  1. Makes sense i guess, just seems a little unfair but id rather be covered than not for the sake of £100 differnce. I will however take out the policy over the phone to haggle down the price if i can at all. As i say my standard price was £811, im only 24 so i guess i would come as a higher risk than another more low powered car. The place where i park the car overnight is the lowest risk catagory so im pretty sure its my age.
  2. il buy the,m when i get paid. Il have to as i already have an order qued up from him!
  3. Hey all, Been looking about at quotes for the Zed when my renewal comes. My quotes seem to be around £811 from elephant, not too bad for someone of my age. I forgot to include my non fault accident half way through last year so i went onto confused.com and added this and the quote went up by £110. Should Non fault claims really increse my premium. I was injured and received £1300 as a result and the car needed £900 of repairs but the other parties insurance paid for this as she smashed into the rear of my car. I know i have to declare it (despite my mum telling me not too...) but if i phone them up and do a quote is there any chance i can get them to not charge me for it as it seems unfair that im having to pay for something that wasnt my fault. I have tried Adrian flux who are in the process of finding me quotes and have also tried Sky insurance but their initial quote was £2300 so i decided not to persue that avenue. Really just wondered what other peoples experiences are of getting non fault accidents declared on insurance but not chargable.
  4. The ODB2 port is in the drivers footwell, On the plastics, kind-of in line with the accelerator pedal. Stick your head down there and you will see it
  5. cheers mate, you couldnt really live much closer! Since you all welcomed me so nicely... (PS, its the silver car, not the dirty blue one! haha) The car is awesome, still learning clutch control in the zed though, much more punch than anything ive previously owned. The torque is intoxicating however! The only issue with the car is alot of squeeking noise from the passenger side suspension strut when moving around in a car park for example which for the price ive paid,l i dont mind fixing at some point. Asside from this, its perfect.
  6. This item is now Not sold. Sorry if your reading this garydttdi but i have checked this with glrnet and was offered the advice below since you havnt read your PM's for 3 days even. If you do come back on and want it just let me know. Due to late/non payment this is now back up for sale.
  7. Yes mate, exactly what im using it for, assuming you have the cradle thing ready to plug it in. PM Sent
  8. Course it is, if you want it, its yours just let me know via PM.
  9. Is the standard buld red or white? I think i already know the answer, the lens is red so the light must be white, but just checking
  10. Hey, bought this before i bought my GT in anticipation of it being missing on the car. As luck had it, it was actually already there so now i have two, bought this from gudsey about 2 weeks ago now, hopefully somebody is missing one and wants one! £65.00 Inc Delivery.
  11. Ahh very good. I was gonna use glyn Hopkins to keep up my service history. I'd prefer to keep up the Nissan stamps but for other jobs il use one of the others Il probably use team AFM as they're close
  12. Oooh, a bery good price, heh! Il do it now. Thanks a lot for your help
  13. Any recommendations on the brand of oil? I've been informed its a nasty job really so il be getting a garage do it but I'd prefer to supply the fluids.
  14. Amazing forum, thanks for the help. Il read the service receipts as I'd think a gearbox oil change should be part of one of the services? Either way, il get some molyslip to ease it in the mean time, it's next service is only 6-7k away anyway.
  15. Hey all. Picked my zed up tonight, it's a 2004GT with 51k miles. All seems ok except for when I'm riding the cluch to go very slowly, as in when doing a 3 point turn, there is a weird chattering noise from the passenger side wheel area. Earlier I opened the door, the car was stationary and the noise can be heard when engaging/disengaging the clutch even with no gear selected, to clarify, the noise only happens on the engagement or disengagement of the clutch and not when fully engaged. I've read about and some people say its normal, just the Zed has a noise transmission system. I need to pop to the dealers as I have a crunch if I change gear at speed from 5th to 6th (slow changes are fine) and I understand that this is a synchro issue so I can ask them too I guess about the other issue.
  16. Yeah thats what i meant, its just what they said to me it was called. None of my real details are on the forum so it doesnt really matter what i say about it. it could however just have been purely for a record, as in, it wouldnt increse my premiums, they just want to know. Regardless, that policy expires in a few days anyway, i just switched so i could drive the zed home tonight and i was also told on the course that you do not need to declare that yopu have been on one of the courses. Id like to see them take any action on me with regards to it and actually succeed.
  17. Il pay when i get paid mate, sorry i havnt updated you since the PM, will be towards the end of the month so i dont mind waiting longer obviously.
  18. I have just changed my insurance over to the Zed yesterday and for the first time ever i was asked if i had attended any "Police Driver Training Courses" I was caught using my mobile phone abour 3 years ago but luckilly got offered the course which i obviously took. I know they asked me a direct question which i lied too in response as i said no, but i also know the law and that the course acts as a kind-of pardon whereby your offences are forgiven so to speak, so you're under no legal requirement to tell them and they will only jack up your premium if you did.
  19. Car looks nice, love the rays allows, i couldnt find one with them in my price range so have the 4 spoke curvy ones, they have to go at some stage.
  20. I have a feeling you're going to regret that! haha, thanks for the offer though mate, i may well call you up on it
  21. haha yes indeed. Il have to tear it apart and find out what it does!. I was worridly looking at the guages and all sorts wondering what was wrong, then the dealer said he assumed it was a detector too.
  22. haha im already wising it was 5:30 on friday. My current Insurance has about a month left on it and i switched it over from the Celica to the Z for about £30 extra. Not too bad. I couldnt get insured on the "drive away/1 day insurance" places, mostly due to my age, im 24 however...weird. As for extras. The car has a gloss wrapped roof, a CAI, 4 very good tyres and a powerflow dual exit cat back system. Also, when i approached a speed camera something inside the dashboard beeped, what the heck is this??
  23. Yes. Indeed you did! Well, the car was a flawless example. Deposit paid, price and part exchange agreed. I'm collecting her Friday
  24. Nice cars yeah, but you end up stiring the gearbox a hell of a lot to get a small ammount of power out of it, thats the only issue really. Thats one of the main draws to the 350 as i want power (not crap loads, just enough where it makes driving easy) without having to weld the pedel to the floor ! I've already bought the gloss black wrap form RTBiscuit, so il be re-selling that.
  25. Hey, Thought id best post a "im a n00b" topic in here. Been on the forums for a short while with my stupid questions and even bought a few bits from members and traders on here but am finally getting a 350z soon! Im leaving tonight from work to go and take a look at this.... http://www.uplandsmotorcompany.co.uk/used-cars/nissan-350-z-3-5-v6-3dr-enfield-201301497510161 Will be trading in my Celica for this and some savings etc. Seems a good car from what i can see here, but we shall see this evening.
