  1. Hey Andrew, yesterday was probably on my way back from the supermarket. Kris, your car is not loud enough Never out cause that's the joys of working 60-70 hours a week, am normally out on a Tuesday and Thursday when in the studio but normally home early doors for getting up at 5:30 in the morning for work yet again
  2. Agreed, but you only have to look at any of the nicotine containing products such as patches and the like, due to the content of nicotine these are regulated as medicinal products. Why therefore would any of the vapours containing nicotine therefore not be treated as such. Not saying I agree entirely with the approach but this is government led, albeit with a degree of lobbying from pharma
  3. HaydnH, can understand your disagreement to eCigs being regarded a medicine but there has to be a degree of regulation in place, such as CE marking of the devices themselves to ensure a level of quality, and given that components of the vapours themselves have already been cited to include propylene glycol, glycerine and of course nicotine I for one would want these to be of a suitable grade, such as complying with the monographs of the European and/or British pharmacopoeias. I would be surprised if these were ever considered as prescription only products, more likely that they will be regulated by the MHRA but granted a general sales list category such that they can be sold on shop shelves, such as your supermarket own brand paracetamol tablets etc. I would add that I am smoker, still on cigarettes, and have looked at the whole eCig thing but have yet to try
  4. This will come in time, I believe the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is already considering how to implement regulations/guidance as to how eCigs will be regulated in the UK, both from a perspective of the vapours inhaled and the devices used to inhale. This will then likely open the door to the taxman taking his significant cut so would expect prices to increase as they have done year on year with cigarettes.

  12. My mate is a Clinical Trials project manager . My wife works in the industry, worked for Quintiles, Chiltern, Pharmanet, Novella Clinical and now for InventivHealth, she's being headhunted on a daily basis, internal and external Spent over 5 years at Quintiles but that's the only one from those listed, have however worked at 5 other companies including the one I am currently with. Will not share my opinions on project managers though Suits, wouldn't have the same effect with the swear filter in place.

Mostly deal with the politics and bureaucracy behind the industry working with government regulatory bodies across the globe to get clinical trials approved or new products onto the market.
