  1. Yeh they were the only two posts that I could find, The details in them are a bit vague so thought i'd ask here. Is it just as simple as running a wire straight to a point on the chassie? I thought this would have been an option but never herd of it. couldn't find anything on fleebay last night, just realised the only word i never put in with the searches last night was "interior" what a simple oversight! All the branded ones i can find are for DAB i'm assuming they wont work with the old bose HU?, Must be simple enough to wire up when found though.
  2. Looking at getting a respray soon and thought about removing the stock aerial to smooth it over but not sure on how to go about still receiving a signal for the radio? Surely someone else has done this. Hopeless when it comes to electrics unfortunately
  3. Changed out my front washer motor yesterday. Noticed it was labeled ff and fr. I changed the ff for the front. But what does the ff and fr stand for? obviously ff front and fr rear but what exactly does the ff and fr initials stand for? Must be simple and I'm just over looking it
  4. All seated fine? I fitted mine(tein) and instantly felt better even before geo set up. Shocks ok?
  5. Been a while since i've done much/ updated this Rear windows tinted Fitted braided HEL lines all round just before the MOT last year no pics Wee box of goodies to work with, a magnetic sump plug and molyslip in there hiding Had a busy day yesterday giving her a post winter service and check over Washer pump packed in whist being parked up over the winter, so replaced that. Engine oil, Gearbox oil & molyslip, Diff oil Changed back away from the nissan gearbox and diff oil and much happier with it now Mechanically pretty sound and happy with everything, a few of the lower suspension bushes are looking a bit past it so will look into replacing them at somepoint in the summer hopefully, no play in them but they do look a bit past it. Few bad stone chips on the bonnet, and a fair few rust bubbles appearing here and there so will be shopping around for a full respray to sort this out and make a few subtle changes, Hopefully will find someone good, local and not too expensive W-brace needs removed and cleaned up and painted, gave it a good check and its pretty solid just looks bad, few rusty metal trims under near abit rotten and need replaced but as far as i can see they just help hold on plastic trim so nothing that can't wait till summer as still solid enough for now.
  6. I'm sure its just an update to the packaging, I spotted this on some websites when I was looking to buy the oil's for this years service. just need the time and weather to do them now.
  7. Description You can drive an agricultural or forestry tractor Thats news to me, and even better i have a provisional for a tank ? [*] You can drive tracked vehicles You can drive a road roller
  8. Would you need a smaller ratio to keep the traction control settings the same? Or would it still be within tolerance?
  9. Why do places never spray the caps when they refurb the alloys?
  10. Spending the new year in the north sea
  11. Had a similar but not quite so bad thing happen to me with my type r, van reversed and smashed his tow bar into my bumper and did a runner outside a shop on the way to work one morning. Passer by gave me his reg and I followed it up the the police. They weren't interested and said its just a cracked bumper, didn't even bother going to see the van driver. So never got it fixed through his insurance as the police never built a case. But got hit with increased insurance for 3 years despite never making a claim just because I had reported it to his insurance it showed up on the database, well p***ed off. Would have been better just getting revenge as I found out where he parked at nights and at least then would have had some satisfaction. Hope you get on better
  12. Currently waiting on our samsung led tv to either be fixed or replaced under warranty. 3 year old and back light started flickering. They've had it 2 1/2 week and still haven't decided if they are replacing it or repairing it! Told me I'd be lucky if I had anything back by the new year, if it wasn't for the warranty it would probably just be easier replacing it with tv being so cheap these days
  13. I had mine snap off on the motorway once and had to drill and tap it. Easy job and worth trying before you change out the full base unit. Think its a m5 tap but can't remember off the top of my head.
  14. play mario kart Loved that game! shame Nintendo don't make a good console these days Just hoping they bring out a new colin mcrae dirt out soon or a NFS like the good old underground series
  15. being honest i get bored of the games with only tracks as it ends up all feeling the same. not too fussed for realistic handling either as its a computer game, just want quick fun.
  16. Better than drive club? Stuck between which one of these two to get with nfs also a possibility.
  17. ps4 + GTA + COD AW £299 from 247eletronics
  18. They made me a full 3" system with 200cell sports cats with tips to look standard. I love the sound! But thinking of getting the tips changed to quads before I go for a respray, just can't make my mind up. They also did a cat back for the Mrs ix35, sounds much better and she always gets comments on it as no one has seen/heard anything like it on a ix35.
  19. Getting your alignment done will transform the cars feel if it's way out or not been done for a while
  20. Stainless creations in Falkirk could do that for you no problem. But depends how close you are as I'm sure any exhaust place should be able to do it no problem if there is one more local
  21. Experience counts for more to most companies than qualifications I think, that's why it's so difficult for young adults to get a job as no one is willing to give them the experience.
  22. I'm glad I never went to uni, chose an apprenticeship instead. Was more due to hating the whole sitting in a classroom thing and preferring to work but now I see plenty of people I know who went to uni and have all singing all dancing degrees etc and the work in basic run of the mill jobs on low or average income, don't get me wrong a few have done well but it seems that uni and a degree didn't help much.
  23. The atmosphere will be brilliant. hope I'm not away and can get tickets
  24. Just make sure the mating surfaces where the copper crush washer sits isn't pitted or corroded to ensure a good seal
