  1. decided to start her up and let her sit in the drive this time. again, hovers around 1100 for the first 3-4 mins then ticks down to around 900 after another 3-4 mins. took her for a quick 5 min lap and then parked her with the engine still on and it now sets at around 700 which I hear is the norm
  2. Hey all, Does anyone know what the recommended rev count should be when starting up the zed from cold and when it is idle? I noticed that in the mornings when I start her up for the day that the rev count sits around 1100 revs and will the settle around 900 - 1000 after I've driven 3-5 mins and hit the first set of lights. is this normal/expected? Should I be looking at cleaning the throttle maybe? Thanks in advance for any advice given Nico.

    Jacking the Zed

How many inches, give or take, should should the wood planks raise it? at the moment my blocks are about an inch and a half thick, could double up to give an extra 3 inches of space to slide the jack under.
  6. Hey all, Planning on doing my first DIY oil and oil filter change and just wanted to get some ideas on the best way to jack the zed. I have wheel chocks, 2 jack stands, a 2 tonne trolley jack (with hockey puck "attachment" for the sills) and some pieces of wood to get the zed lifted. Should I be jacking one side of the car and securing with a stand and then doing the same for the other side? or should I use the trolley jack on the front end "Garage Jack point" (see image link below) to jack the front up and the place both jack stands at the same time? Jacking points: http://img31.imagesh...14977123981.jpg I have a sloped driveway so doing it in the garage which means no real space to approach from the side so the front end method makes sense (only if it is viable with a trolley jack though) Nico
