  1. A decent corner and there will be tyre damage, I'll put my money on it. I am a bit confused to how you think going around a corner will lead to tyre damage
  2. I realise is may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I rather like it. As I said Im more show than go, considering I only use the Zed on weekends.
  3. Hey guys, I got a bit bored of my old 19" wheels and thought I would upgrade, Originally I wanted something more showy and bigger (20") but came across some nice 22" wheels So out of boredom I got the 22" wheels and decided to swap them today! They are 9.5J all round with an offset of 25, and then I have 20mm spacers all round so that makes it an offset of just +5. The front tyre size is 245 30 22, and the rears are 295 25 22. I realise the wheel diameter is bigger than the original, but I didnt want too low profile tyres. Here are some pics, and a small clip. BEFORE ON 19" AFTER ON 22" stretched! Video link: http://s1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd3 ... V06696.mp4 I was quite surprised how the ride was, it was fairly good and not too bad. I dont use the car a lot, so I quite enjoy having the "show" car look. And being that I live in Milton Keynes the roads are very good and pot holes are not so common. Anyway, what do you guys think?

    Admiral renewal

Am I the only one then, that got a cheaper renewal from Admiral? 20+ overall no claims bonus, 40, 3 cars, 350z GT4, Golf Tdi mk4, and a toyota landcruiser All for £850. Mainly the zed costing the most, but far cheaper than other insurance companies. Im rather happy
  5. Hi, 3 left! New price is £40 + FREE POSTAGE!

    350z seats

Hi mate, judging by your prices this will be a long shot. But will you take £75 for the seats, considering I'll need a new airbag and to get it reupholstered back up. Thanks
  7. where did you get the module reset? £25 is very cheap.
  8. The wheel nuts tend to be made from light weight alloy which means they will round off easily. You should be able to use a slightly smaller socket as someone has mentioned, whack it in with a hammer and then undo it. I did this for the original nissan security nuts as I lost the Key. It worked really easy.
  9. Just check that the HU has a RCA video input and also a remote wire to trigger the camera on, although I guess if it is manual it wouldn't be too much of a pain.... You then wire the camera to your reverse light wire so it gets power when the light is on and run the rca video to the HU and remote wire if needed, so yeah all pretty much plug and play. Have a search for BM's guide on here I used the exact same camera from eBay took a little while to arrive from China but for less than £20 you can't complain Thanks mate, the camera feed at the back is one rca connector (female). Then there is a wire which I have connected up the the reversing gear which will trigger the camera. I just want to find a suitable camera that will work. There seem to be a lot on ebay. Do you know where I could find the thread?
  10. Thanks Dave, it was actually your posts in other 'help' threads that helped me to understand the principles! Thought a few more pictures wouldn't hurt anyone attempting this Thanks, and great pictures... I fitted my first HU 3 days after I bought the car and I wasn't an active forum member then, I followed the threads on here too so it is nice to help others out if I can Does the 640 have a video in, if it does you can pick up a rear view camera for under £20 on eBay that plugs straight in.... more of a gadget than a necessity but if it stops one little dink then it's worth the money 10 times over I have a JVC HU as well, KW-AVX110. I looked at getting a reversing camera but JVC want a lot of money. Will the One's on ebay work, plug and play?
  11. All cars use something called a Spill control valve or a stop control valve which is located on the pump. Over time these can fail and stop working. The stop control valve shuts off the fuel supply to the engine and therefore the engine turns off, when starting it should release it self and then allow fuel through. There are many reasons why it could be stuck. Blockage, solenoid is dead....
  12. I do all the servicing on the zed myself, mainly because it is a lot cheaper but also the fact that I can't trust anywhere else with. I feel a lot more safe doing it myself.
  13. If it was bellow the L mark would there not be a Low oil level indicator which would be on the dash....
  14. I gave my throttle body a clean at about 30,000 miles. It was not as dirty as yours but it did make a difference. I did the throttle reset procedure after I cleaned it and then noticed the difference. I would recommend you do the same, and I'm sure you will notice a change. Have a search round and you will find the procedure.
  15. Just asking what has everyone got against sponges.... I make sure the sponges are clean, as well as the bucket before I touch the car with it. I have always been using this method, and not have any problems. I have used it on my landcruiser which is 17 years old and she still looks brand new
  16. I have a Nitro Thunder Tiger MTA4 truck. It is awesome. You can buy winter glow plugs to use them in the cold but they can still be temperamental. Best time to use them is when its warm. I will post some pics up of it in action later!
  17. Niceeee I would have gone a darker colour for the zed logo though.
  18. Yeh, I get my tyre guy to balance to at least 5g.
  19. Ok, I re-torqued all the nuts and now there is little to no vibrations, Smooth as a whistle! Thanks everyone!
  20. When I was running my 20" they were with the same spacers as well, so the only thing I have changed are the wheels. Im going to swap some wheels around and see if that makes any difference.
  21. The guys got guts though, especially on those roads with oncoming cars!
