  1. Cheers guys, the anticipation levels are building and my patience is crap. Just waiting on the wheels being refurbed and then it should be ready to collect, at this point Saturday can't come soon enough
  2. Being too fastidious mate, there were stone chips all over and wee bits here and there, so in for a penny in for a pound went for a full respray. Some might classify me as mad for going all out but at the end of the day need some way of spending my money. Will get the callipers blue at some point, will need to have a word with Alex to see if he is still doing them on an exchange basis
  3. Few more pics received from the bodyshop, doesn't look too far off being finished now.
  4. Cant wait to get the car back mate, been the longest 2 weeks ever not having use of a car but the end is in sight. Will see you at the run on the 6th, as am equally looking forward to having a good look round your new toy
  5. Going to be late Saturday morning before I get the car back. Had Alex round about 30 mins ago picking up a new set of MPSS to go on the wheels once the refurb has been done. With any luck I might get a photo or two of bumper and skirts fitted before collecting the car or may hold off until I can get some decent shots on Saturday after picking the car up
  6. This one Stevie, http://www.350z-uk.c...-run-6th-april/ Twin supercharging is not a consideration at present particularly as am spending a lot of time looking at R8s at present seeing as they're coming down in price
  7. Looking at a 10 day turnaround. Car was dropped off yesterday so they could begin the stripping process and have the body shop owner coming over in his van this morning to pick up the front bumper and side skirts, which gives me a chance to have a final run through of what needs to be done. He should hopefully be bringing a couple of wheel colour samples, nothing outlandish am going to go the shadow chrome route. Will hopefully get confirmation this morning as well as to whether I'll receive photos of the work whilst being done. Stevie, years is a bit of an exaggeration but yes has been a long time coming, all being well will be ready for the run on April 6th and may consider Crail on the 14th. Kris, no comment
  8. Car was dropped off at the body shop this morning, now the agonising wait for the work to be done. Am hoping I'll receive some photos during the process and will post up if and when they become available
  9. Looks good mate, hope to get the chance to see it in the flesh
  10. Tarmac can source from the US but its not cheap if your considering an original Nismo kit. There are copies but no guarantee on fitment.

  12. Many thanks Ewen, AW may be a better shout as my sis is in lives and work in the town.
  13. Would any of our Aberdeen members have any recommendations for local garages/MOT testers? Sister needs to put her car in for MOT (Hyundai Coupe MY07) and is looking for any suggestions to avoid taking to either Arnold Clarks or Kwikfit. Many thanks in advance for any advice/recommendations you have.
  14. Feel your pain mate, been here before with our previous drummer, as great as he was on the drums he was continually smashed at rehearsals making life difficult. Final straw was him getting so drunk before a gig at King Tuts that he couldn't even play the first 4 bars of our opening track before slumping in heap in the kit. Took us a long time to find someone else but we've finally just got ourselves back out gigging after almost 2 years out. If the rest of them are not taking it as seriously as you it might be worthwhile seeing what other bands are about. Aside from our ex drummer the rest of us take it seriously which is why I've been in the band for the last 7 years - when I joined I didn't know any of them but are all best mates now.
  15. Mine was bonded to the bumper after painting with a couple of bolts/self tapping screws on the underside. Don't see any reason why it couldn't be done as a DIY
  16. Wouldn't classify it as a build thread as its just external cosmetic work, hence styling seemed the most appropriate place. If our kind moderators deem otherwise it is at their discretion as to whether it is moved.
  17. It definitely needs a respray, am keeping it the same colour but have wanted the Nismo v3 front end since I first got the car so took the plunge. Hoping for something along the lines of below, but only the centre parts of the grill in a dark colour, lower part of splitter will be in body colour
  18. Okay bit of a thread revival, as getting close to putting the car in to the bodyshop yet again. Had Alex from Kennedy Coachworks come and visit me at home this morning to have a look over the car and agree on price for a bit of an overhaul. As the car is a little over 6.5 years old now will be going in for a full respray, with the hope that I might have matching panels as at present they are all slightly different with only two matching. I will be retaining the original Temper Orange colour. The work will include the fitting of my new Nismo V3 front bumper and side skirts, which have been sat in the box since delivery from Tarmac last tear, together with a repair of the Chargespeed rear end (some minor spider cracking around the taillights). Included in the price will be a refurb of the Volks alloys as well. The alloys are in good condition but the price quoted seems daft not to include them as part of the overall deal, although admittedly am stuck between either going for a shadow chrome or hyper silver finish. Just need to find a suitable date to get the car in with them which unfortunately is governed by work commitments but hope that I will have the car finished by the end of March at the latest, if not sooner (although this could be dictated by the weather). I hope that they will provide me with photographs during the process and will post up as and when these become available.
  19. I've run with the Berk HFC for almost 2 years now and they have past the MOT each time with no issues whatsoever
  20. You definitely need to buy a louder exhaust, just about made out something whilst playing the PS4 last night
