally stick with 6000k, and even these are bad in heavy rain/snow, i cant imagine what 10,000k would be like!
  13. Interior domes (at least for mine, pre facelift) are 31mm. Measured them myself and got them fitted currently
  14. So far just.. 1x Pair 2003 rear lights 1x Standard aerial for the radio but ive only had the car for 4-5 weeks
  15. If it helps anyone at all, Sidelights, numberplate lights and side indicators are all W5W bulbs, these dont need to be the CANBUS special ones but at the same time it doesnt hurt iof they are. The interior dome lights are 31mm festoon bulbs and the lights behind the sun visors are 29mm festoons (these are hard to find in LED variaty, had to order mine from the USA). All of the above on my Zed are LED. The visors is a little OTT, its difficut to actually use the mirrir as the LED is so bright!

Odd, mine are some of the best lights i've ever had. I admit ive made then slightly less good by sticking 6000k HID's in, so i have lost a little light. The full (high) beam always surprises me how bright that is, but i swear my indicators are nuclear powered. I can see them reflecting on road signs 100 metres ahead even when theres other cars around...
  17. Il go against the grain here. I like it
  18. Haha same I'd buy it if it said 99
  19. This is correct I removed my old wrap at the weekend with a hot air gun. Obviously they all differ in power but i had mine on about 50% heat, just enough the get the vinyl warm. It still took me about 45 mins to get it all off as the vinyl has to be warm, but once its warn is stretches so you have to be carefull not to tear it! lol Aslong as you arent holding the gun in 1 place you wont hurt the paint, but it wouldnt take a lot of heat to cause damage, just keep it moving.
  20. Phew, sounds very lucky, a short in the engine bay fuse box could be very nasty indeed!
  21. Yup, i hate the noise that cars make when the oil is cold, you can tell its not happy, bvut as all have said above, oil pressure is fine, aslong as it settles down when its warm
  22. Id agree, megs is a good start as the clay is rather firm. Im now using dodo clay with born slippy lube (a departure for mne since my entire cleaning ritual is meguires based). The dodo clay is very tacky to the point where it sticks to your fingers, you need to be carefull not to do it opn a hot day otherwise the clay melts and gets stuck to your paint. Happened to me once and took me 4 full washes before i got rid of it all
