  1. What is it with you guys that when you modify your car to perfection you immediately decide to scratch another itch! Lol Sorry to see you go chap and I have to say that the two best sleeper cars on this forum happen to be midnight blue, (Olly the other one. Good luck with the sale and if anyone is thinking of charging their Z? Don't bother just buy this car!
  2. The question of track day insurance is comparable to the lotto/ Russian roulette! I have done probably a 100 + track days, motorsport events over the past 25 years without insurance/incident which if you factor in around £100'per event is a great saving of well in excess of £10,000 if you are lucky. This happened to me last year and I have £10,000 bill to put my car right! I broke even by pure luck, but it could have been her maiden voyage! Will be insuring my car at all events this year.
  3. Not very happy about this sale as I like Grundy and his well developed car and also his enthusiasm towards the 350z community. Please don't buy his car because we will all miss him too much.......
  4. Managed to get an afternoon in the garage today for the first time for a few weeks. Properly bolted on the front wings which will need a final fettling by the body shop. Also drilled the holes ad trial fitted the 370 side repeaters. Also bolted the extension plate, clear reflectors, mesh grill in the front trout mouth onto the V3 bumper before fitting to the front end. Starting to look like a car again!
  5. Merry Christmas to you Zedders!
  6. Couple of hundred pounds!!! You having a larf Andy hehe! I think you've missed a couple of noughts off somewhere!!! I'm glad its progressing well, and look forward to its resurrection spring 2016 Thanks mate! Not sure what you mean but I did tell the Mrs that the rebuild could be as much as £1000 as I had to wait ages for a silly plastic front bumper which Tarmac ordered from America! Lol.....
  7. Bought her new in 2007. Caught Zeditus and after a couple of hundred pounds and she looked like this! Unfortunately after a nasty roll in the bushes she looked like this a few months ago... Rebuild well under way with an even better look/performance ready in the spring.
  8. Happy birthday mate!
  9. How PC can you get! Del Boys new three wheeler with Uncle Alberts Zimmer stuffed in the front window gets centre stage over the sleek black menacing sports car in the back ground!
  10. Happy Birthday my friend!
  11. Since the session Bob and I had I've been busy sorting out the forced induction piping and the various oil coolers so I could fire up the engine to check for any leaks. The biggest problem I've faced is trying to work out where a lot of the bespoke GTM parts go as when she crashed the ancillary parts were all hanging down in a right mess! Thanks to OllyB for sending me some pics of his GTM install to show the position of the oil cooler. Fired up the engine yesterday for the first time and the oil pressure zoomed to 120 which I've never seen before so shut her down. Lots of reading on forums and talk of don't worry high pressure is good, catastrophic engine failure eminent.eeek I've been extremely careful to photograph the position of all the oil piping so I'm now doubting my plumbing skills as my £8,000 engine is at stake! Buster popped over and said"you done good dude, fire it up and let the oil pump do its stuff!" Started her up,oil went up 120+ with choke on and slowly after 2/3mins she dropped down to 60 psi. No air leaks in the forced induction system so all the the Silver Pheonix needs now is some new clothes! More to come.
  12. Looks really sweet mate!

  14. Ouch! Sorry to see this Steve. That's the reason I've decided when my car is finnished it's never coming out of the garage! Lol.
  15. Thanks for your kind words Chris. I did feel a tinge of sadness pulling out of the drive for the last time Friday evening but I'm so pleased we have got the job done considering the legal delays and then the bad weather of late. It has been a pleasure working for you both. Great progress this weekend and I hope Kim's head isn't too bad. Looking forward to sitting back and watching the interior fixtures being installed. Flashing Blade signing out! Lol
  16. Happy birthday Dan!
  17. Such sad news. Our thoughts are with Martins loved ones.
  18. Happy birthday mate!
  19. Happy birthday mate!
  20. Welcome along Dan!
  21. Wow! My 1976 Ford Capri 1.3 in white with the very trendy black leatherette roof cost me the princely sum of £650! Bet that Citroen would probably buy you a house if you still had it now!
  22. Hope your having a good day mate!
  23. Happy birthday Jim!
  24. I agree Olly. If it was round I recon a few speed humps would make it that shape anyway! Lol
  25. Thanks. Been trying to grab a few hours at the weekend so progress has been fairly slow until all the parts arrived.
