Yeh, I guess thats another option, but for the Supra its different. They go for crazy money over there, over $15,000 for a stock mk4 supra... And the landcruiser I have had for 15 years, so shes part of the family!

Hi, I may be moving to america next year summer, and as much as I love the american cars, I am thinking of taking my 350z over there, as well as my Landcruiser and Supra. I have done some research and firstly I will be allowed to take 1 vehicle in for 1 year as I will be a american citizen. The other 2 will have to go through the checks though. The bit that worries me is the Bumper check. It is a safety check that when a car hits something at low speed the bumper must be able to flex and compact ect. Then there is a emissions test/ mpg where they must be able to achieve 22.5 mpg on a combined cycle. Firstly it will work out about £2500 (including fees) to get them all shipped there, and no duty as I am a citizen. Then another $3000 ($1000 each to go through the test) Has anyone got any other information I should know about, is it worth it? Im kinda attached to my cars so it will be hard to sell them!

aha nice, how wide are they, it says R13? I have a set of 295 30 18 in the garage, but I think you should go for that wide look with the 315, or wider, whatever will fit under the arch?

You'll need some seriously wide tyres in the back to handle all that power..... 315 maybe

People who dont go in the right lanes on the motorway.... Its only in the UK you get this. I was driving alll over europe a few weeks ago and everyone overtakes and then goes back into the slow lane, never once hit traffic or saw an accident. The fast lane literally ends up empty. Personally I think driving test should get harder so you dont end up with fools driving.

Happened to me a few weeks back on my European road trip in my Landcruiser going down the swiss alps! I believe it was a 12% decline for about 3 miles, I knew the brakes wernt going to survive so lowered the gears (automatic), and nothing happend due to going to fast so had to sling it round the corner instead. By time I got to the bottom my breaks were on fire, smoke from all corners.

How much water, is there a puddle in the light, if so then it would be a good idea to get the water out asap before damaging the unit. Some pics maybe?

Being an air con engineer I will tell you that you should never need to regas it. If its losing gas then it means there is a leak. If it's leaked then there's a chance the compressor has went. Get an air con specialist to do the work, not qwik fit or a home fix. But I thought over time, you need to refill your air con gas. I recently refiled my landcruiser after about 15 years.....

You can get a decent mk4 Gold for about 1500, good economy and quick! 60 mpg!

regarding the air con refill, you can buy the gas from halfrauds and connect it to the low end and re gas it, should get about 2-3 refills with 1 tin.

There is some build up of carbon you can see and some sticky stuff on the edges. As you have gone this far you might as well give it a clean. You will be surprised how much of a difference it will make.

Yes, the sidelights and the rear number plate lights are the same. 4 of them will do the job!

I have these as well, they are Very nice and give out a very bright white light, also cheap and Mine has lasted a few months and in my other cars years.

Doesnt cars tend to tramline if you have to wide tyres in front? I run 265 in front and notice on bad roads, and uneven road angles I get tramlining but when the roads are flat and smooth there is no issue.

+1 I have seen some Cat D's for sale and they offered engineers report. It covers you as well if they try and blame any accident on you at a later date. Ok, I will get a engineers report done. Anyone know where?

hmm A MK4 Golf tdi. You can get one for about £1500 in decent condition. Good on performance, and excellent on fuel economy 60mpg + . I know you say your budget is 1500 but if you stretch that to about £2000 you can get a good one and the fuel economy will just repay you. I own one and they are nice cars, not much goes wrong, if anything!

Yes, I thought 12k is a bit too much for it but I am in no rush of selling her anyway. I guess a more realistic price would be about £10,500.

Hi Guys and Girls, Sadly, the time has come where I am going to have to sell my 350z. Mainly because I am the only driver in my family, and I now have 4 cars. It is not economical running 4 cars on 1 driver. I recently bought a Toyota Supra and I am in need of space to fit it and fix her up. I am also going to be moving to the states soon so I thought it would be better if I put her on the forum that on ebay, as I would prefer someone on the forum to buy it than a complete stranger, if you know what I mean. Anyway I have owned her for the past 7/8 months. I have enjoyed every single moment of it and I am really not looking forward to selling her, but in one way I am happy to keep her and sell the supra. Depends on the interest I get. Ok, She is a Yellow GT4 (49) , so she comes with all the extras, like heated seats, boss stereo, steering wheel functions and most importantly the extra hp talking it close to 300 bhp (296). Anyway here is a bit of history on the car. The car had a small incident that was proven to be a CAD D which is the lowest possible crash incident. From the damage I believe it may have scraped the side of a wall. There was no engine/ component chassis damage at all. It was all panel damage, except from one arm that was bent. Technically speaking I am the 4th owner on this car, but after the accident it went to the insurance people who were listed as a owner and then someone bought it in mind of repairing it but never got round to it so I am really the second owner. Good News is the car is 2005, and had its accident in the middle if 2007. It was then stored inside a warehouse for 4 years before sold again. This means it is only about 3 years old, which is why the body work is in immaculate condition, plus I resprayed the accident side so the paint work is in brilliant condition as well as the interior which is black leather by the way. Ok, it has about 28,000 miles so very low! 19" Team dynamics Drifz wheels with pirreli tyres all in good condition, MINT condition! I have the old GT4 wheels, not in great condition but can throw in if the price is right! It has about 3 boot mats in the back and the 350z mats in front. Tinted windows all round Recently changed both compression arms (one was bent on the accident so changed them both) It is always covered when not in use! The inside is MINT! Bad Point! - The cup holder is broken (previous owner) Overall the car has been a pleasure to own and has never let me down. It drives very nice and the ride is fantastic for a sport car. I was even considering shipping her over to the states, as I can see her being a future classic. Price wise, I am looking for offers around £10,500 as it is very low mileage and the inside and outside of the car is immaculate!
