  1. Got Nankang snow tyres on mine, and drive to felixstowe for work with no issues at all. Remember, even a rubbish winter tyre is still better than a good summer tyre in the snow Nankang! wow. But as you say, rubbish snow tyre is better than good summer tyre. Ive got Kumho's on order. Not expensive i know but didnt want to go for the cheapest possible. Mine was OK today, a bit slippy in the wet but i left it at home monday, was absolutly lethal.
  2. I just leave mine in my pocket. If i have bl;uetooth in the car i dont need to touch the phone so..
  3. Do you actually need those CANBUS bulbs for sidelights? Normally (as in, in my past experience) you only need those with indicators to fix the rapid flashing, bit not for sidelights.
  4. Dear god those wheels are nice...
  5. Clutch was recently changed, or so i was told. I have got used to the strange noises the clutch can makes sometimes, but the crunching, il be ordering some new oil and some molyslip from alex in a few days to see if that helps. Otherwise, i've read plenty about the 5>6th gear synchro issues on these cars....
  6. Dont know if you've tried but give Adfrian Flux a ring (yes, trust me RING them!). Insurance is different for everyone but they were able to match the quotes i was getting online but also include key cover, breakdown cover and 3rd party insurance on any other car. I added my mum as a second named driver and she helped with the prices by a bit too. If you can speak to Ed (he's the one who helped me) you will be in expert hands.
  7. Winter tyres for me next week. My mate in his Audo has took me into work today since we work together but im gonna have to brave it tomorrow... Only driven 80 miles since i picked her up 2 weeks ago... damn snow.
  8. I attempted it this morning. Someone tell me, are the standard for bridge stones summer tyres? They're bloody useless. Given up now. Slipping about at 5mph just isn't worth it
  9. Thanks mate, Item is sold. and payment received. Topic can now be locked
  10. Indeed its not, especially when shes going "Pardon?, Pardon?, Pardon?" In my experience of using it, use useable at town driving speeds, but anythning over 50 and theres too much cabin noise to have a good converation via it. Probably dependant on car though, i have an induction kit and a powerflow so its kinda noisy
  11. Sorry guys been off here for a day orso, work getting in the way. Its yours mate, il send you a PM. Hopefully all goes well this time!
  12. The reverse light is amazing in LED form. Fog light is not too bad but not as good as reverse. These are what i bought, i think the projector lens really helps. The same bulb fits both the reverse and Fog l;ight and you can just about get to them if you remove the rear light clusters. Saves removing the bumper. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121034266452?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  13. Today i have been out at 7:30 and brushed the snow off of my car! Doing this has given me huge weight savings I also changed my rear fog bulb to an LED type.
  14. When i first bought mine last week i hit £90 of vpower then gave up and paid the man, my hands were dropping off. from the cold. 80ltr x average fuel price here of £1.32.9 = £106.32 This is for regular unleaded, not that i use it i just dont look at the price of vpower, i just buy it
  15. as per the info in the post above. The item is boxed up in my work desk draw ready to go and will be posted 1st class (so basically next day)
  16. Damnit, so want these! But my Mrs is like this currently after seeing what ive bought for the Zed...

    350z hire

I also looked at doing this before buying one but couldn't find any UK based company that does. Seemed to be available in the US however.
  19. Haha, ive head a bulb drop inside the headlight before. It seemed to be one of these periods where for one reason or another the bumper was of every week for something, just another reason. I ended up dropping the bumper off and removing the headlight at 7PM in the pitch black under s street light, wasnt even that hard since id done it so many times but still was annoying that a 5 min job turned into a 35 min job!
  20. Meguires Plast-x (or is is plastr-x...) is what this kind of thing excels in. As-long as the yellowing and stuff isnt too bad it should make them look like new. I want/need to do mine but its too damn cold as it takes a little while to get it perfect.
  21. But it all turned out just fine, after getting the Rotrex (new one) installed by Se7en, my bro went to a different tuner than Lee suggested. Long story short, my bro got a magazine feature in Japanese Performance and now owns one hell of a celica! I also heard about the Lee story. Good on him for getting the kit togethger and all but its now become too much about the money and not about customer service. Sorry for the off-topic comment! I also came from a celica to a 350, much better way to spend 5K plus!
  22. Just had a nice chat with Adtrian Flux who (from their 2k quote on the web) managed to get me down to ~800 on the phone, the bloke was very helpful. Il be going with them when i renew
  23. I have my mum on as a secondary named driver so this has helped. Really, thay charge less for parking it on the road! i can do that but i have a private car park thats shared between our flats, i thought asside from a garage that would be the best option. Weird.
