  1. Nice motor! I do love a sleeper as you know! The Germans so get the interiors spot on.
  2. If I had an extra garage and I know they have already increased in price over the last few years. The mk 1 golf GTI 1.6 in black would be the one for me!
  3. Great progress once again guys! Hope to see you next fingers crossed.
  4. Welcome along mate! I can remember when I ordered my car new in April 07 with no idea of a delivery date. Enjoy the build up and when the day of collection arrives do yourself a favour drive home and erase all links to this place before it's too late!
  5. Would love to do this one but unless you have OEM or a very quiet aftermarket set up you will struggle to pass the very low sound test level which is 90 db. I know my car is boosted but with a full Miltek system my reading at Goodwood last weekend was 96!!! Great circuit with some super fast corners. Might come along in my Bipper van! Lol
  6. I have spent a small fortune experimenting with all the leading brands of so called summer tyres and I'm not going to slag any particular brand as every car has an individual set up with ref to power, wheel size, dry weather and maybe a trackday/Motorsport bias. In my experience with the events I do the Michelin pilot SS is the best all round tyre by a big margin and are even a match for the toyo 888rs which I run on my rays once they have a couple of laps of heat in them.
  7. Ordered some exhaust gaskets yesterday afternoon and they arrived this morning! Great service as ever Ewan.
  8. On this advice alone my wife purchased 2 Clematis plants today (east facing wall just so you know) I will let you know how they do Gotta luv this forum not only am I writing a build thread on a garage instead of a car (let alone a Zed) I'm even getting gardening advice - spot on Just so you all know the water board has been paid, video survey next week, structural engineer has produced a plan (exact calcs to be done if the design is acceptable) we are also in talks with the water board "Sewer Protection Officer" despite the title (not even sure if it his official title) he seems spot on and he will give us a heads up on our plan all being well we should get confirmation (or denial ) on or around the 21st so a 3 week delay, we are going to rip out another hedge line while we wait and I have a few jobs to finish in the house, Andy and Tim (the builders) have finished the retaining wall and are going to occupy themselves on a few little jobs they have outstanding for other clients while we try and get everything back on track. I'll get some pics of progress and the other hedge removal later this week or at the weekend. Be good, take care and above all HAVE FUN! Its been a hard couple of weeks and good progress has been made by the day and night shift but unfortunately the Zed shed construction team has had to put things on hold while the legals get sorted. I think the home team may be busy fencing this weekend though! We will miss you guys.........
  9. im on track at 11:40 dunno when yours are 10,11.40 and 14.40
  10. Due to over subscription and priority given to championship contenders I haven't got an entry at Shelsley on the 16th August even though my cheque was banked!... After a frantic session on the I pad I have managed to divert my quest for speed to Japfest 2 at Rockingham! Hotel booked and 3 track sessions lined up. Not been to this venue before so looking forward to it.
  11. Two nice days at Goodwood in one weekend! Who needs to travel by Ryanair! Lol
  12. Fantastic meet today! Sun,great location, good company and I think we had the best stand on show! Starting a list of who is Sunburnt. 1.kat 2.netti 3.? Lol
  13. Car running well but the clutch slipped again on one of the runs. Hope it hangs on till the end of the season. Winter mods will be twin plate,Kaz Diff andsome paintwork as all the track work has had its toll on the front bumper which looks like it has been shot with a cannon full of "p" shingle! Lol
  14. I know you prefer the other rims Bob but your car at this moment is the best it's looked IMO
  15. Amazing pics and video Colin! My dash cam only gives the in car view so it's really nice to see the car as others see it in action! Thanks for popping down to lend your support and friendly banter! Look forward to seeing you at the Brighton Speed Trials on Sept 5th
  16. Chris and Kim I take my hat off to you both with what you have accomplished with the fence this weekend! Can't wait to get to site tomorrow to start laying the 800 no concrete block retaining wall! Eeeek! The weather is going to be hot this week so Busters stock of Pepsi Max cans in the fridge may go missing! Lol
  17. We have been up against it today as removing an underground nuclear bunker was not part of the site clearance budget! But as you can see with proactive organisation, the correct tools and some bloody minded determination we won! Makes you wonder what kind of person wants and builds a greenhouse like that! Eeeek!
  18. Will be at Goodwood this coming Saturday for Eagle Sprint. Two laps of the historic track against the clock which is harder than you think as your out there on your own without anyone to chase or follow the lines of someone that knows the track backwards! Going to gamble on tyre choice on this one and run the car on my 19"s shod with the mpss. Was really impressed with grip on track at Silverstone last weekend and have found that the toyo 888rs in hot weather overheat after only a couple of quick laps which means they might go soft on me after the practice runs before the event! If my name was Hamilton I could probably swoop in after lap one and change them over for just a 3 second stop and steal the trophy but then where would the fun be in that! ............. Lol
  19. Shame about the weather but still a good spread put on by the Zed shed crew and once again Beb was brilliant on the Barbie!
  20. I know its pathetic that its taken me 3 years to reach the 1000 post mark but i would like to say a big thankyou to all of you fellow Zeditus sufferers who have managed to persuade me to spend my pension fund changing my perfectly good car into the beast i now own Katrina and i were only discussing last night what an amazing social life we have because of the forum. This summer we have already been to Japfest, leeds Castle,Nurburgring,Donnington,Trax and there are many more events to come without my racing events dovetailed in between! Also a special thankyou to the Zed Shed team who always manage to come up trumps with help and **** taking when required Think my car is a keeper and as Pappa says" i love this place"
  21. welcomed along and nice to see another rare red Zed! I do hope yours is covered in paint rather than clingfilm like so many other imposters!!
