  1. It will look fine, especially for track........ dont be so prissy!
  2. What about mounting 2 in pillar pods and one in the OEM gauges
  3. Thanks for your reply mate. I think i misunderstood your initial statement above, I read it to mean that you can remap with Uprev or to unlock the true potential use UTEC, thus i was interested to know why you thought the UTEC would do more to unlock the potential than the uprev. But i think you ment that to unlock the true potential of the car's mod's you need to map it. Which i completely understand. Regarding the brakes i saw your reply, thanks . I also read about them over at the Evo forum, they seem to rate them in general. Sorry to go off topic! To OP: I would agree that that your would be better to run in the gear closest to 1:1 ratio, which i think is 4th or 5th? And a remap will help too.
  4. Nah i dont need another Zed thanks But you now you can still go down the route your thinking with the G if you know what i mean
  5. Ahhh the quest for more power I the best thing to do it try to test drive/get driven in an FI zed and the M3 your interested in or whatever else and compare the two. If you go with FI than a big money saver is to get a quality second hand kit as mentioned above and enjoy the power hike, should be looking at around 400bhp.
  6. Thats good news Let me know when your coming to pick i up then so i can have it ready for you
  7. I would like 1st dibs on the whole BBK (front and back), you have a PM.
  8. Thanks mate But im hoping i can land a genuine one before i go for a copy I would have thought somone out there might have one
  9. Nice one, looks great, too shinky to capture Im looking forward to doing one of these stints on my zed. Did it on my gloss red skyline not so long ago and it came out brilliant. Not sure how it will come out on GM, i prefer gloss colours.
  10. The strosek is nice, but not what im looking for Anyone got whats in the title?
  11. Hi there mate, (thanks again for the brake thread) Im interested in your statement about the utec unlocking the "true potential" of the car. I have a TT setup and was thinking whether i should take it out and go with uprev or retain it and find an authorised tuner to check it over for me etc. When you say 'unlock true potential' what do you mean exactly, can you quantify that, what exactly would the utec have over the uprev? Please dont take offence as thats not my intention, just trying to learn
  12. Wow, thanks for the great reply mate Very much appreciated, beyond what i expected TBH RE rebuild: Its very good that they have a proper agents here that you can deal with and get parts from etc RE dust sheilds: When you say the kit is complete and replaces everything, do you mean they replace the OEM dust sheilds with new ones or retains them? aplogies i didnt understand. The handbrake bit sounds great. RE Fit: i want to keep a set of 18's for the track so im glad the 356mm with 8pot's fits. RE the superficial issue of colour : I was thinking of that sam yellow myself, do they offer that colour new? You mentioned you get some brake squeel from cold, how long does it take to go away? Do you think the copper grease trick will help? Sorry, more questions again, just doing research before parting with the cash thanks a lot, guess they have to go on the shortlist now
  13. Its actually very spacious in the back, more so than my freinds 330 BM, i have had for big adults in ther a few times, and im 6ft2" so its not too bad at all.
  14. GLWTS, and i really mean it Got some Rays for sale then?
  15. Looking for the above, in that order really. Cant seem to find them anywhere Any help appreciated (I have tried Chilli Red and CS but they dont have the above) Thanks
  16. Thanks for the review GT4 Zed, very nice of you to take the time. And im glad your enjoying your mod. I have a couple of questions, i hope you dont mind: Was wondering if these calipers can be refurbished/rebuilt if the time comes? Also do you need to remove the caliper for a pad change, or just knock out the pins on the top and remove the pads? Do they retain the OEM dust sheilds and what about the handbrake? Do they fit under the OEM 18's/Rays? Finally do you know where they are manufactured, ie UK, Japan, States or Taiwan etc? Oh and did you find any negatives from running the huge rears in regards to brake bias/performance/stability? Is there a recommended rear upgrade do maintain the brake balance? Sorry for all the questions, i just cant find much info out there on them, if you know any other unbiased reviews out there i would appreciate a pointer, as i know you must have done your research. Thanks again mate
